Over the last few decades, we've seena number of great comedians come and go. we could sit here for days and argue who was the best, but I want to know which special was your favorite. Was it Eddie Murphy's Raw? How about Robin Williams' Live On Broadway? Maybe it's a lesser known comedian that you cane ducate us on. Let us know!
My all-time favorite, mostly because it all rings true to me, is Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding by Christopher Titus. Most people would remember him from his cancelled TV show. Some may have even seen this (toned down) special on Comedy Central. But, I've seen it numerous times on YouTube, and even saw it on Comedy Central's Secret Stash, where they show uncut comedy and movies. He tells a story of his life, and all the crazy stuff that has happened to him. From falling into a bonfire, to his mom killing her husband, to getting married to a psycho-queen, he lays it allout in the open. The way he tells the story is great, and it adds a lot to the humor in the story. They're all true stories also. Everything that he jokes about on stage, is stuff that's happened to him.
Another one that I like is Jeff Dunham's Spark Of Insanity. We've all seen it. We may not have all laughed, but we've all seen it. Dunham does some of his best ventriloquism here, and the puppets are all funny as hell during their bits. The banter between Peanut and Jose Jalapeno On A Steeck is always my favorite bits of his shows, but this whole show had me rolling.
