What match should close the show at WrestleMania

Getting Noticed By Management
The title of this thread says it all. What match would you want to close the show at WrestleMania 25 and which match do you think is most likely to close the show.

This year there are no other matches besdies the world title matches that are at worthy of closing the show and of the two title matches orton/hhh and cena/edge i think Orton/hhh should go on last. There are several reaons why i think this match should go on last and the first is because Orton is the rumble winner and the rumble winner should MAIN EVENT wrestlemania not be in an undercard titile match. I HATE it when the rumble winner isnt in the true main event because it makes the rumble itself seem less important. Secondly, i think Orotn should go over due to some sort of mcmahon related swerve and having a heel stand tall at wrestlemania 25 would be amazing. It would be quite fresh and different, the only other time a heel was victorious in the main event of wrestlemania was at wrestlemania 2000 with triple h i believe. ironic. `

Wrestlemania 25 should close with Orton standing holding the WWE title. Orton is going to be a huge star and a win over HHH in the main event of the 25th anniversarry of Wrestlemania would help solidify this.

The final image should be of Orton holding the WWE title over his head, with Legacy surrounding him, congratulating him, whilst there is crap loads of pyro going off all around him.

I can see the Orton/Triple H rivally being so personal by Wrestlemania, it will have to be the final match on the card, just to build the antisipation even more.

Whilst Cena v.s Edge will be a great match, it won't be good enough nor important enough to close the most important show in wrestling history.

On any given year, I'd say that the final match at Wrestlemania should be the Rumble winner facing off against the champion.

This isn't every other year. If, and when, HBK v. Undertaker happens, they should close the show. Shawn Michaels is Mr. Wrestlemania, and is the most serious threat to the streak. Undertaker not only has the streak, but puts on the best show at Wrestlemania.

If this match happens before the title matches, it'd overshadow them, and definitely take away from them. Everyone would be talking about HBK versus the 'Taker, and not paying attention to whatever title match follows.

I never like Undertaker closing Wrestlemania. He never looks happy that he's won and it goes all dark and everything. I know that's his character, but I always feel more satisfied when I'm thinking "Good for him, he finally made it" about someone else winning the title after a great headlining match rather than "Ok, he's destroyed another opponent" after Undertaker finishes his Mania match.

I agree with the other guys that definately the ending of Wrestlemania should be all about Orton.
Yes, HBK and Taker will probably have the match of the night. But Wrestlemania is less about how well you do on the night than it is about going through the 2 month journey to get there.

It should be Orton's night, with him celebrating at the end.

I agree with NSL the show should close with the biggest threat to the streak ever "The Showstopper" HBK Shawn Micheals and the streak "The Phenom" The Undertaker will have the best match at Wrestlemaina25 no doubt about. As HBK is gonna pull everthing he got into this match and so will Taker and they will put on show which may be the greatest match in WM history.

If i had to choose between Orton vs HHH or Cena vs Edge to close out wrestlemania 25 i probably would go with Cena vs edge. The reasoning is simple, Wrestlemania always end with a feel good moment, when the face win the championship and everybody is cheering him for he accomplish. The cena/edge match will provide this feel good moment unlike Orton vs HHH which will probably have peoples wondering why they ordered wrestlemania. I've got nothing against Orton but the fact of the matter is that he got his big win at last year wrestlemania and did nothing with it. Orton only has good matches with a select group of wrestlers and most of them are guys like HHH. Another thing that i hate with the new Orton is the legacy part of it. Sure, he'S supposed to have back-up when he'S in trouble but the fact is that it's wrestlemania and this should be the only place where Orton shouldn't have to rely on Rhodes and Dibiasie to win his match. Having these 2 interfere in is wrestlemania main event doesn'T help Orton at all. So sure Orton vs HHH might be the better of the 2 matches but Cena vs Edge will have the better ending and probably the better storytelling out of the 2 matches + i don'T see Orton winning the WWE championship at wrestlemania unless there is plans to send him to smackdown.

