I had to pay my respect to the late Nelson Frazier Jr. with this thread, unlike some other posters on WZ...

But yes Nelson Frazier Jr. made a name for himself in the WWF/E years ago. From starting his WWF/E career as Mabel in the tag team known as Men of a Mission to his final run in the WWE as Big Daddy V. He went from heading world championship matches against Diesel to ending his WWE career on the now defunct ECW brand. Nelson Frazier Jr. has gone by different moniker's from over the years. Such moniker's as...

-Mabel
-King Mabel
-Viscera
-Big Daddy V

Nelson Frazier Jr. has been in & out of the WWF/E for over 15 years at one point before his final release from the company. But in your opinion. What was Viscera's best WWE character?

I'm sorry but this thread is only in existence because of his death. Don't get me wrong it is tragic that he died but don't jump on the wagon please

Now that Viscera is dead, half the wrestlezone world is acting as if the wrestling world is shaken with grief and will never ever be the same. Last I knew , the same happened after Guerrero, and Benoit(albeit tentatively) but the WWE wouldn 't dedicate entire shows for the passing of every bum. Note-Umaga died not long after being released. .

But to reply to this thread, the first time Nelson Frazier mattered to me, and generally , was as Big Daddy V. I'm not sure whether it was the ECW name, the superstars involved(especially CM Punk), or the feeling of ECW in contrast to Raw or SD, but Big Daddy V soon felt like a watchable programme and that's about it. If you think Nelson Frazier was anything more than an obese creepy-looking cartoon character as Viscera and Mabel in the 90s, then tommorow when Snitsky dies, create another poll enlisting his greatest matches ...on HEAT.

Obviously this thread is only existing because of his death. We have recently mourned the death of a professional wrestler and the poster has decided to ask the community what they believe his best character is.
Should that even be classed as a bandwagon of any sorts?

Yes, it should be classed as a bandwagon because lately, a whole lot of bums who never even knew or mentioned Viscera/Mabel/Big Daddy V have been acting as if he had a stellar career, or a HOF career and how much they're devastated. Hell, one person said he had an "EPIC CAREER". I'm not sure how Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels would feel knowing that , because they've had an Epic Career of their own. So yeah. I can't wait for Snitsky or Val Venis to wither and watch what these wrestlezone bums say about it.

My personal favorite was The World's Largest Love Machine. It was just a fun character. He got to do a little comedy and a little comedy is good for everybody. I was actually sort of sad when they turned him heel. Those giant silk pajamas were just amazing.

But his most successful was obviously King Mabel. I mean no matter how non-believeable he was as a title contender, he was in the championship match at Mania. Not a lot of guys can say they did that during their careers. So that's a cool accomplishment for him.

As for the trolls that can't quit trolling. Well no kidding his death brought on the discussion of his life. That's what death does all the time. It's never going to change. You should know this by now. Sorry the posters on the boards don't discuss every single non-active wrestler every day of the week. I never knew that something that one person said could ruffle so many feathers and get everybody so butthurt.

So paying respect to any deceased wrestler = jumping on a bandwagon now?

To say this is some kind of bandwagon-jumping and that Viscera was a nobody is ridiculous. Mabel won King of The Ring, a well-respected achievement. He was part of the Ministry of Darkness, a larger than life stable and was ultimately one of the most intimidating men in it. His horndog antics with Lilian Garcia were cringeworthy but ultimately entertaining, and Big Daddy V was a complete juggernaut.

So what if he didn't win numerous piles of titles? Is that how The IWC defines success? Those things are props. Mabel was a strong worker that spent a long time with the company. It's okay to show some respect to a guy that sure as hell earned it.

As for his character, I liked Viscera the Ministry of Darkness lackey most. I just dig the darker characters and he really didn't have to open his mouth to give off that horror movie aura.

While I think Big Daddy V was his most entertaining...he'll be remembered most for Mabel/King Mabel.

The biggest disservice to him was that he headlined Summerslam 95 with Diesel.
Nothing against those two,but it had the unfortunate task of following the second EPIC Razor Ramon/HBK ladder match, a true classic!!

It's called having respect for one of the most kind, genuine guys in the business and for a huge man who busted his ass for over 15 years to entertain us. Comapring Snitsky and Venis to Vis? Not even close. Vis had a WWF title feud,he was a KOTR winner, he was in one of the most entertaining storylines of all time (MOD), he had FOUR gimmicks that all worked decently well for him. He was one of the first true MONSTERS in wrestling and he deserves respect for what he has accomplished in the WWF/E. Your obviously the bum for getting all ********* about people showing respect for a dead wrestler..

If you think Viscera/Mabel was ever anything other than a HEAT talent, and accidentally achieving some success in one of the most Flop years for the WWF(check out how crappy Royal Rumble was in 1995) and being a fluke KOTR , and in an era still gravid with cartoonish characters(Duke the Dumpster? The Godwinns? Jesus. Double J Jesse James? Double J Jeff Jarret coming to the ring dressed as a damn stripper?) , then you're mistaken. The only comparable wrestlers I can recall are Snitsky and Val Venis, and at least in Venis' case he was a credible IC champ at one point(in 1998/1999) and not a Heat jobber. Needless to say, paying respect to a deceased wrestler is one thing, but to glorify their fluke achievements such as KOTR victory and not accepting the fact that Viscera was nothing but an obese, giant, ginormous abomination to the WWF/WWE roster is just stupidity.
And what do I have to do with Viscera being a fat bum being a Fact ? Call me what you will, I'm not the pro wrestler who's dead or who'll ever lace the boots and wrestler.

