When You Watch WWE Programming, Who's The One Guy You Can't Miss?

1) The Miz & Alex Riley - He's the best thing going in the WWE right now, and Riley's going to be a major player sooner than later.

2) Michael Cole - I've always liked Cole more than the average person, but now, he's 20x better. I love his douchebag character. Every time the Raw GM noise plays, I smile in anticipation of the "and I quote" heat lol

3) Dolph Ziggler - This guy's been on fucking FIRE for months.

4) Randy Orton - I'm enjoying him much more as a face than I was for a long time when he was a heel.

5) John Morrison - Always been a fan of the guy and he rarely disappoints with his matches. His promos on the other hand....lol...but whenever he has a match, I make sure not to skip anything, in comparison to say, the divas, where I make sure to fast forward through every last bit lol.

I can't miss 2 guys... John Morrison and Daniel Bryan!!

JoMo - I just love his in-ring work, he always entertains me in the ring, and whether he wins or loses he is the best man in the ring.. I can see him steal a few wrestlemanias in the future!! Just love his in-ring work!!

Daniel Bryan - Same as above really... he is more technical and reminds of me of the old school technical wrestling back in Britain... I have to see him perform every week!!!

I've to go with SANTINO MARELLA and KOFI KINGSTON.
Santino because he is the reason RAW is still fresh. His segment with Sheamus a few weeks back was the funniest thing I had seen in years anywhere on TV.His cobra and other shenninigans are really hilarious.
Kofi Kingston because I love to see him fly around the ring,he is my fav. wrestler right now.I would love to see him as a world champion someday. His in-ring ability has been improving with every step. Its a shame that he burried against Orton. He has got a great connection with the crowd,he has got a charisma and energy that is unmatched in WWE right now.
So for me WWE programming without these two, will be boring.

My big three are not wrestling at the moment. Jericho, any time he's on the mike he's awesome. The Rock, this guy had "it"; charisma, mike skills, and ring skills. Finally, HHH-the King of Kings. He is the cerebral assassin, he could play so many mind games. I will never forget when he was feuding with Kane and was reenacting the necrophilia with Kane's dead girlfriend.

I think the thread title can be interpreted differently. There's the guy that you can't miss due to the fact that he will be on more or less every show, and will have such a focal point of the show that you simply cannot help but notice him. And then there's the guy that you simply cannot let yourself miss because you enjoy him so much.

I'm gonna divide it into Smackdown and RAW.

Someone you can't help but notice

Smackdown: Obviously as of late it has to be Kane. He has had such a big role on Smackdown in the past years time or so. At least ever since the whole Undertaker vegetative state storyline started. And I must admit it's been quite a treat to watch the guy, because he has definitely regained a lot of lost momentum, and has become a man to be reckoned with once again.

Raw: John Cena. Who else? This is the face of WWE, of course he will be featured as much as possible, and he will be the one that we most likely all remember after an episode of RAW. He gets the premiere storylines, as well as he gets a lot of air time, and much warranted as well. John Cena has been on a ROLL this past year, and he has definitely gone on to become a major part of RAW, and WWE programming in general.

The wrestler you don't want to miss

Smackdown: It has to be Dolph Ziggler. I've enjoyed Dolph for a long, long time. Ever since he began challenging for the Intercontinental championship against Rey Mysterio in 2009, Dolph has been on my radar, and have been one of the wrestlers I've found most joy in watching when he wrestles. He has been able to tear it down with more or less anybody that has been put in front of him. And finally he has gotten a championship reign worth mentioning. He has been booked as a strong, yet heelish person that can retain in any thinkable way, be it by dominating, or by slithering away in the last second like he did at TLC.

Dolph has definitely proved to me, and I'm sure to many others, that he can make it in WWE. And he could EASILY go on to become a main event talent. At least one can hope.

RAW: My first thought would've been Wade Barrett. However, I can't really say I want to put him on this spot, because he's already being consistently featured and he's already getting more than enough air time to the point where he's almost contesting John Cena in terms of being the guy you can't help but notice.

