Who Has You Excited About The Future Of The WWE?

Low_Ki

This, like many other topics has probably been done before, but the landscape of the WWE is forever changing and so I figured I would pose this question.

Who on the payroll, male or female has you excited about the companies future and why?

For me, it would have to be Bayley. That age old term 'white meat babyface' got torn up during the late 90's as the dynamic changed. There haven't been many of these since. Cena was/is one depending on your stance. Sami Zayn is a definite. But for me, Bayley rules that roost.

She may not be on the main roster as yet, but when she does the fanbase will be there for her. She hugs, has inflatable colourful arm waving men, she is everything good about a babyface and she pulls it off effortlessly. I'm not sure about the women's division going forward, but she is someone who I am very much looking forward to seeing on RAW week in and out. And for the first time since Lita, I feel emotionally invested in a woman's wrestler.

Sasha Banks and Kevin Owens. They both "get wrestling". Both great characters, great wrestlers, great talkers, and great overall performers.

Bayley - Her immense popularity is truly something else, as the only performer in NXT that can touch her is Finn Balor. In an era where fans have become so cynical, it's refreshing to have a character that so pure in goodness and that people are universally behind, especially for young girls. She's like the female Ricky Steamboat or Surfer Sting, and could easily be a big star on the main roster with the right booking – though that last part is what terrifies me.

Finn Balor - Evidenced by my signature, I'm a big fan. Outside of Bayley, he's my favorite performer to watch in NXT. The Demon entrance alone guarantees that Finn will be a big attraction on the main roster with is quality in-ring ability as an added bonus. The much-speculated Balor Club could also make a huge splash if it happens.

American Alphas - These guys are probably my favorite team in the company, alongside Enzo & Cass. Jordan/Gable work great together and watching them totally dismantle other teams is just pure fun to watch. They could seriously tear up the main roster tag division, and Gable in particular has fantastic charisma that could take him far as a singles guy.

AJ Styles - I've been a fan of AJ for years. The guy is a flat out joy to watch in the ring. His combination of talent, experience, and popularity would provide WWE's main event scene with a much-needed shot in the arm.

Bray Wyatt/Wyatt Family - When Creative finally wakes up and decides to book these guys as legitimate terrors that are tough to beat and can manipulate anyone, they could be the most dominate and unique attraction in the entire company. Even after the atrocity at Fastlane, I still hold out hope for this to happen.

Dean Ambrose - It's been a long time since we've had a rebellious/anarchic face in the main event and Dean Ambrose nails that. He's a very good talker, has good presence and there's something appealing about his general scrappiness. He's also one of the few guys on the main roster that is universally well-liked and it's going to be huge when they finally decide to pull the trigger on him.

Kevin Owens - The best heel in the company IMO. KO goes out of his way to be a unlikable shithead, doesn't try to get cheers or be cool, and seems to know exactly when to be a coward and when to be intimidating. He's also very solid in the ring. A future top heel for sure.

Alot of folks have me excited about the future. My boy,the prize fighter KO Mania for one thing, yes he might be on the chunkier side but he's got everything you want in a wrestler. Arrogance,a great talker on the mic,a great wrestler, fantastic finisher.

Finn Balor is another one. I like his style and he is very fluid in the ring. AJ Styles we all know what he brings to the table. Sasha Banks, very talented Diva she is the Boss and just downright beautiful and a great wrestler. I could go on and on.

Being Lazy, so I'm just going to quote Sean. Also to a few more:

Apollo Crews - I can easily see him as a future main eventer and WWE World heavyweight champion. He's a likable guy and won't have any issues getting over. But that's in at least another 3 years before he should even be called up. Teach him what he needs to learn, no need to rush and possibly fail for rushing him.

Samoa Joe - Basically for the same reason as AJ. And I see him being a good foil for Roman Reigns.

Seth Rollins - For obvious reasons. I still feel like Rollins will replace Reigns as the "face" of wwe at some point if he(and wwe) wants it.

Roman Reigns - might not be a popular pick but him and Rollins are my top two favorites and want to see both succeed. Though wouldn't mind him succeeding a little less.

As I mentioned earlier i'm lazy (and sleepy) so I will just list the rest:
Tyler Breeze, Enzo&Cass, Neville, New Day, Becky, Sasha, Naomi, Luke Harper, Cody Rhodes, Blake/murphy/Bliss
non-wrestlers- Cory Graves, JoJo, and Mauro Ranallo

As you can see the talent isn't what worries me about the future, its wwe and its (storyline)creativity or lack there of.

Finn Balor. The man is unbelievable....and I believe when Vince McMahon gives up the profession......in 30 or 40 years..... the era of the behemoth in pro wrestling will be over.

Not to worry, there will always be some big guys around; I believe people are impressed with size, but immobile giants like Big Show won't gain entry to any major wrestling companies. If they can move well around the ring, there will be a limited few, yet the smaller guys will run rings around them, making for a more exciting product.

Instead, the floor will be open to guys like Balor and Neville.

As for the women, the move to gals who can actually wrestle has already happened, as witnessed by the fact we no longer have people like Tori Wilson, Stacy Kiebler and Sable masquerading as pro wrestlers. I vastly prefer the divas in there now.

A lot of people have listed the guys and divas I'd pick. So I'll give you my wildcard picks:

Emma - I love the way she's reinvented herself. Actually my favourite diva other than Sasha Banks right now. I could do without Dana Brooke as she's quite irritating and in my eyes is holding Emma back. But they do have this certain Beautiful People appeal to them. So that works.

Shinsuke Nakamura - What else to say other than the best pro wrestler in the world today.

Alexa Bliss and Blake & Murphy - These three really remind me of Trish and Edge and Christian. Alexa is brilliant on the mic and I love her finisher, think it's called Sparkle
Splash or something. The boys are very good in the ring. Good future solid midcarders.

Kevin Owens - He is fantastic in the ring and on the mic. He is a natural heel and has plenty of charisma.

Dean Ambrose - He's one of the most over wrestlers in WWE and has a great character.

Seth Rollins - Another great heel who is also great in the ring. He can be a great face as well.

Bray Wyatt - He has the best gimmick in WWE today and best mic skills.

Roman Reigns - He has a great look and has definitely improved over the last year.
