Who is the most popular ever, Hogan, Austin or The Rock?

its not even arguable. The most popular man in wrestling history is Hulk Hogan. He is the MOST recognizable wrestler the world has ever known. People who have NO idea about wrestling know who Hogan is. I guarantee there are still a few people who dont know SCSA or the Rock ( altho that hard bc he makes movies)

Now of the 3, i like the rock the most. I hate hogan but i cant take anything away from him

hi.. i think for me stone cold steve austin is the most popular and the best in every way as i know about wrestling because of stone cold steve austin not because of hulk hogan or the rock.. the reason i love wrestling is because of austin 316 and i know you wont believe me but i came to know of hulk hogan after stone cold steve austin.. and about the rock i respect him and i think he is far better than hulk hogan but he is not and wont be better than stone cold steve austin and no wrestler will ever beat Austin 3:16.. and i think it is very unfair that we ignore bret hit man hart when we compare austin, hogan and the rock because according to me bret hit man hart was better than the rock and hogan and he is my 2nd favourite wrestler.. if the rock and hogan were more hyped than bret it doesnt make them better and more popular so i think bret hit man hart should have been included in the poll.. and when we are talking about popularity even undertaker is not less.. he is as popular as austin, bret, rock, and hogan if not more..

Hogan in a landslide. Hulk Hogan became a household name, so much so that he is still probably the first wrestler non-fans would think of. The Rock has become a household name as well, but now it is moreso for his film career. Hogan has always been a wrestler first, even when trying to become an actor. To most people, Hogan will always be the face of pro wrestling, not Austin, not Rock.

I think it is pretty obvious that alot of the Austin and Rock votes were not actually around to see Hogan in the 80's. For those who were not, it was unreal.

I'd go with the Rock! If you go to the streets and ask a random person whos not a wrestling fan, "Do you know Stone Cold Steve Austin or Hulk Hogan?" For Austin they'll probably say NO! and for Hogan some yes'es 'coz of his lil reality t.v stint...
But if you ask the person, "Do you know The Rock!?" They'll most likely about 8/10 times say HELL YEAH! 'Coz think about it The Rock is a MAJOR pop culture icon! He's stared in hit movies such as: Get Smart, The Scorpion King, and Game Plan! And made appearences on hit t.v shows! So generally the Rock's more popular! Add up his wrestling fans and non wrestling fans WOOW more fans than Austin and Hogan for sure!

You can't based this off money because Hogan wrestle in his prime in the 80's when wrestlers were still getting raped of money. If that was the case Cena will surpass all of them in 3 years because he already at number 4 ALL TIME. And Cena is not on their level.

I'm going to put it in simple terms, Hogan was the biggest draw from 83-97,2002 YES AM GIVING HIM THAT YEAR. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Austin was the biggest draw from 98-99,2001. Rock was the biggest in 2000.

Hogan is always on someone list. Hogan is on the top 100 most popular people list of all time. EVER, Oprah was number 1 on that list btw.

Y cause he is the best..... its very simple to process the man made the WWE then he Made WCW all over again once he arrived..

He is the most popular and if u dont see that u r blind...... The guy who started this post mentioned wrestlemania 18.... Fact is you cant ignore that... a guy who is suppose to be the hell comes out and gets the baby face booed out of the building... and he gets cheered.... wrestling will always be Hogan country..... even if he has all his problems right now... the second he steps back into that ring everyone will be on there feet.......

U can say the same for austin and the Rock.... but to be honest they will never get the same cheers as the immortal one himself

Hogan is without a doubt. Even without a great work rate, he hand crowd eating out of the palm of his hands! Plus, he transcended wrestling!

To me, Austin and The Rock are tied at the number 2 spot as far as my favorites are concerned and Hogan is tied with Flair at the 5 spot, but popularity wise, no one beats Hulk Hogan. I’ve explained this in so many threads that people around here are going to start thinking I’m the president of the Hulk Hogan Fan Club, but the fact of the matter is, we’re talking about the real Triple H, Hollywood Hulk Hogan. He paved the way, blah, blah, blah, and all that and his name is still synonymous with World Wrestling Champion, regardless of what his doing and where he’s doing it. He brought Pro Wrestling to the mainstream among other things. He was, in most people’s opinions, the Greatest Face and Greatest Heel in history. What else can you say about the “Man”??