So that's why I'm gonna go with another person. This is one of the few talents in WWE, perhaps in the business that can truly claim to be (Sorry Laycool) flawless. And it's not just because I'm a fan of him, but simply because he's just better than the rest. Yes, I think it's pretty obvious now - CM Punk. This guy is new on RAW, and he has yet to unleash his heelish side on RAW, which has been on a roll on Smackdown, even if it wasn't treated as "well" as some would like to see it. However, he's getting thrown into what seems to become a feud with John Cena. And that is bound to be interesting. He's great on the microphone, he's hilarious on commentary, he's great in the ring and he has every single tool available to offer some great, great things to RAW.

Drew Mcintyre had never heard of him until i started working and got talking to his dad who was above me started downloading his ovw matches and smackdown debut for him and followed him ever since the only reason i even turn on smackdown now is to see him dont know if its becuase its seing a real scotsman on tv instead a kid on one but i feel he's great to watch and reminds me of the wrestling about 5-10years ago when it was at its best.

If I can be serious here for a minute, haha...there is three guys I would choose. two from Raw and One from Smackdown.

These selections may seem odd but again it what I think-from Raw its Santino Marella and..yes, Michael Cole.

Santino is the absolute best damn entertainer in that locker room right now. There isn't anyone in that locker room that is funnier or more popular to a point then santino right now. And his skills in the ring isn't bad either, actually its pretty good.

Now for Michael Cole, I will need a longer forum to discuss this character. But in small words, I think its absolutely brillant. We haven't seen a lead play by play commentator be a heel, probably ever!! Cole plays this character that doesn't care for the wrestling or nerdiness part of the business, he cares about the a-list part aka, The Miz and A-Ri and he does it well. He honestly right now makes me wanna tune into Raw every week and see what he has to say next and see what him and the rest of the Awesome Coalition does next.

From Smackdown its Alberto Del Rio. Really reminds me a lot of a young Eddie Guerrero/Tito Santana. Great character with pretty good wrestling skills. AND he has his own ring announcer??? Who else has that in wrestling, pretty much nobody! hands down the future of the business and a must watch guy on TV now.

For me, its easily John Cena.

Cena has maintained the same disambigous character while remaining fully relevant for the past 5 years. He's who really jump started my interest from a novice fan to becoming a full-fledged one once again. Ive always felt him to be a much better wrestler then many will give him credit for, and any Cena match has a "big match feel." He can make a top of the hour Raw match feel like a PPV main event with his intensity and passion he displays. I truly believe he attempts to get the most out of every match moreso then any wrestler within the company, which I truly respect.

Cena's larger then life personality has also been something that's drawn me to him as well. He maixmises every feud and helps make those who compete with him become interesting and relevant, despite their past. I never found Batista more interesting then I did during his feud earlier this year with Cena. He's helped make Nexus relevant to the point that anyone else in that storyline simply wouldn't have worked. Dolph Ziggler is a talented wrestler, but I never truly found him quite as relevant then this past week on Raw and Smackdown when he face off with Cena. Cena simply has that inate quality to elevate someone simply by stepping in the ring with him, win or loss.

So for me, its easily John Cena. He truly is the face of the WWE, and the one wrestler whose every promo, segment, and match feel of the upmost importance. That makes him can't miss.

Well a few of mine have left or been gone...Hbk, Rock, Trish Stratus, and Jericho....but as for who i have to see every week..

The Miz: He may not be Kurt Angle in the ring but the man is damn sure entertaining..ever since his crusade against John Cena...Ive made it a point to see what he was doing on Monday Nights.

Randy Orton- Ever since his evolution days...to the legend killer...to his Voices...to now the man is the shit and so damn entertaining...his feuds are classics.

Kelly Kelly - this is simple...umm hello look how damn sexy she is.

