First up, is the original. This was the final track on Daughtry's self titled album, and it's probably the best song on the album. It's up there as one of his best songs. It's meaningful, it's powerful, it's just a great, great song.

Now, introducing from Ireland, a band who have a long history of taking powerful, meaningful songs... and turning them into a chesse-fest. Whilst admittedly this isn't all that bad, it's simply a soul-less, un-inspiring cover. Westlife simply have released their own version of this song because they know they'll make a few quid out of it.

What do we think? In my opinion, Daughtry wins this hands down. It's just not an attempt at cash-grabbing, which is the obvious reason why Westlife have done their own version. But what's most annoying is that this song will get the response it deserves... but thanks to a less superior version by a really irritating boy-group!
