Who Performs it the Best?

DarksideEric

Call me "Hadouken." I'm ↓→ fierce.
I'm curious as to what you guys think for who, from any era, performs the following maneuvers the best and why:

Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock
Figure Four
Powerbomb (and variants like gut wrench, double underhook, etc)
Piledriver
Moonsault
Flying Elbow Drop
"Superkick"
Sleeper (including variants such as Tazmission/Million Dollar Dream)
Stalling Suplex
Snap Suplex
"Cutter" (Diamond Cutter, RKO, etc)
Boston Crab (including variants like the Lion Tamer, Maple Leaf, etc)
Chokeslam
Punch Combination (basically, who do you feel has the best striking combination)
Hurricanrana

Myanswers, in order:

Bret Hart: Simple reason I grew up on Bret more than Sting and Bret became my favorite.
Ric Flair: Well, because Ric Flair.
Brock Lesnar: Because he'd often do multiple powerbombs in a row. Always loved that.
Jerry Lawler: Of the regular piledrivers (non-Tombstone) his looked the most believable to me.
Ultimo Dragon: Dragonsault blew me out of the water when I first saw it.
Shawn Michaels: I love Savage and all, but that little bit of flair that Shawn adds while descending makes it for me.
Shawn Michaels: Because, well... it's Shawn Michaels. He's the only one off the top of my head who uses it as an actual finisher.
Ted DiBiase Sr.: Was always a fan of trapping the arm instead of just the rear naked.
Goldberg: To me, he makes it the most believeable.
Bret Hart: I feel he indeed, from what I've seen, put the "snap" in "Snap Suplex."
Diamond Dallas Page: The innovation of the Diamond Cutter blows current things like the RKO out of the water. If Orton ever does an RKO out of a Powerbomb set up, then I'd be sold on him.
Chris Jericho: Lance Storm is an extremely close second, but Jericho worked getting the Lion Tamer off from things like Hurricanranas.
Kane: Being as he made it his major finisher, he always made it feel more powerful.
Steve Austin: Brawling is what he does. Period.
Rey Mysterio: I will forever love his old finisher of the Springboard Hurricanrana. Always.

Forgot to add this in:

Please feel free to add your own "who does it the best" to the list, as I'd like to give my thoughts to your questions as well.

Sharpshooter/deathlock.
Brett Hart

Figure four. Ric Flair no doubt

Powerbomb. I liked the vaderbomb

Piledrive. Mr wonderful paul orndorphs. Alway was a fan of his.

Moonsault. BME christopher Daniels.

Flying elbow drop. Savage, to me he made it famous and just did it the best.

Superkick. Yeah Shawn Michaels

Sleeper. Never cared for the move but I'll go with Sergeant Slaughters cobra clutch.

Stalling suplex. I agree,
Goldberg.

Snap suplex. Dynamite Kid.

Cutter. Yeah DDP.

Boston crab. Lots of people did it good, the Iron Shiek and Jericho to me did it best.

Chokeslam. Yeah I like kanes as well.

Punching combos. Stone cold, cant think of anyone that did it better.

Hurricanrana. So many wrestlers do it good but Ray Mysterio could hit it from anywhere.

Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock-My personal favorite is the Rock but Brett did it best
Figure Four-Flair easily
Powerbomb (and variants like gut wrench, double underhook, etc)-Jushin "Thunder" Liger
Piledriver-Foley hit some nice ones
Moonsault-Christopher Daniels
Flying Elbow Drop-Gotta go Savage here
"Superkick"-I'm a fan of the "nitro blast" and ADR's but HBK here
Sleeper (including variants such as Tazmission/Million Dollar Dream)-Taz I too wasn't a fan of it
Stalling Suplex-Goldberg is the only one I can remember who did it right now
Snap Suplex-Yep Dynamite Kid
"Cutter" (Diamond Cutter, RKO, etc)-Orton I hate the guy but he's sick with it
Boston Crab (including variants like the Lion Tamer, Maple Leaf, etc)-Jericho
Chokeslam-Kane
Punch Combination (basically, who do you feel has the best striking combination)-Undertaker
Hurricanrana-John Cena....I kid, I kid...or am I...Rey Mysterio

I want to add the Spinebuster and 450 Splash
Spinebuster-I liked Batista's and Triple H's but Arn Anderson possibly did it best it's between him and Trips off the top of my head.
450 Splash-AJ Styles because he literally hits it from everywhere and it's always flawless

Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock- The Rock. He puts a bit of flair into an otherwise old and tired move.

Figure Four - Ric Flair, because of the little dance and "woooo" he does before it.

Powerbomb (and variants like gut wrench, double underhook, etc)- Ordinary power bomb Vader. He did it very stiff, would've hurt. JBL's cigarette stubbing gets an honorable mention too. For a variant I can't look past Jushin Thunder Liger's Liger bomb.

Piledriver- Undertakers Tombstone. He looks the least un-co doing it out of all the other people who try. If you meant normal piledriver- Jerry the King Lawler, When he wanted to he used to incorporate quite a devastating looking jump into it.

Moonsault- Vader, the most impressive to me due to his size.

Flying Elbow Drop- Macho Man Randy Savage. The majesticism of it.

"Superkick"- Shawn Micheals, I had to pick someone. I always liked the islander wrestlers like Rikishi and Umaga's back kick more than this move, it seemed to hit much harder.

Sleeper (including variants such as Tazmission/Million Dollar Dream) Million Dollar dream although its essentially a cobra clutch not a sleeper, just the romanticism of it, to be made to dream on about having money like millionaire man. Sleeper- Rowdy Roddy Piper because it worked on Hogan 3 times. Beat that.

