What Would Be Your Perfect Concert?

NSL

Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
This one is pretty simple. What bands would comprise your perfect concert? Try to limit it to three. An opener, and middle act, and a headliner. We'd all love to have a festival held in our honor, but there's not nearly enough time to read through 20 bands, and an explanation on why they'd be there. Also, try to include where it would be held.

I've always thought about what my perfect concert would be, but I'll amend it for the purposes of this thread. I'll only use bands that I've never seen, and I'll try to set it up the way I asked. Instead of 3 all-time great bands, I'll use a small-name opener, and have just one huge headliner.

I'd have my concert at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. It's basically an empty warehouse, and has an upstairs bar for people that don't like the idea of a wall-to-wall mosh pit. Crowds go nuts, bands play great, and security is good, but they let you havr your fun without hurting anyone.

My opening act would be Hollywood Undead. I've just gotten in to them fairly recently, and don't see any upcoming chances to see them live. Their music sounds like it would translate to a live show rather well, and they're not quite big enough to be anything but an opener, yet.

The second band on stage would be H.I.M. Now, I know there's a lot of people that don't like them, but I think they are a great band. They're also huge in Philly (because of their association with Bam Margera), and the crowd would be lively for them. They're too big to be an opener, but they're not quite headlining material in the USA yet.

My headliner would be none other than Arch Enemy. They're loud, they're heavy, and the crowd wouldn't be able to not go nuts. For a place like the Electric Factory, it would be insanity. Angela Gossow is a great frontwoman, and it'd be amazing to see her live.

The perfect concert for me would have to include Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, and Mariah Carey. It would be held in Florida on a beach at night :) As for the order I would have the Black Eyed Peas as the opener to get the crowd hyped, Mariah would be next, and then have Beyonce take the stage last to send everyone home happy.

Beyonce's tours are legendary in the pop community. She is one of the few pop artists who not only can sing(very great I might add)but she can also dance her ass off(have you friggin seen the Single Ladies vid?). It is a dream of mine to see Bee perform and I know it would be a kick ass concert. She is said to be very energized in her performances while still being able to sing her heart out.

The next band would be the Black Eyed Peas. While they are not the best "singers/rappers" live they sure can put on a lively show. I love pretty much their whole catalouge and know pretty much everyword so I would be singing along right with them. The crowd would also be very lively since the Peas just bring the excitment so that would make the performance that much better. Plus theirs always a possibility that Fergie will piss herself again, so you can't go wrong with that.

The last choice was hard because there are so many singers I would want to see live but I went with Mariah Carey. Black Eyed Peas would bring on the performance, Mariah would bring her killer vocals, and Beyonce you get both. When Carey is on her game she can pretty much sing anyone under the table and along with Celine Dion and Whitney Houston she is touted as having one of the best and strongest voice ever. I think just to hear her live would be amazing. And while her stage performance is lacking, I think her killer vocals would make up for it.

This would be more dream concert of a lifetime. Hon. Mentions include Natasha Bedingfield, Britney Spears, Destiny's Child, Lady GaGa, Nelly Furtado, Kelly Clarkson, Kellie Picker, Lily Allen and JossStone(lol). Seeing any of thoes would be amazing.

My perfect concert would take place at Bogart's. A monumental concert venue in the Cincy area, with great accoustics, awesome pits, and cheap drinks. Only drawback: No smokes.

Anyway the bill would be as follows:

Opener-Damage for a Dime- A local Pantera tribute band. They get loud, rowdy, and usually turn violent. Great fun for the whole family!

Middle-Kittie- I've seen these girls live 3 times, and each time was better than the last. Their music compliments the opener perfectly, and they can do slower songs as well. The fact that they're all easy on the eyes certainly helps as well.

Headliner-Venom-Really no reason here, except it would be my only shot to see Venom live in Ohio. Well that, and since Dead is dead, there's not been a long term singer for Mayhem.

Tough choice, tough choice indeed. Well I suppose I'd have to say these three bands because they're my top three faveourite anyway and I have not seen any of them and the chance to see all three in one go would be incredible for me...

I'd probably have this in my backyard with a few mates of mine on my birthday to be completely honest. Then I'd definately have the chance to meet them and talk to them for a bit after the show.

