Who needs to be in the HOF?

Lee

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's Supermod!
Aside from the obvious that are always said (Bruno, Macho, Owen).

The fact that Backlund and the Freebirds are not in there is a joke.

My understanding is that Backlund doesn't want to go in until he's done for good.

Analysing Owen Hart's career, I'm not sure he would be on so many people's list has what happened not happened. Otherwise, I would put Foley in for his whole body of work. I also think Batista is warranted.

I am gong to try to cover all the names in one post..warning.. some might be surprising.

Men:
The Rock, Triple H, Jericho, Eric Bischoff, Jim Cornette, Paul Bearer, Macho Man, Diamond Dallas Page, Jake the Snake, Psycho Sid Viscious, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Rick Rude, Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg, Owen Hart, Lex Luger, Booker T, Scott Stiener, Bruno, Backlund, Larry Zybszko, The Freebirds, Goldust, British Bulldogs, Mick Foley, Vader, Demolition, Ivan Koloff, Nikita Koloff, King Kong Bundy, Honky Tonk Man, Jushin Thunder Liger, Rick Martel, Dr. Death, Ken Patera, Bradshaw (JBL), Kamala, Rock and Roll express, Midnight Express, Wahoo McDaniel, Brian Pillman, Kevin Sullivan, Dick Murdoch, Bam Bam Bigelow, Big Bossman, Mike Rotundo (IRS), Ole Anderson, Adrian Adonis, Ron Garvin, Jimmy Garvin, The One Man Gang, Magnum T.A., The Undertaker, Sting, Haku (Meng), Butch Reed, John Tenta, Eddie Gilbert, Dino Bravo, Sabu, Raven, Tazz, Lance Storm, Hillbilly Jim, Chavo Guerrero Sr, Dean Malenko, New Age Outlaws, Xpac, Tommy Rich, Steve Keirn, Hercules, Jacques Rougeau, Konnan, The Barbarian, Dirty Dick Slater, Teddy Long, Lord Alfred Hayes, Slick, Hardcore Holly, Brian Adams, Robert Fuller, Ultimo Dragon, Jim Brunzell, Buzz Sawyer, Billy Duncan Sr, Larry the Axe Henning, Dutch Mantell, Brad Armstrong, B Brian Blair, Gino Hernandez, Bad News Brown.

Another that belongs on this list above, but isn't (understandably)
Chris Benoit

Celebrity Wing:
Muhammed Ali, Cindy Lauper, Lawrence Taylor, Dennis Rodman, Karl Malone.

Off the wall picks,
(Before anyone argues.. remember the WWE inducted Gorgeous George and Abdullah the Butcher)

Lou Thesz, The Destroyer, Ray Stevens, Carlos Colon, Stan Hansen, Giant Baba, The Crusher, Dick the Bruiser, Brusier Brody, Haystacks Calhoun, Gene Kiniski, Stan Stasiak, Pat O'Connor, Johnny Valentine, Jumbo Tsuruta (won all of all Japan titles), Jackie Fargo, Mitsuharu Misawa, Billy Robinson, Tiger Mask, The Great Muta, Masa Chono, Dos Caras, Archie Gouldie, Hiro Matsuta, Austin Idol, Nobuhiko Takada, The Fantastics, Thunderbolt Patterson, Billy Jack Haynes, Ox Baker, Jose Lothario, “Iceman” King Parsons, The moon dogs, Mike Sharpe.

Jobbers: That helped many get to the next level.
Steve Lombardi, Barry Horowitz,

I think there is a certain Warrior who Ultimately deserves to be in there. Probably will never happen for a bunch of reasons, but the argument can be made that he should be there.

Basically everyone who was ever active for more than five years and whose name you can remember - but not Lou Thesz.

They should induct God as a tag team with Shawn Michaels!

Well I think many named previously like Owen, Savage, Rude, Foley, The Rock, Larry "The Axe Hennig, etc. all deserve to be in.

I've been waiting for years for Leslie Neilson to go into the Celebritiy Wing. Besides Ali (& maybe Tyson) Nielson was my favorite appearence of a celebrity for WWE.

I also think they should induct alot more factions/stables. The Freebirds are a great choice. I think D-Generation X will go in sooner rather than later. I would like to see the Hart Foundation get inducted. Maybe even the Nation of Domination.

Otherwise the people that 'Chrome' stated for the most part seems like a solid bunch.

Also IMO WWE will never induct Benoit.

the clearly obvious 4 are:

Bruno Sammartino, Bob Backlund, Randy Savage and Ultimate Warrior. Unitl those four are inducted, the HOF is a joke.

Following from this glaring omissions, I believe the following are long overdue:
Jake the Snake Roberts
Rick Martel
Demolition
Rick Rude
British Bulldogs
Elizabeth
Steve Lombardi
King Kong Bundy

Hey looks guys...Backlund.

From what I hear, Toots Mondt was pretty instrumental in getting WWWF away from the NWA, and molding Sammartino into the force that would take them out of the NWA and Jim Crockett's shadow. But my knowledge of that is pretty much based on other people's opinions that I've overheard.

Fabulous Freebirds are an obvious pick for me. I'd rather see them go in as a stable before Degeneration-X. Not that DX doesn't deserve it - at least in some incarnation of the faction - but the Freebirds were around shaking things up before Hunter and Shawn stepped between the ropes.

This might be a decent year to put in Trish Stratus and/or Lita. Would be nice to see them go into in the same year. With Lita appearing on WWE TV a few times in 2012, and apparently on great terms with everybody, it's probably more likely now than ever before. I'm sure it will happen some day though, so I'm not terribly worried.

Davey Boy?

I'm going to throw a name out there, just because the HOF is from MSG this year: Tommy Dreamer?

Kurt Angle. Sting. Undertaker. Maven. Triple H. Kane. Big Show. John Layfield.

My ideal 2013 class would be:
-Mick Foley
-Bob Backlund
-The Fabulous Freebirds
-Tommy Dreamer
-Lita
-John "Bradshaw" Layfield
