Continue questioning and judging just because you can. But no God is a dictator, right? Also, he's not MY God. He's the God. Yours as well. Your opinion doesn't change the facts.
He is your god. Allah wouldn't be your god. The 50000 Greek gods wouldn't be your god. Your view shapes your god.
Wow. What did I say wrong here? I just said that there's no problem in trying. But continue making a mountain out of a molehill just because you CAN.
You said science cannot answer something then provided something science is currently trying to answer (and will be able to answer).
What if I tell you that fire can continue endlessly and won't be put out even if a stream of water is run through it?
Then you would be a liar. There are certain types of fire than can enlarge due to water (however, those fires will go out if there is enough water put on it) and fires that can last on top of water (oil fire for example) but none that can literally last if water is going through it.
Again a mountain out of a molehill. My response had everything to do with your statement. I know nothing about Bible so can't discuss about it. Unlike you, I don't discuss about something i don't know anything about and i don't even try to show that I know everything like you.
Wait, what? You know nothing of the bible yet believe in god (I'm assuming you believe in the biblical version of god). How incredibly odd. Which god do you believe in? There are a lot of them.
Again something I'm unaware of.
So a fact that disproves a major biblical event isn't worthy of anything further than "huh"?
Nopes, God would laugh at how you naive are. Not for believing God or something. That's your prerogative. It's just that you behave as if you know everything and that God ain't existent. Keep calling him whatever you want to. Because that describes you, not him.
I don't know everything. I even said I have no idea what happened before the big bang. No one does. People always ask well how does the universe exist without god but for some reasons ignore how does god exist without mega god. People made up god to explain things they did not understand. People used to do rain dances because they thought that would please god and he would make it rain. Obviously this is not true. Those people did not know that.
Primitive people tried explaining things without the correct knowledge. This is why people created god.
I like how god has to be a dude.
You wana talk about people? Lol. People even believed that Earth was a square. Does that make them true? Taking name of God for justifying your actions is damn easy as it doesn't have repercussions very soon. Like God won't end you just because you think so "good" about him. Some people believe that all Muslims are terrorists. I can't and don't believe such pathetic things.
So Noah's Ark being wrong (they didn't even know about bacteria back then yet got two of every animal, genetic problems, incest problems, size problems, feeding problems, sanitary problems), the earth not being flat (as the bible says it is), pi not being 3, earth not being only 6000 years old, etc. Despite all of that, you go well idk god still exists but with no proof. Stop committing fallacies dammit.
Strobel was an avowed atheist who decided to study the truth of Christ after his
wife's conversion to Christianity. He went in from a journalists perspective thinking there couldn't be any factual proof. Instead what he found led to his own conversion and he's been a devout Christian ever since. He also wrote The Case for Faith.
Pussy will make some dudes do anything.
Jokes aside, this isn't a strong argument. He became religious before he wrote the book. Strobel interviewed no people that disagreed with Christianity. That would make the book an echo chamber and unreliable. They concluded that the bible was accurate despite being written years after the fact due to the story being passed down orally before finally being written. This is dumb. Like really dumb.
One quote about the book is that it is written for people who to want to reaffirm their faith and hope they can convince their friends to become religious with it. It will not convert anyone who is not religious because it is not written for them.
Many people have switched sides. I have. I used to be religious then Noah's Ark just wouldn't get out of my head and eventually I just had way too many questions. It is rare for a hardcore atheist to be turned. Though to be fair, that could be due to less atheists than theists.
One of the biggest questions I have is why has god seemingly done nothing in forever? He used to be very active but all of a sudden disappeared when we started learning about science and facts. Weird how that works. Is god camera shy or something? Does he not give a crap about us anymore?