A bloodied Orton holding the belt with a smiling Vince, a content Ted and a hurt looking Cody in the background. A bloodied and battered HHH lying unconscious in the ring with a crying Stephanie lying over him.

There's your Mania ending.

I like how everyone's already assuming what the matchups will be..... But I guess, for the sake of posting, I will play along as well:

Orton/HHH- WWE Championship Match
This is probably gonna be the closer. Its the WWE Championship match.... It has HHH & Orton in it, two of the most successful stars of the year in it.... These guys are involved in one of the hottest/longest feuds right now, and its being showcased on Raw.... And, of course, Orton is R.R. Winner, and deserves the Main Event spot.

Cena/Edge- World Heavyweight Championship Match
This has a decent chance of being the Main Event, as both guys have literally worked their asses off for the WWE in their own respective ways all year long, and their history should allow them to re-ignite their past feud and really turn it up in the upcoming weeks before 'Mania... Since the match involves Cena, the WWE's headliner, it has even more of a chance of being the M.E.

HBK/'Taker
Although I doubt it will be the closer, it would be damn classy if it was, and I (nor should anyone else) mind if it is, just out of respect for an instant-classic involving Mr. Wrestlemania & The Deadman's Streak, 2 things that have truly defined WM almost since its inception.

OMG, i want cena to make edge tap out the STFU and close the show with the title belt again!!!!!

j/k... yeah orton will close the show.

Randy Orton vs. Triple H (If it happens, which it probably will) should be the match to close WrestleMania 25 if it was to happen because I think the Royal Rumble winner should always be the main event, holding the championship wether it's the WWE Championship or the World Heavyweight Championship.

As for what image, then I suppose it could be Randy Orton holding the WWE Championship high with Priceless, Vince and Steph by their side after a possible heel turn from Steph and Vince on Triple H in the match and if there was no heel turn from Stephanie and/or Vince, then Stephanie would probably just be next to Triple H upset, but I don't expect the latter.

Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker will not close out WrestleMania 25 because the main event of a WrestleMania should be about either championship and the Royal Rumble winners road to WrestleMania.

It is blatantly obvious HHH and Orton will get the Main Event slot. Edge Cena is completely thrown together and is garbage in my opinion. I am still not one hundred percent concvinced this will be the match though. It just seems pointless and thrown together. I am glad they seem to be giving Edge some main event spotlight, but this match should not be happening. It would take me hours to type my disdain for the current mania progression, so I'll spare you all. But I will be entriely surprised if Orton and HHH don't main event.

Its going to be a match that hasn't been announced, or it should be. If Austin or Hogan agree to come back for a final match, that should be the last match. Or if the miracle it happens they fight each other, that should be last match. This is the Silver Anniversary, no bs withy a heel and all the McMahons hurt and crap. It should end with some of the wrestlemania legends in the ring, celebrating this historical night. Even HBK-Taker should be last. I want a cool, "happy" ending, something that will make this night special. Hogan and Austin drinking beers in the middle of the ring would be perfect!

I always think the Royal Rumble winner should have the honor of closing Wrestlemania since that's supposed to be the tradition. I hated when the last 3 Royal Rumble winners didn't main event the show.

WM25 should have Orton and Legacy standing tall, signifying the new era. While it would be cool to have the legends Taker and HBK close the 25th anniversary, I have to agree with Blade that Undertaker isn't the best choice. In my opinion, Wrestlemania should end with "Yes he finally won the big one".

If the Randy Orton vs. Triple H match happens. Then it should be this one. Not only for the reasons that Orton is the Rumble winner. Also because With the storyline that is getting laid out, it would be a waste of such a real event to be placed anything but last. A pissed off husband going after his wife's attacker with the biggest prize on the line. No matter who wins this match it will definitely be a good heated affair with a lot of crowd interaction.