Opening act - Escape the Fate. I love this band. They seem alright live from what I've seen on YouTube and as much as I don't like the fact they have a new singer, he seems ok when he sings the older songs, not the same but close enough as you could probably get. I know pretty much all the words to all their songs and would give anything to see them live.

Middle act - Marilyn Manson. I love Marilyn Manson a lot and I know most of the words to his songs too and I'd like to see him because he's not getting any younger and his performances will slowly deteriorate as he gets older and since he's releasing a new album soon, I hope he comes to Sydney. I love watching his live performances on YouTube and a DVD of his I have and think him and the band would be great live.

Headliner - My Chemical Romance. My faveourite band of all time, no matter what anyone says will affect that. I love all their songs and would kill to see them the next time they come to Sydney if they do for their next album. They've said that they wont hesitate to stop My Chemical Romance if they feel that they've done all they can and I have to see them before they stop.

My perfect concert would take place in asbury park, nj right on the beach. My show would be a ska/ reggae show which is the perfect type of show to be on the beach.

the opening band in my show is one of my favorite bands at the moment rx bandits they're old school stuff is fast pace ska mixed with some real funky reggae beats with some political based lyrics. they would get everyone grooving before the next band

the second band would be no other band but sublime. Bradley nowell is genius in all aspects in music. I could imagine how epic he would be in person, since there is no question he was the soul of this band

to close out the show Bob Marley and the Wailers. This would be the perfect way to end my show with the legend himself closing out for two bands that were so influenced by him.

Now only thing i needs a time machine for this to happen

My perfect concert would start with one of my favourite bands coming out first to warm up the crowd.

Protest The Hero would start the show with a 4 song warm up.

They will play the song
Bloodmeat- Nothing would start up a crowd like the bone chilling song Bloodmeat
Blindfolds Aside- This song compliments Bloodmeat so well and would set up...
These Colours Don't Run- Although they never play it at live shows now.
Turn Soonest To The Sea- This will be their last song on the set, really to lead into the next band.

Apocalyptica- I will give them the chance to play 4 songs as well, but their job is to get the fans' hearts going from 180 bpm to 80. They would play a couple original songs, and then set it up for the main event band. They would also play a few songs with the main event band, when it is needed. That band is...

Led Zeppelin. My all time favourite band. I give Zeppelin the last 2 and a half hours, with the show ending with Stairway to Heaven. Although not a great song to end on, it would be for me, a sort of a dream ending. Apocalyptica would help send off the show.

My perfect concert, firstly, would either have to be held in FedEx Field (stadium of the Washington Redskins) or the Empire Polo Fields (home of Coachella). Of course, all of my acts would be of the dance/indie pop variety:

Pendulum would open up the show. I vacillated between Pendulum and Cut Copy, but I went with Pendulum because I would want to open with some drum and bass. While I love Cut Copy, they are just a little too mellow.

Next, I would go with Glass Candy, a band that perfectly blends electropop with Italo Disco.

Finally would come what could arguably be called a synthesis of the first two bands (but, with more Glass Candy than Pendulum and still much more "poppy" than Glass Candy): Daft Punk, my favorite group. Daft Punk always puts on an amazing light show and mixes their existing music in new ways that is awe-inspiring.

With these three acts, I would be sure to have eargasms aplenty.

Opening Act - Mastodon. They are undoubtedly one of the best metal acts today, with a trio of masterpieces of modern metal under their belt. With their newest record, they've yet again progressed to new territory, and only show promise to get better and better. I've seen them live three times now, and they've been awesome on each occasion. Not many bands can touch them live these days.

Middle Act - Megadeth. While their stage presence isn't the best, they play their stuff pretty much spot on. Mustaine is about as precise with his guitar as it gets, and now with former Nevermore/Jag Panzer guitarist Chris Broderick a member, I can only imagine how good they'd sound. They have no shortage of classic albums to choose from either.

Headliner - Metallica. Metallica live are simply stunning. Amazing stage presence, pryo, lasers, fireworks, and the energy the band present is unmatched by anyone. Their catalogue is top-notch, with eight studio albums full of classic songs to play. It would be just that much better if Mustaine ended up playing a song with them as well.