When it comes to entertainment, i can't miss Santino. They haven't had a gimmick that essential in entertainment in the business for awhile now (They tried Eugene way back, but that gimmick was dull). Santino excels in both entertainment and in-ring ability, he's only limited to a few moves now-a-days because he can execute those moves in a humorous fashion, but the Santino we saw in his debut in the miracle of Italy proved that he's capable of almost anything in the ring. Right now, entertainment just pours out of this guy so they have to get it from him in every way they can whether it be in the ring & outside of it. When it comes to pure in-ring ability i'd have to say Jack Swagger, he's got that style identical to Kurt Angle that always glues me to a match. If you give him a mic he can do almost anything, but there isn't much he can do in his feud with Kofi right now because well....Kofi can't use a mic for some reason

Finally, When it comes to both entertainment & in-ring ability combined at the moment, i'd have to say Alberto Del Rio. It would be Santino if they let him do more in the ring, but they made it clear that entertainment is purely what they want out of him.

There's many to pick from but in term of just the overall package its Sheamus for me. Like Wade Barrett you know when he walks down the ramp he's out to do something and not waste time and he's somewhat good on the mic. He impresses me in the ring. I never seen a Bicycle Kick as good other than Matt Morgan's.

It's CM Punk for me. I've loved the Straight-Edge Superstar ever since he debuted on ECW. He was just a whole new level of wrestler for me. After he debuted, I started looking into indy wrestling and seeing some of his older stuff, loved every bit of it. The man is absolutely magical on the mic, is hilarious as a commentator, or hilarious just in general, and oozes talent in the ring. Anytime they say "Next up, CM Punk vs. [insert wrestler]!" I make sure I don't miss CM Punk coming out. He's by far my favorite wrestler and it's always a treat when CM Punk shows up on Raw.

To say that Kaval was shit is whats laughable my friend. He may have been a jobber thus far but I dont like people based on how many matches creative is currently letting them win.

"May have been a jobber thus far," and that's all he'll ever be inside a WWE ring, a jobber. My question is, how can a jobber be a 'must-see-superstar'? Afterall, that is the title of the thread. Even if you believe he had an interesting moveset, the fact of the matter is, he wasn't relevant in the WWE. You miss a Kaval match, it's like missing Superstars. You might personally find Superstars interesting, but you could get away with missing it. And he's shit because he's not important. Superstars who aren't shit FIND a way to make themselves relevent, they find away to get themselves over despite poor booking. Kaval wasn't relevent, Kaval wasn't over, Kaval was shit.

I noticed that his reactions were actually quite good and if he stuck around would've recieved a nice little mid card push.

This comment is simply stupid; "if he stuck around [he] would've recieved a nice little mid card push," uhmmm, what the hell? That's a completely baseless theoriteical statement. Are you saying that if Kaval (a jobber) hadn't of been fired by the company, they would have pushed him? Haha, ok. And Kaval had good reactions? Haha, ok.

I'm gonna rant a little at this point and say that's it's guys like you who got Kaval fired. I'm not entirely sure about why Kaval got fired yo be totally honest (I don't care enought about him to even find out) but I'm guessing it has something to do with his comments about being left off the TLC card. It's fans like you who give average superstars (like Kaval) a false sense of security and over-confidence in their ability, leading them to make make stupid statements such as he did, ruining his shot to be something.

I like how you said that so and so doesn't make a superstar. It sounds like you got Vince yelling in your ear through your headset on what to say. Also like your can't miss picks of Cena, Miz, & Punk. Well you're in luck fella b/c those just happen to be the 3 guys they're pushing the most right now. How convenient. It's like you were built in a factory churning out exactly the kinds of fans that Vince wants.

