Where Do You Live?

I live in Leek in Stoke-on-Trent. Although it's nowhere near the actual city of Stoke. It's an ok place to live. It's old fashioned looking. It's the sort of place where the locals look at you like shit if you go in their pubs. It's not that big, so everyone knows who everyone else is. I also suspect a little inbreeding. I WAS NOT BORN HERE.

drleek.jpg

This street is the main shopping area. It's about 5 minutes from my house. Why people bother walking down there I have no idea. There's a Woolies and about 10 bookies. Oh and an adult entertainment shop.

rlake.jpg

About 1m down the road from my house. I've never been here. FACT.

tuleek.jpg

Pretty much all the buildings in the main town look like this. It's not to preserve the authentic look of the town. It's because the locals don't like change.

It's amazing how little there is on my town on the internet.

las_vegas_map.JPG

I live in Paradise,NV which is an unincorporated Las Vegas, Nevada suburb, which is very close to Las Vegas,NV & Henderson,NV a Suburb of Las Vegas It's very close to all the hotels/casinos in the strip, it's also very close to the airport

w-vegas-strip.jpg

Las Vegas BLVD or Strip Its about 5-10 minutes from where I live depending on traffic There's always a lot of tourists in the strip but there's more at night

parislv0011.JPG

Entrance to the restaurant of where I work, the entrance to the restaurant is in Las Vegas Blvd

paris6.jpg

Patio, most people want to eat outside in the patio so they can watch the water show of the Bellagio fountains because the restaurant is directly across from the Bellagio & also because right now the weather is nice & warm

map_from_toronto.jpg

I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I live a good 20 minutes away from downtown. I can perfectly see the CN Tower from my balcony. I live in a peaceful neighbourhood, that I wouldn't call the suburbs, but close to it. I was born in Toronto, and have lived here my entire life.

photo_lg_toronto.jpg

Here is a picture of the downtown. Like I said earlier is roughly 20-30 minutes away from my home. I really like the downtown, but I rarely go. I've never actually been in the CN Tower, which is pretty common for any local in any city.

t3.jpg

Here is a photo of the Air Canada Centre. This is the arena that hosted WrestleMania X8 (unfortunately, I did not attend). This arena also hosted Unforgiven 2006, which I did go to. The home teams are Toronto Maple Leafs (for NHL), and Toronto Raptors (for NBA). Last week I went to a Raptors game in this arena (we won 127-110).

i live about 3 miles from Pryor, Oklahoma, which some people might consider small, but I like it. In town, we have a pool hall which rarely sees any business, so I don't know how in the world it stays in business. We got a rec center about a year or two ago, which kind of is the main hangout in our town.
We have 4 elemtary schools, which are named after famous presidents like Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt, and Jefferson.
Probably, the most proud thing to us is that Pryor host Rocklahoma and Country Feve every year, which brings people from around the world here. Its actually pretty great and hilarious to see all these drunk people in one place at one time. After the first Rocklahoma, i saw a picture on our front page of our newspaper that showed a band playing and a woman flashing the crowd.
It was hilarious.

So, this'll be fun. I live in Hull, or Kingston Upon Hull as it's officially know. Weird that, you'd have thought the city would be called Kingston. Hull is generally know as being a shithole, and in most places it is. Here's a map:

EnglandHull.png

Very tiny, or so it looks, that's just because Hull has it's own council. It's the worst in the UK, fact.

We also have Europe's biggest council estate, lucky us. Here's a picture of it:

Yeah, I had to take the picture out. Four image rule and all that jazz.

So, nice picture of Hull huh? We have some good stuff here as well though, for instance, we have four ASDA's. I actually live near one, in fact, the street opposite. We also have like one of the country's lasgest Tescos, which I think is a waste of space, I mean, it's the city centre, in a shopping complex aimed at tourists. Who the hell is going to come to Hull to visit Tescos? No one, that's who. It should have been an IKEA, everyone loves IKEA.

We have the world's lasgest submarium, The Deep. It's called a submarium so we can claim to have the first, that's the only difference I've seen in this and an aquarium. Well, this is triangle as well. Have a picture:

the_deep_350x240.jpg

Speaking of landmarks, our most famous is the Humber Bridge, but it's not actually in Hull, so I'm not going to post a picture. Just Google it.

Arena-wise, we have Hull arena, apparently WWE hosted a show there a few years, I failed to notice it. Don;t know why they would like, it holds 2000 people but somehow it's managed to get on the national arena loop, that's why we get awesome band like Kings Of Leon performing here. Take a look at it:

HArink.jpg

We also have the KC Stadium, which is just an awesome venue for sports. It also has concerts there, but they don't sell out. Then again, who the hell would expect 25,000 people to see Simply Red?

I like this thread alot I live in Madison Wisconsin at one point it was considered the best place to live in America, it was also the top college sports town in america and the Univertsoty of Wisconsin is still considered the number 1 party school in the country......yes were really raw

Madisons a pretty big city and is growing alot yet the problem is it cant expand seeing as how the downtown is on an isthmus and has nowhere to go. Ive lived here my whole life and never really want to leave because its great here

heres the skyline it seems to be pretty cool with Monona Terrace and all
capitol.jpg

theres plenty to do in Madison weve got a great college sports team the Wisconsin Badgers who are always placing highly in every sport

here are some of the facilities the two arenas in Madison are...

the Kohl Center where the Badgers play Basketball and Hockey but no wrestling shows ever come to because its a university building and they want nothing to do with the WWE
kohl-portfolio-2.png

and we have the coliseum which gets the concerts and wrestling shows which really doesnt make sense seeing as how its kind of a shitty arena
800px-AlliantEnergyCenter-GirlsBball.jpg

and the best place to go to a game in Madison is Camp Randall Stadium where the Badger play football this place is legendary and considered one of the best stadiums in the country and if the Olypics would have come to chicago a whole bunch of events would be there because they didnt want to build another 75,000 plus seat stadium and Camp Randall holds about 85,000 so it would be perfect

overall just a quality place to live

I live in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. It was voted as one of the top 5 most livable cities in America. Its because of their hospitals. Pittsburgh has a storied tradition with all their sports teams.

I lived here all my life, I love it here. Its a pretty big city.

got some pics of the city

pittsburgh.jpg

we are home to a very beautiful baseball park

pnc-park-view.jpg

football field is pretty shitty

heinz-field-home-of-the.jpg

anyways Pittsburgh is a great city to live in. it has everything. good colleges, great hospitals, great parks, and soon to be a new arena for the pens, old ones in pretty decent shape but is like 40 years old

I live in ye 'ole town of Rochester, NH. We boast the second highest crime rate in the state. We have three places open 24 hours: Cumberland Farms, Walgreens, and Dunkin' Donuts(which employs me). The sad thing is that all 3 are on the same corner. Our town is most famous for the recent hostage crisis at the Hilary Clinton campaign office. Also, the high school from 13 going on 30 was based on our high school.
