Out of the dozens of young heels in the WWE, which one do you think should turn face and would really get over as a face?

My pick is David Otunga. We need more faces who can tear people up on the mic and Otunga does have potential on the mic. Plus I think he could really get over as a face and due to his background, can bring the WWE a lot of publicity.

The one name on the list that's absolutely screaming to turn face is Justin Gabriel. He really doesn't fit as a heel at all, this Nexus/Corre stint is just to get him established and set up a face turn.

The other names on the list that could turn are Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus. Dolph is the best seller currently in WWE, an important face skill. And being with Vickie, a turn couldn't be easier. Sheamus is another one that I feel like the crowds really want to cheer. The only problem is that Sheamus seems to work best with smaller wrestlers, as a face he'd feud with mostly bigger heels.

Dark horse: Cody Rhodes, if this american psycho gimmick gets over, could make for an interesting tweener face.

Zach Ryder should definatly turn face. No one has ever really taken him seriously as a heel since ECW closed and his character is just goofy enough for people to get behind. I think he would make an excellent upper mid card face.

Good topic man, I've been thinking about this one myself for a while...

I picked Zack Ryder because after seeing his YouTube videos and knowing the personality that he has, I think he could make a face run work. I would hope he wouldn't be just a comic face a la Santino, but he could certainly provide some comedic moments and insult some heels rather well, kinda like Edge or Christian. He's fairly flashy in the ring and I think that works better with a face persona.

I also feel some others on the list would work. Dibiase would probably be my second pick with Gabriel right behind him. Ted's heel run has been basically nothing and when he was teasing turning on Randy the crowd was behind him. I think he needs to drop the Fortunate Son gimmick completely and be himself. It would work better for him. Gabriel is a high flyer and I've always thought that they will mostly work better as a face. He's pretty skilled in the ring and has a lot of upside, but as a heel not much of that is shown.

I went for Swagger, i feel as a heel he has just struggled to get any legitimate heat, but then on monday he showed an intensity that could really get him over in a way that could turn him into a true star and give him the potential to have a really good run as WHC. With Cole as his manager he has been overshadowed, with Good Ole JR i think he could shine. We all know hes not the greatest on the mic, but with JR doing the heavy lifting on the mic and him adding bits here and there i feel that could be a winning combination. He almost reminded me of Benoit with the way he just looked so intense without actually saying anything, so they could go down that route to get him over just using his Wrestling skills.

Drew McIntyre.

Why are all the young foreign stars heels anyway? Barrett, Sheamus, Mason Ryan, and McIntyre are all heels. Out of that bunch, I see Sheamus and McIntyre teaming up just so Sheamus can eventually turn on McIntyre and set him up as a huge face.

Think about it....he has the pretty boy look, a mean streak, wildly talented, and when WWE tours the UK/Ireland areas they can have their own hero to root for. Everything about that guy screams WWE Championship......notice how I didn't say World Title.

McIntyre is my pick!!
I'm saying that for months now! He could become a great face!!
He's getting buried a lot, jobbing to every face, even Barreta has a win!!

I was expecting that when he was with Kelly Kelly, and some people at EC cheered for him!!
He could be a really great face and he can tell a story in the ring, maybe not in the mic, but definetely in the ring!!

In Elimination Chamber we saw that he really wanted to make part of that fight, we understood who he is, just for doing it!! The guy smells WWE/World Champiosnhip material, i just dont see why he is right now the lowest mid-card of SD! Roster :X

I also like Cody Rhodes, Barret and Otunga!!^They can do it, but my pick goes to Drew!!

I picked Gabriel...he has the baby face a babyface needs, he has the high-flying moves that favor a face, now he has a possible rebellion against Wade Barrett. It's so tough to get over as a face these days, you really need the crowd to support you, I'm not sure they are ready to support Barrett or Seamus turning right now. Swagger might be able to after this Cole thing is over, though I see disaster coming in that match...King thought it would be a good idea to put JR in a match??? Anyway, I see Gabriel going face before the rest.

Here's a shot from left field....Michael Mcguillicutty

and here's the scenario,
Recently Doplh Ziggler showed off a new shirt..I AM PERFECTION
and not too long ago someone here suggested he could marketed as the new "Mr. Perfect"
Even coming out to Curt's music,
This could infuriate Mikey to no end, come out for a beatdown,WITH NO NEXUS!!
Then ripoff a MONSTER promo talking about family/tradition...almost to the point of it coming off as a damn near shoot.

He could to up the ante so to say...even drop the name he is using now and use his real name,,FIRST AND LAST!!
And after a long feud, use dad's move to win the match..A PERFECTPLEX!!
But onyl after Doplh uses it in the way Curt used to,announcing first:
AND NOW YOU'RE GONNA SEE A PERFECTPLEX!!

NOt too far fetched, probably had already been considered I would think.

I agree with that. Swagger and JR are both from Oklahoma. The crowd is always behind JR and he might just be able to get them behind Swagger. However it seems odd to think of JR as a manager and not a commentator. I would always end up wanting JR at the desk instead of in Swagger's corner. I would also have to say that Zack Ryder should turn face but he shouldn't become a Santino-like character. Ryder should be able to have serious matches while throwing in some comedy and making fun of the heels. I actually thing that Zack Ryder could have a show, much like The Peep Show, Cutting Edge, Highlight Reel, Carlito's Cabana, etc.