I will admit that there wasn't a more ginormous abomination walking the isle on Raw or Heat than Viscera. But I really liked him as Big Daddy V, and was invested in his programmes on ECW. But does the WWE ever stick with anything? Soon enough he was released.

And by god, the most repetitive and routine entrances of Snitsky and Val Venis on HEAT in 2005 are far more entertaining than stuff WWF had going on In Your House pay-per-views in 1995/1996. Double J Jeff Jarret. Jesse James. Godwinns. And a dozen other abominations. Had it not been for WCW and NWO, we'd probably still have fat bums winning KOTR and wrestling Bret Hart. Imagine CM Punk as champion in 2011 having to face some bum on pay-per-view , lets say JTG, or Zack Ryder. That itself is enough to disqualify Mabel as your KOTR.

Original MOM Mabel for me. I liked that tag team and found their theme music rather catchy. Plus in tag matches, less PPVs and 1 hour raws, we could enjoy the character as the mid-card act it was, with less time for crap he did in the ring.

King Mable/singles Mable/Viscera/Big Vis were all, to me, dreadful and a waste of time.

He seemed to find his niche with the worlds largest love machine, rather enjoyed that and wouldn't have minded a love machine/sexual chocolate tag team.

When you actually think about the crap gimmicks he got, he really was lucky to have been around the WWE on and off for so long.

Nobody is saying that Vis is going to be in the HOF... because obviously he won't. The point of this thread is not determine how much Vis sucked or rocked, the point is to RESPECT A MAN WHO WRESTLED FOR YOU FOR OVER 15 YEARS. Is it written somewhere that only World Champions are allowed to be mourned when they die? Dude your making yourself look bad by comparing Vis to Snitsky or Venis showing you have no clue what your talking about. Was Val more ENTERTAINING than Vis? Yes because he had a damn porn star gimmick and Vis was just a scary massive man who got no mic time. But if you look at the big picture, Venis and Snitsky probably lasted a total of 10 years in the WWE combined (if that). Yea Venis won the IC title but was he ever even close to being World Champion? No. Was he ever above a midcarder? No. Vis was at least in the picture for a couple years. Snitsky does not deserve to be commented on. And lastly, yeah Vis was massive, but he'll probably make more of himself than you ever will bud.

This.

I enjoyed Men On A Mission. They were good at getting the fans involved during their entrances and matches with chants of "Whoomp There It Is". They were a lot of fun.

I also liked the Worlds Largest Love Machine character. His storyline with Lilian Garcia was entertaining, and the segment at Vengeance 2005 where he dumped Lilian for The Godfather's Ho's, was hilarious. The Vis-Agra was also funny as shit.

Wow. Why the hate for this guy?? There's only like 2 threads that have been made since he died. Sure maybe 1 or 2 overestimated him by saying he had an epic career but generally everybody that's commenting on him is only mentioning his KOTR win and besides that he had a DECENT career with a few gimmicks. Would it be better if we just didn't care and didn't even bother make a topic about him?? It's not like the whole first page is suddenly popping up with 12 Viscera threads.

From the 90's until now hundreds of wrestlers have come and gone and are no longer active, or some are but just not in WWE. Maybe we just don't have the time to remember them all and make threads about them... but it doesn't mean that certain ones don't have small fan bases or people that wonder what happened to them every now and then. I miss guys like Lex Luger, Rhino, Juventud Guerrera and others and maybe if I get the time I'll make a thread about them just for fun. But the first response to this thread was "This is only being discussed because he's dead." I feel like that is just dragging unnecessary hatred and disrespect in here. If you're not interested then why go out of your way to say that? Just let those of us that enjoyed him more to come and enjoy talking about him. He was a decent midcard monster who got to take on some champions like Batista, Cena, Taker, Benoit and others. Obviously Viscera lasted alot longer and meant more then someone like Snitsky.

Anyway I liked him most when he was "The Love Machine" chasing after Lillian and wearing the pajamas and cutting some hilarious promos. R.I.P.

Wow. Some people are just ridiculous. No where. Actually scratch that. ABSOLUTELY no where in the OP's thread did he say that Nelson Frazier Jr. Had a great career or that he was a great wrestler. He simply wanted to pay respects to a pro wrestler who passed to soon. It doesn't matter if the greatest wrestler ever or if the Gobbley Gooker passed away, it's still nice to pay a little respect to the man by posting a thread about him. In NO WAY is that jumping on the bandwagon. People who are angry cause someone took time to make a simple little thread about a recently deceased wrestler need to stop looking for things to complain about. :banghead:

On to my answer though. I actually didn't mind the Viscera character, but out of all his characters I found his Big Daddy V character the best. It seemed to have the most potential.
