Ladies and Gentlemen,readers,judges,my esteemed opponents,I sit before my laptop today to explain to you why I feel women wrestler'sshould focus on being great in ring performers instead of being eye candy,and I urge you to agree with me,based on the following criteria.
Wrestling is about in ring performance,plain and simple.You can say that charisma,mic skills,the ability to cut a promo are important,and they are,but
not the be all and end all.And in order to become successful,you must be a
good in ring performer.The legends of the business such as Steve Austin,The rock and hulk hogan are all great performers,in ring and out.So I ask you this,why shouldn't women wrestler's be.
Women wrestlers are WRESTLERS,it's in the names.If you think of the most recognisable names in american wrestling female wrestling.Trish Stratus.Lita.
Mickie James.All good in ring performers.In TNA,their knockout division is one of the best in america.Well certainly better than the wwe's divas.And from that division,who are the two most notable names you can think of.Gail Kim.Awesome Kong.
Gail Kim was the first ever TNA womens champion,and Kong was the longest reigning.They are both excellent in ring talents.Now,and I'm not sure about your different tastes,but I wouldn't consider either of them gorgeous,well not Kong at least.Especially not compared to women like Maryse and Kelly kelly.
But in a wretling match.You know when two opponents starts actually wrestling,Kong and Kim would totally destroy them in every apect of wrestling.
If you look at Japan,they couldn't give a damn at how you look.Do you think
GAEA Japan ask you to wear a bikini before they decide to hire you.No.Some of the best Joshi wrestlers,such as Manami Toyota,Aja Kong,Dynamite Kansai and Mayumi Ozaki. You cannot say they got where they are now because of beauty,but because they are incredible in ring competitors.Aja Kong's uraken could take out a man,because she's an absolute beast.Manami Toyota is considered by many to be the best female wrestler ever.
The only women in wrestling that need beauty over in ring prowess are valets,.The women who accompany men to the ring.Who take off their jackets.And you know why?Because they need relatively no talent whatsoever.All they need is to stand there,cheer,and look pretty.Any good looking woman can do it.SoCal val in TNA did this,she just sat there.Nowadays,valets,along with managers,are gone.And I do't really see the point in them,except for generating interest in a boring wrestler.Valets don't need any talent,just a pretty face.They're the Batista of this world,but with boobs intead of biceps.
In conclusion,we watch wrestling to be entertained by in ring competition,by wrestlers.We want to see 2 or more wrestlers,male or female,squaring off in the ring.IF you wanted to just see gorgeous women,which a lot of men do,you can pick up a playboy.Look at some pornography.Because I don't know about everyone else,but I watch wrestling for WRESTLING.
