Who Is TNA's Mr. P-P-V?

NSL

Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
When Vince, and the boys up north have a big PPV to sell, he can turn to guys like Undertaker, HBK, and Jericho, and know they will put butts in the seats, and steal the show. When WCW needed a big match, they had Goldberg and DDP for the same thing. ECW had RVD, among others, and all three knew when to pull the trigger by putting them in the main event at their respective big shows.

Who is TNA's "go to guy"? Is it AJ Styles? The IWC adores him, and he shows up for every match, whether it's a squash on Impact, or a PPV classic with Sting. Is it Samoa Joe? He gets flack for the weight gain, but no one can deny his match with Lashley was a contender for MOTN until the end. Maybe it's Kurt Angle. His match with Morgan showcased both their talents, and was well received among the fans.

All three of these guys have main evented PPVs for TNA, and all three have been in mid-card matches that tore the place down. I have to go with AJ Styles though. He's universally loved, and it's almost impossible to find a bad match of his. He's the face of the company, and delivers every month.

It would have to be both AJ and Joe - they are two guys that TNA can truly trust to tear the house down if the remainder of the card isn't performing to their standards. Any match with Joe and AJ can salvage the night.

So yeah Joe and AJ

Just My Opinion

I can give you a bad AJ Styles match. Just look up his "MMA fight" with Frank Trigg. It wasn't either of their faults. TNA booking just thought that putting the most exciting wrestler in the world in a fake MMA fight was a good idea. Y'know, because they're fucking idiots.

Otherwise, yeah, AJ Styles. You need a match or a card livening up, just throw AJ Styles in. Do you have any idea how boring the yearly King of the Mountain and Lethal Lockdown matches would be without him in it, bumping his ass off?

Sam makes a great point. And TNA has tended to book AJ to do just that. Lethal Lockdown is typified by the big bumps that he has taken over the years. The LL tag match at No Surrender was boring for the fact that no big bumps were taken.

And King of the Mountain is the same. The concept is lame but a ladder match featuring someone with the ability of AJ.

I'd go Angle, especially before he lost like 100 pounds of muscle. He's known by a lot fof people as an "American Hero" and can definetly attract a lot of viewers. Plus, he's not half bad in the ring.

I'd have AJ at #2, he's not know by as many people, but is the best performer and has the WOW factor and is just fun as hell to watch in almost every match he's in, even agianst pieces of crap like Shane Douglas.

Sting would be next, he's the biggest star they've got and is still decent in the ring.

I guess #4 would be Joe, he was good at some point, right?

#500 would be Jarrett.

It would definitely be between AJ Styles and Angle. I would have to go with AJ since he has been with the company the longest and has always had 5 star PPV matches. Except for that MMA match that was brought up earlier, AJ has been the go to go for every PPV. Next to AJ and Angle I would put the rest of the X Division as a worthy Mr.PPV candidate if that makes sense.

The reason is because usually if there is an Ultimate X or Six Sides of Steel match with the X Division, it is always the match of the night. In my opinion it is anyways. I know some people aren't huge fans and call the X Division matches huge spot fest. It may be true but where else are you going to see action like that. TNA has a lot of great talent so its hard to name one man but I have to go with AJ Styles. I'm looking forward to a rematch between AJ and Angle again. Just imagine that match at a PPV.

Is it AJ Styles? The IWC adores him, and he shows up for every match, whether it's a squash on Impact, or a PPV classic with Sting.

I say it's AJ, if only for the reasons stated above...the guy fights in crappy "MMA" bouts, gets his ass kicked repeatedly by a mystery attacker and two title contenders pretty much every week, almost jobbed to Angle in a MOTY candidate on Impact just a few nights before having a classic with Sting at Bound For Glory...

The list of 5 star matches can go on and on here. The guy takes anything he is involved with and turns it into pure gold. Too bad there wasn't a poll up, for I think he would be running away with the vote...

Aj Styles is definately a top canidate. But couldnt Abyss or Matt Morgan be put into the categlory. No doubt that the stories for Abyss have been put together much better than Kane will ever get in WWE. And his hardcore matches are awesome. And morgan has the potential to be at the top. I like the guy. i like his wrestling. i like his gimmick. But when you lose ppv left and right, man are they messing up. Aj Styles is definately the better choice of any currently in TNA but I put Morgan in a close second and Abyss in third.

I actually say it's Daniels.

The guy performs like no other during PPV's, with A.J. coming in at a close second, IMO.

Daniels hits some of the biggest and most dangerous spots at PPV's (just watch the triple threat again from last month), and no matter if he's on the opening card or the main event, he brings it – period.

I think TNA’s Mr. PPV or Mr. TNA for that matter is a three way tie between the TNA Grand Slam Champion and the two TNA Triple Crown Champions, A. J. Styles, Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe. One, two, or even all three have headlined TNA PPV after TNA PPV and continue to do so. They are like the "Raw 3" of Cena, Triple H, and Orton. They are like the "Smackdown 3" of Undertaker, Batista, and Edge. They are like the "ECW 3" of Christian, Regal, and Tatsu. I don’t know about any of you, but if I had to pick one of these sets of three Superstars to run a Wrestling promotion, I’d go with Team TNA.
