We need closure

The one thing that really bugs me about wrestling nowadays is all of the dropped storylines that take place. For once I would love to see a mystery solved....

It's obvious they are building up Dolph Ziggler, as they should. At the same time...CM Punk is a great champion and should keep the title. What I would do is have this match, taking place next week, be interrupted midway through by having the return of that mysterious Raw GM email in the middle of the match with the lights flickering. Cole would look around dumbfounded and King would comment that he hasn't heard that in a long time.

Cole would walk over to the laptop that isn't even opened, read it: "It begins."

The final "It Begins" promo comes on the Titan Tron with the boy saying, "And on the 2nd day of January....tonight...the prophet has emerged." The Jericho countdown starts as the fans go nuts. Chris comes out and declares that he, all along...is the General Manager. He states that Mr. Laurantis' duties are no longer needed.

They need to bring closure to this storyline and this would be the best way to do it. So replacing "Johnny Ace" would be Mr. Jericho, and the start of a potentially great feud between Jericho/Punk....to see just who is the Best in the World - culminating at WRESTLEMANIA.

What more closure do you even need? What part of "New Interim General Manager" do you not understand? The closure came when John Laurinaitis got the job. It doesn't matter who the mystery GM was... that GM got fired and replace by the former skater. There's no further closure to be had at all.

Are you serious? "What further closure do we need?" Really?

I guess you're part of the minority that like ongoing storylines that are suddenly dropped. Lauranaitis as IGM is not the answer, and yes...there is further closure to be had. Read what I wrote...it would be a perfect way to blend it all together.

It won't be Jericho as he was on RAW when the mystery GM started and he was trying to find out who it was.

We don't need closure as it has been long enough that most people have finally managed to forget about it. Just because you remember it doesnt mean all the fans will and I think most fans are happy that the mystery GM is gone. The closure came when Vince returned, HHH became COO and then Lauranaitis became IGM.

I disagree. I was quite interested in that storyline and I would really like to see it resolved, especially in this case as it was such a prominent part of the show each and every week. It still has lots of potential. I don't really dig the idea of it being Jericho, though...I'd rather see him in the ring, he's got tremendous mat skills and could help put over a lot of the younger talent who, quite honestly, desperately needs the help. I've never seen so many botches in WWE in thirty years of watching.

It made RAW less enjoyable, overexposed Cole and it was pretty clear thay had no idea where they were going with it. Horrible storyline I personally am glad to see the back of.

To be fair, they always said the GM was "Anonymous" not "Mystery" - so they probably had a GM in mind, but when plans changed, they didn't bother with a payoff.

I agree with what you said about storylines being dropped...happens far too often. But they never actually said there would be a reveal with the GM.

Although an interesting concept, this would make no sense because Jericho was "taken out" after the anonymous gm was implemented so it would leave some holes in logic if it was him. But other than that, I would be totally surprised if that happened.
