In checking weather.com right now, it would appear that there's a 60% chance of rain on April 1 all day/into the evening.

I wonder how rain might have an effect on the matches that take place in an outdoor setting like this?

They have a canopy over the ring so it won't have an affect on the ring or the action in the ring, It'll leave the crowd exposed but much like when they travel to a football game or a baseball game, they anticipate it and bring rain gear. Aisle way could be affected by it but a bit of rain could make things look cooler, who knows.

I'm sure WWE expected their may be the possibility of rain, and much like any business will have prepared for it.

Rain could potentially cause some problems. This is being held outdoors, so if it rains then they run the risk of wrestlers slipping and hurting themselves while performing a dangerous spot or damage to the equipment being used. You would think that WWE will be prepared ahead of time for rain. There will most likely be a tent or canopy of some sorts over the ring to protect the wrestlers.

It might or might not cause a little frustration for the fans. Their food, merchandise, and clothes could get all wet. They paid for outdoor seating at this event though so they know that the chance of rain is there. Rain has never been a problem at Wrestlemania before and I doubt that will start here. If anything it could make for a cool background in the more important matches. How much more epic would Taker VS Trips be if thunder is heard as someone hits their finisher? In some ways the rain would actually benefit the show.

Coming from experience of slight rain during attendance at Wrestlemania 24, I don't think it's a big deal at all.

I believe prior to the main event at Wrestlemania 24 it began drizzling a bit. No one stirred or anything and not a soul as far as I can see had any rain gear. People just kept on watching the show and the Taker/Edge match went on without disturbance. Of course that's only drizzling and heavy rain could possibly pose trouble but if I know anything about wrestling fans is that they are resilient. I have no doubt that for both appearance appeal and safety they will have a canopy structure above the ring so that the wrestlers are safe. The crowd on the other paid to watch and outdoor event so I can infer that they are aware of the circumstances and the chance of weather problems. Again it's wrestling fans and I am sure that some rain isn't going to keep them from watching "the biggest match of all time": Cena vs Rock or Taker battling with HHH in one hell of a Hell in a cell match.

I myself will be in attendance that night and I'm pretty sure no rain is going to taint the event for me.

As a ticket holder to this years Wrestlemania, I'm not all that worried about the rain. I've been in the Sun Life Stadium plenty of times and rain is a condition that is common in South Florida. Their is a chance of rain every day, why should next Sunday be any different? Rain could be a factor for the Wrestlers though, Rain onto a canvas ring would cause it to slip and trip. Not to mention how potentially dangerous it would be for a wrestler to climb to the top rope. Good thing their will be a canopy over the ring if rain wishes to play an impact.

Punk's hair will not be affected in the slightest.

Rain may force the action to stay in the ring but the tarp should allow the show to go on. A combination of wind and heavy rain may be a bigger issue. But rain alone won't stop the show, maybe just some of the spots and ring entrances.

I can remember a little rain at Wrestlemania 24, but it wasn't anything serious, and there was a canopy over the ring.

I've been going to Sun Life Stadium for years (back when it was still called Joe Robbie Stadium). I've seen my fair share of Dolphins and Marlins games, and I can tell you the weather is MUCH worse during the seasons for both of these teams, especially the Marlins. Severe lighting storms, heavy rainstorms, and there's always the rare possibility of a hurricane warning. It can be a real mess, but I don't expect anything serious next Sunday. I've seen the weather reports, and there might be a light drizzle, but I don't think we'll see any hard rainstorms, that could ruin the show. I'm sure WWE has thought of this, and they will take the necessary steps (there has to be some sort of canopy over the ring) to prevent rain from ruining the show, so the weather shouldn't be a problem.

But it doesn't matter for me. I'm going to Wrestlemania 28. I will be there live, and the weather won't bother me one bit. I've sat through Dolphins games, that featured a lot of rain, and if there wasn't any lighting around, I would sit around in the stands during Marlins games during rain delays (of course I was wearing a poncho or raincoat). Rain won't ruin my experience, and I will continue to hold down my seat in the stands regardless of the weather situation.

It's too soon to tell.

Weather reports 4-10 days out are largely useless. There's too much time for the weather system to change.

However, it rains all the time in Miami, so it's definitely possible.

A heavy rain would probably limit what the performers could do, but I'm sure they'd find a way to work around it.

What if it rains? People get wet. Wrestlers perform under a canopy that also holds the ring lighting system.

It'd take a downpour blowing sideways to delay the card, and I highly doubt that the WWE spent two years preparing for an outdoor event, in Florida, without considering the possibility of all kinds of weather problems. It's Florida. It rains, a lot.

i don't understand why WWE doesn't make this PPV in an stade cover,we are in 21first century,ridiculous to see that in a big company like this.
In Tennis we are cover short and no problem when it rains.

I will be attending and taking my John Cena umberella.

But there shouldnt be a problem. WWE is well prepared by the looks of things. I doubt the fans will care if it rains.

I think some rain will actually add to the "mystique" of a couple of the matches, mainly Trips vs. Undertaker in the Cell. Imagine them battling it out in a cell with some rain in the background. That would be cool.

Same goes for Rock and Cena. It will look cool. Sure it will be a little uncomfortable for the crowd but something tells me no one will care.

The ring is covered so it wont affect the in ring action, but rain would be awful. I'm sure some people will leave their seats if it is raining hard.