Oh my god your right, I named the three people involved in the biggest storylines as the most must-see-superstars, I know nothing about wrestling! Let me break this down for you, ok? The WWE is the biggest wrestling company of all time, and Vince McMahon has been the mastermind behind it for quite some time. I love WWE, and I'm guessing you do too. Vince McMahon dictates who is at the top of this company that we watch religiously every week. He chooses what superstars should be in the main event due to their entertainment value and drawing power. (NOTE: Indie companies don't draw much, and people who are shit on the mic usually have a low entertainment value.) He's obviously done a pretty good job at this, and he obviously knows who he's choosing. Process that information however you want. And that whole original 'factory thing you came up with, here's the part you missed: I'm buying the factory's best and most sold product, you're buying the one of the factory's worst and least selling prodcut (a product they've stopped making)

It is not a fact, only a matter of opinion. I get why many people like him. Don't really hate him or anything. He's just a little too happy all the time for me. I think he would make an excellent host of a children's show. Him being unrivaled in the promo department may literally be true in that no one else is given the oppurtunity to go on and on as he does on the mic. I think he could be anything on the mic b/c he's got the skills but just not too inta his super duper good guy thing right now. Finally, don't appreciate the name calling. Differences over "superstars" is no need to put someone down. Hope you get that spinner belt for Christmas! =)

Too happy? He can show a wide array of emotions, more than the average superstar. I mean, he shows emotions way more emotions than Kaval, and thus, developes more of an emotional connection with fans. And have you been watching the Nexus storyling at all? That's not him being happy, that's called aggression. And why do you think people aren't given as much time on the mic as Cena? Because they're not as good. I would rather see a great 15 minute John Cena promo that three crappy 5 minute midcarder promos. You're not into the super duper good guy thing? Original arguement right there. He's the company's biggest face, he's booked strong as a result, a lot of fans pay to see him win, money is good for business, WWE is a business.

Sorry for the name calling, but i do find you kinda stupid :/ and I didn't get a spinner belt, I got a sweet John Cena t-shirt instead :)

This is a tuff one. But I will have to go with 3 people.

The Miz - I used to avoid him when he first started in WWE, both as a host of somekind and a wrestler. But the man has grown on me like a fungus. His ring work still needs improvement, but his mic skills are off the hook.

Sheamus - I don't know why, but I love this guy. He isn't anything special, but there is just something about him that I enjoy.

John Cena - Yes I hate him as a wrestler. But I always crack up when he is on the mic. Even when he is being serious, he can toss a joke in and be funny. Who can forget when he told Barret "You are strong, but you are as intimidating as Snookie."

HHH - My favourite wrestler of all time. Love his matches and promos but nowadays it is more due to nostalgia and also the fear that he might not be wrestling for much longer.

CM Punk - My new favourite. His promos are almost always entertaining. I feel that is due to him being one of the few wrestlers that is given more free reign with his mic time.

Sheamus - Human jar of mayonnaise. Yo Fella. He cracks me up all the time with his accent. He is decent in the ring also doesn't hurt.

Dolph Ziggler - To me he is the most exciting wrestler in the ring at the moment. His matches in recent weeks have been awesome to watch. Long may that continue.

Its odd these days, I find myself ten times more interested on the fringe future stars. That is why a lot of times, SD! feels more like must see tv to me than RAW. On a weekly basis now, I find myself thinking "well, let me stay up to see what this guy does, and then I can go to bed during the main event"

Drew Mcyntire, Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, Zeke Jackson, Daniel Bryan, Jack Swagger. On a weekly basis, I stave off my sleep (alarm goes off at 6am, mind) to see what happens with these guys. To me every one of them are sort of at the crossrhoads, sink or swim area of their carreers. Alll of them had their huge initial development, and its getting to the point to seeing if they will be expendable, or the new leaders of the company. I find that ten times more interesting the majority of the programming.

At the moment, it is CM Punk. His promos are so fantastic and I really want to see how he will project Cena as a bully in his current feud with him. Also its a great storyline in the sense that no one could have ever thought that someone would question Cena's morals. Punk has been the "can't miss" guy for a long time now ever since he joined the commentary team.

At different points in this year Orton and The Nexus have been the guys whom I could not afford to miss. Orton when he was RKO-ing the fuck out of everyone and Nexus when they first invaded Raw. But now I feel that they have both run out of steam and so Punk is the reason why I tune in to WWE every week these days.