Ok, Some of these names I hope will never go face as long as they keep their gimmick fresh. The Miz is the company's top heel right now, and he's as hot as Orton was as a heel two and a half years ago. He's perfectly selling himself as the future, and he's turned himself from what we all saw as a doomed career into pure gold inside and outside the ring.

Drew McIntire could very well get over as a face, and I do think that his gimmick is beginning to grow stale. I'm not feeling him as well as I was during his feud with Teddy Long about a year ago.

Wade Barret needs a turn sometime, but not until the Corre is disbanded and all the fallout is over. Once he becomes a worker on his own, without a stable, I think they should turn him. The Corre is too necessary right now with the lack of main event talent. We need the threat since Edge is now gone and Triple H and Taker will probably be out for awhile.

Sheamus, Del Rio, Rhodes, just no. They working as heels right now, and two of which are needed for the main event picture. Rhodes's disfigured gimmick is actually starting to work for me. I didn't like it at first, because the setup didn't work for me, but Mania kinda won me over on it.

Ziggler, it could work, but I don't want it to. I could easily see him hitting the Zigzag on Vickie and walking away a face, but I want him to stay a heel just long enough to throw himself in the main event.

My vote is for Swagger. The All American American as a heel is stale as hell right now. Its been stale for the last year, and a face turn would be gold. Jack Swagger vs. Miz in a few months would be a great upper mid-card match, because, lets face it, we all know Cena will end up with the title within the next month.

The other names on the list that could turn are Dolph Ziggler and Sheamus. Dolph is the best seller currently in WWE, an important face skill. And being with Vickie, a turn couldn't be easier.

I chose Ziggler.. he really is not a great heel solo. and I tend to disagree, all it takes is one good turn on Vickie to turn face. Shes the biggest heel in the company. I just fear if he did it would be done right so he doesn't get forgotten

Well for a while I would have said Barret, but that was when CM Punk first took over the Nexus but they have already moved to far for that one to work. I kind of feel that Ziggler could pull it off if he gets rid of Vikie but then after that he has nothing and his character is better played as a heel. I think if I really had to choose it would be Ted Debiase Jr but even then I dont see him gaining all to much steam. Not to many of todays wrestlers know how to get over with the crowd so they are just made into heels.

I have to say Zack Ryder. After watching his youtube videos, I can see him being a top face on Smackdown, sort of like Edge and Christian now. He clearly has the charisma and in ring skills to be an awesome face. I would also like to see Gabriel turn face too.

Gabriel is a given. No matter how hard he might try and act like a heel you know he is a cool guy in real life. That guy should not be a heel.

I'd also like to add Ezekiel Jackson to that list. That's a guy the WWE would get behind faster then 90% of the people on that poll and everyone on this board knows that's true. I'm not homosexual but similar to Gabriel, Jackson is a good looking guy with a nice smile. He has a better look then Lashley and I can see him easily moving into a similar spot. He is also one of the few people who could pull off flexing in the middle of the ring without looking like a douchebag.

Cool thread, man! I also think Swagger. He could change his outfit to the American Flag, perhaps. Maybe give him some arm candy (Kelly Kelly, anybody?) or a face manager (Lawler?).

It's old, but Del Rio/ Barrett/ Sheamus could diss the States and in comes ol' tall, blonde and tricoloured to save the day, yay!

A bit off topic, but how about a Michael Cole face turn? His insides would erupt and we'd be rid of him...

after monday night i'm a believer in Swagger turning face. someone in an earlier post made me think about it and it makes sense. Now he can't stay heel and be credible after Cole slapped him like his name wasVirgil

Nobody spoke about The Miz!!
He will eventually turn face, if you have ever saw his appearances on TV Shows like Conan O'Brian, you know that he is a funny dude and that he really loves the WWE and everything about entertainment!

It's hard to make him a legit face right now, but a kayfabe injury at some point could do wonders for him!
I would love to see The Miz as a face, all his work so far since Miz-Show has been pure gold, so he could and he will be an AWESOME face!

The Miz came to play folks!
I just hope that he can be in the Main-Event now for years!! I could even see him being WWE Champion for a year, i would dig that!! :D

But lets get this straight, Jack Swagger will be turned to face, and he will be good and i am almost sure of it that he will be in the main event status again later in that year!!

All hail Miz and Swagger - The Future FACES of WWE :D

That is the best idea I've heard in ages, that would completely put him on the map while at the same time establishing Dolph Ziggler as the the perfect package and total arrogant prick.

At the same time it would give McGillicutty a way to lose that ridiculous name and actually get himself somewhere. Let's face it, he has no face being lost in Nexus.

My vote is for Gabriel for obvious reasons. His move set and maneurisms are that of a face and he looks out of place as a heel. Not to say he hasn't done a good job, but I really think a face turn would be great for him. I believe he would get that old RVD pop. Especially the way he can fly through the air and mix it up on the mat.
I like the Swagger vote as well. He's a great wrestler and he's ok on the mic even with that lisp he has going on. If he can get out of his own way and unswell his head a little bit I think he's got a chance to be great.
