What Is Up With Sting?

Is he a heel? Or is he a face? What is TNA doing with him?

I think he is still a face. They are just teasing this to keep Sting fan boys like me guessing. I assume they will have him feud with Samoa Joe, or possibly even Booker T. It's probably more likely that they would turn Joe heel here and then have Sting Feud with him to give him more of a rub. A feud with Booker T. would be alright as well. But they are both older.

Or will they have him side with Angle and Team 3D? That would be very interesting to say the least. Or will he side with Booker T? That would be a little less interesting. If they do turn him heel though, they are doing a better job of it by teasing it, unlike a certain company called WCW.

I'm just curious to see what you guys have to say on this matter.

I have no idea. It's teasing just for the sake of it. It's bad management by TNA. Sting is on a part time schedule. He's a legend. He should be one of the easiest wrestlers to book for. He'll get a reaction anyway so teasing him as a heel is pointless. And as this is TNA if he was to turn hell it would probably just be a swerve and he's be back as a face the following week.

The angle is certainly interesting, but it reminds me too much of the Undertaker's angle/gimmick. Especially how the lights go out and when they turn back on, somebody is knocked out unconcious and other other guy is holding a weapon that he didn't have before, that is way too much like what the Undertaker sometimes does. I think Sting will remain a face and will challenge Samoa Joe at Bound for Glory for the TNA Heavyweight Championship.

Hopefully that match will be decent. But so far, I do like the angle but it's been done before. I just can't see Sting as a heel as he is way over as a face. Sting will challenge Joe and lose. I really can't see him winning the main event at Bound For Glory 2 years in a row. But I can't see Sting wrestling for at least another month. TNA wants to keep the angle "mysterious".

Hmm, I vote for Sting staying face. Sting just doesn't seem to appeal as a heel. I mean that in a good way though as Sting has always been a great competitor from way back in his NWA days even. The guys has always been a great Face as well. IF they turn him heel, they better have a really well put together storyline to explain why a wrestler who has been a face his whole career decided one day just to go ahead and turn on the fans. If they pull this "The fans don't appreciate me" crap though, that's it, talk about horrid. Is this Sting or is this Hogan?

I cannot even remember the last time Sting was actually a heel. I don't think they are doing anything that makes sense here considering his limited schedule.
I think Jake kind of hit it on the head ... they are teasing just to tease and it makes little sense. He is such an Icon, so fun on the mike and in the ring, why the hell do I have to keep seeing him in the damn rafters?
I think if they do have him feud with Joe that Joe ends up being the heel, whether they want it that way or not.

I think at Victory Road where Joe went "crazy" was a really bad segment it didnt not feel to me as if Joe had "lost it" and snapped and then Sting comes down and talks smack to Joe and nails him. Bang that just made it slightly more interesting, im enjoying where they are going with this evenm if its juts teasing but I think they should fully fledged turn Sting heel. Because even if it doesnt work out Sting can turn face in a second. To take Sting and someone who is a legend and a natural face and to turn him heel would create some very interesting storylines and wrestling. Lets hope TNA doesn't half ass this!

First of all, and I may be wrong on this so don't kill me, I don't think Sting has ever been a heel. He's pretty much been a face his whole career and that's the way he wants it to be. Even if TNA wanted to turn him heel, I don't think he would go for it and TNA is not going to force him to do it because as all of U have said, he's an Icon and they'll pretty much let him have creative control to a certain degree. They're probably just gonna have Sting feud with Joe to put him over and Booker T is taking advantage of the fact that sting came out and laid out Joe to make him look like a heel by using Sting's bat to attack Joe. Sting will come out soon and reveal that he is just there to teach Joe a lesson about how to control your anger and not let it take over you. That sounds more like the new Sting to me. Kind of like he did with Abyss. And of course they'll put the title in there as well to make it seem like if Sting has to take the belt from him in order to teach him a lesson, that's what he'll do. Good feud and a good way to put Joe over as TNA Champ!
