The Shark Should've Worked in WCW
So, I could not helpt but notice that for next week's Raw, they are going to have Shaquille O' Neal as their guest host. Admittedly, I feel it's a completely genius idea. The man is a pretty decent actor (Kazaam and Steel notwithstanding), and usually does pretty good when in front of a camera. He offers the absolute best sound clips in pro sports, and quite frankly, in the WWE, said sound clip ability would be great for promos. The man is fairly athletic for his size, especially when one considers his height and weight. And it finally dawned on me;

"Damn... Shaq would have made a fantastic wrestler"

I know, pro athletes never make much for wrestling ability, and pro athletes have crossed into the field of pro wrestling. However, if you had to take any pro athlete, and place him into pro wrestling, which one would you take, and why?

Shaq, to me, seems a bit of a cop out, so I'm going to pick someone different to use for this argument.

This man would make for an amazing professional wrestler. Besides the obvious tangibles he would bring, Ray is one of the most absolutely intense men you will ever find. I kid you not when I say that I would be absolutely terrified to line up against this man on the football field, and would probably be just as terrified to step into the ring with him. The man usually makes for fantastic interviews, as well, and has often been a mouth piece for the NFL, and for its players.His intensity can not be matched by any other player in the league. Standing 6′1” and weighing 250 pounds, Lewis always makes his presence known. That's a pretty damn good height and weight to have as a pro wrestler, and though he may have been a bit short to Vince, I feel that his speed and his aggression would have made for an outstanding wrestler.

Anyway, the question still does beg to be asked; pick an athlete, and explain why he would make for a good wrestler. Pick Shaq if you want; I only didn't because that seemed like a somewhat cheap answer. But place who you feel that, as a pro wrestler, would make it in the WWE.
