Which WWE superstar should have a WWE PPV named after them?

CM Steel

A REAL American
At the beginning of the infamous attitude era D Generation-X had their own WWF/E pay per-view named after them with Shawn Michaels headlining the event as the WWF/E champion. A year later the Rock was WWF/E champion having a PPV dubbed after him titled Rock Bottom. Now if the WWE brought back that concept in today's WWE who would have a WWE PPV named after them? I can see John Cena of course having his own WWE PPV entitled "Attitude Adjustment". He of course would be the headliner or be the authority figure of the night or something else different.

Or even current WWE champion Brock Lesner could have something named after him like "BrockBuster" or "Here comes the Pain"? Randy Orton: "Snake Pit"? He was the Authorities main man last year.

What do you think? Which WWE superstar should have a WWE PPV named after them?

No one. A pay per view should never be built around just one superstar/faction. It instantly takes away from the under card.

Also, if the superstar/s in question were in a title match, who would expect them to lose a title in their own ppv? There would be little suspense, people wouldn't buy into it.

Austin kind of had a PPV named after him too "A Cold day in Hell". As for today, I'm not sure who could have a PPV named after them.

No one. If the In Your House PPV's were still around, maybe then it could work. Plus these types of PPV's usually turn out shit - nWo Souled Out, D-Generation X, Rock Bottom.

The person closest though would be Seth Rollins after he wins the WWE World Title. Similar to The Rock in 98, it would fit his character as the corporate champion if The Authority dedicated an event to him. Instead of a PPV, maybe they could just have a Smackdown special and rename the episode, "SethDown" :icon_lol:

Or they could just go with "Monday Night Raw starring Brock Lesnar" :p

I agree. Only if the In Your Houses were still around would it be ok, just to keep it from getting too redundant. The subtitles like "In Your House: Beware of Dog" (when Davey Boy Smith challenged Shawn Michaels....I remember when even WrestleMania and SummerSlam got subtitles (which I hated), X-Raided and Hart & Soul, respectively.

For the sake of answering the question though, here are some I came up with.

Hell in a Cell: Follow the Buzzards (Bray Wyatt)
Extreme Rules: Against All Authority (The Authority, duh)
Payback: Viper's Venom (Randy Orton)
Battleground: Roman Empire (Roman Reigns)