Stalling Suplex- Ric Flair. I was always impressed how strong he was for a smaller heavyweight.

Snap Suplex- Dean Malenko. I don't think it was one of his signatures but I have seen him perform a very fast snap suplex. Another Japanese wrestler was a master of this but I can't remember his name unfortunately.

"Cutter" (Diamond Cutter, RKO, etc)- Randy Orton. I like the theatrics he puts into it.

Boston Crab (including variants like the Lion Tamer, Maple Leaf, etc)- Chris Jericho, again the theatrics.

Chokeslam- Paul Wight as "The Giant". The way he used to drop his weight into it.

Punch Combination (basically, who do you feel has the best striking combination)- Hogans 3 punches before the big boot and leg drop. It's the most basic combination of punches ever but the theatrics and electric energy of it. Hogan also has the most powerful looking punches of anyone, they are the most fake but look the most powerful in a theatrical sense and thats what wrestling is all about.

Hurricanrana- Rey Mysterio. Sometimes he can create a slight pause as he drops down because of his height I guess but even so it adds an air of suspense and makes what follows seem more eventful.

Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock The Rock
Figure Four The Miz
Powerbomb Kevin Nash
Piledriver Owen Hart
Moonsault Kurt Angle
Flying Elbow Drop Eric Young
"Superkick" Gentleman Chris Adams
Sleeper Dolph Ziggler
Stalling Suplex Hernandez
Snap Suplex Kelly Kelly
"Cutter" Bully Ray
Boston Crab Joseph Park (he only does it in Boston after all!)
Chokeslam Spike Dudley
Punch Combination Road Dogg
Hurricanrana John Cena

Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock - Bret Hart. He seemed to be the only one who could make you believe he was gonna break his opponents back by leaning into it so much. Stings often looked weak but Bret's was always a work of art.

Figure Four - Flair. Just for all the shit he would often pull while it was locked in (thumb to eyes, hold onto ropes, taunting).

Powerbomb (and variants like gut wrench, double underhook, etc) -Batista. Doing a sitdown powerbomb and driving the opponent to the mat looks much more painful then a free fall.

Piledriver - Lawler. No explanation, shouldn't need one.

Moonsault - Kurt Angle. He got some great hang time and it usually looked good while landing too.

Flying Elbow Drop - Macho Man. There's really no one that compares in my opinion (HBK's isn't bad though).

"Superkick" - HBK. If not him than Yokozuna.

Sleeper (including variants such as Tazmission/Million Dollar Dream) - Not sure. This move is pretty standard but lets go with Ted Dibiase just for the way he would snap the guys head from side to side.

Stalling Suplex - Harly Race but Cody Rhodes takes the cake for the stalling superplex.

Snap Suplex - Dynamite Kid. He always got good leverage and snap on those suplexes.

"Cutter" (Diamond Cutter, RKO, etc) - Orton. I think for the simple fact he jumps and lands with his opponent makes it look better.

Boston Crab (including variants like the Lion Tamer, Maple Leaf, etc) - Jericho. That Lion Tamer was freaking rad.

Chokeslam - I could go with like 10 different big men for this one. Lance Hoyt and Taker gave the best ones I've ever seen (although it wasn't consistent).

Punch Combination (basically, who do you feel has the best striking combination) - Undertaker in the corner or Austin's Lou Thesz Press into punches were my favorite, just because it made me pop every time.

Hurricanrana - Mysterio. Almost always looks great and he hits it from anywhere in the arena.

Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock - Tyson Kidd
Figure Four - Triple H
Powerbomb - Jushin Liger
Piledriver - Mick Foley
Moonsault - Matt Hardy
Flying Elbow Drop - CM Punk
"Superkick" - Del Rio
Sleeper - Roddy Piper
Stalling Suplex - Bulldog
Snap Suplex - Eve Torres
"Cutter" - Homicide
Boston Crab - Lance Storm
Chokeslam The Hurricane
Punch Combination - Bubba Ray
Hurricanrana - Lita

Sharpshooter/deathlock -Brett Hart
Figure four - Ric Flair.
Powerbomb - I have to go with Taker. But I did once see AJ Styles pull off an amazing powerbomb once.
Piledrive- Can I say Owen Hart?
Moonsault- Can't decide
Flying elbow drop- Eric Young and Shane McMahon
Superkick-Shawn Michaels
Sleeper- no pick
Stalling suplex- I agree, Goldberg.
Snap suplex-Benoit
Cutter-DDP's was more innovative but Orton has better execution.
Boston crab- Jericho and Lance Storm.
Chokeslam- Kane
Punching combos- Vader and Road Dogg
Hurricanrana- Mysterio, Juventud, Kidman

Sharpshooter: The Rock

Figure Four: Ric Flair

Powerbomb: Jushin Liger

Piledriver: Paul Orndorff

Moonsault: Big Van Vader

Flying Elbow: Drop: Randy Savage

Superkick: Shawn Michaels

Sleeper: Taz

Stalling Suplex: Goldberg

Snap Suplex: Dynamite Kid

Cutter: Dallas Page

Boston Crab: Chris Jericho

Chokeslam: Big Show

Punch Combination; The Rock

Hurricanrana: Rey Mysterio

The idea that one wrestler could legitimately be better than all the others are performing a sleeper hold is pretty dumb.

I think the way it is applied from a set up through to performance of putting it in and holding it is where they are going. Most of the moves are generic and its about the technique that they apply. I mean a dropkick is a dropkick but people seem to find that they prefer the dropkick of say Orton over that of Dolph Ziggler for an example.