I understand why some might Taker/HBK should go on last, and I respect that but the Rumble winner should be on last. I mean, the billing of winning the rumble isn't for a title match; it's to main event Wrestlemania..in a title match. And to add to that, the Orton/HHH story has gotten personal and I'm sure it will intensity in the month and a half of Raw we have left before the big event. Plus if Orton is to finally go over Triple H, and take his spot as THE heel of the new generation who finally won the title back with the help of his Legacy after months of working towards it and stands tall with them as the show closes (with the best theme music in years playing)..that moment would be well..for lack of a better term, "simply priceless"

While I love the undertaker to death. I don't think the'll close the show with him.

They usually only close the show with a wrestler going over the champ to win with title. So with that said I would Love to see Orton go over HHH in the main event and have him stand on top with the championship. It looks like they only gave HHH the title to drop it to Orton.

Now the question is will Cena go over Edge. if he does then we might see WWE's top face close out wrestlemania

Too be totally honest why is WWE Pushing For Cena/Edge and Orton/HHH. Its not something we havent seen. Just a year ago Triple h fought Orton right through the summer. Why do it again at Wrestlemania.

John Cena and Edge. Did we not just see that on a Raw Special 3hr show a couple of months ago and it lasted 5mins. It just proves that WWE is running loose on Main Event talent. Triple h and Edge only fought once last year. Add Orton too that

Triple Threat wwe championship
Triple H vs Edge Vs Orton

WWE Championship
John Cena Vs Undertaker

I really do love the direction the Orton vs. HHH feud is going to be going as we saw The Game like we never saw him before as Raw went off the air monday night. This has all that is needed to close the show. I think ultimately Stephanie will side with Orton saying that no one in her family could stop Orton and he stood up to all them and HHH wasnt there for her and let her get RKO'd. This could easily close the show on most WM's.

BUT.....this is WrestleMania 25. This isnt WM 17 or 13 or something like that this is the 25th Anniversary of Mania. The biggest show the company has ever done. They are going to want their biggest star, John Cena, to be their standing in the ring as the show goes off the air. They are going to end on a feel good note and Cena will go over Edge and close the show.

John Cena vs. Edge

I want to see Orton v Triple H close the show. With Orton surrounded by the legacy of the top rope the belt hung over his shoulder doing that pose he used to do with the cameras flashing, insane pyro and confetti falling from the sky.

Cena/Edge easily- Cena is the biggest face, Edge is the biggest heel. It just makes more sense, everytime they have wrestled each other they have had good matches, and the feud between them will pick up pace, and in my opinion go over the Orton/HHH feud which has had more groundwork around Orton/Mcmahons up to this point. I don't really see an arguement for HHH/Orton, the match is beneath Cena/Edge despite been intresting. Fans have been waiting for Cena/Edge to go at it again for nearly 3 years now, the time is right and there is a natural chemistry between them.

Edge/Cena gets the nod everytime.

I'm not entirely certain that simply Edge vs. Cena is going to happen. I am predicting a multi-man match, probably a 4-way, for that particular title. Though Edge and John work very well together, it has happened to many times for me to want to see it headline the biggest event of the year.

Randy Orton vs. Triple H should close the show, and I expect it to. Why? Because one, the McMahons will be there. Two, its the Royal Rumble winner, and although the last few years' main events have not featured the Royal Rumble winner, its still a point in the right direction.

I would be lying if I said I was not a tad disappointed that this is our main event, conisdering these two have fought several times (just nine months ago, in fact). But at least the storyline will be good. Plus I expect a big swerve or something so this should close the show. Orton aligning with a McMahon should close the show, in my opinion.

to those who say taker and shawn should close it, i quote ric flair regarding wether or not his match should've been last because it was his retirement. "the belts should go last"

RIght now, HHH and Orton. I fully expect Orton to take home the gold at Mania, and what better way to close it out? Cena beating Edge is almost a given (which makes me think the title stays in Canada), and Mania likes to end on suprises. Orton and HHH isn't something that's leaning one way or the other. Having Orton standing tall over the whole company with the gold above his head would be absolutely amazing to see, and just the idea of two men desperate to get their hands on each other at the end of the night is a great concept to me.
