The following match takes place in the WCW Region under WCW Rules, from Tampa Fl. The ring entrance and ring are equal height.

#25. "The Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death Defying" Sabu!!!

#40. Big John Studd

While I never thought Studd was a great wrestler, he'll beat Sabu here. Sabu is only at his best when he can use weapons to his advantage, as well as being able to work outside of the ring for as long as possible. He'll be confined to the ring, and Studd will pick him apart. After a bearhug and a few slams, Studd will have his hand raised in victory.

Sabu and Sandman are in the same boat: Good with weapons, bad without them. Studd will crush Sabu in a matter of minutes. Studd wins.

Studd easily. His size is too much for Bazu without any additional help. Outside of ECW he was a glorified jobber. Studd at least had his size going for him and would win here easily after some power moves.

Sabu would lose here, before he got out of the ring to even try and get weapons. In his prime, Big John Studd was almost unstoppable, and there is no way that someone like Sabu, a hardcore specialist would be able to neutralise him.

If Andre the Giant struggled to get Studd down on the floor, you can bet your bottom dollar that Sabu has no chance. Studd wins this match up, very easily.

Anoter example of a guy simply out of place in a region he never did well. Sabu was in WCW for a while in the early 90's, but really never amounted to much. He still had a knack for the hardcore, and I think he ended up getting himself DQ'd more often then not. Studd is a guy that stood in the ring with Andre on many occasions. Studd is simply too bit and strong for anything that the high flyer could throw at him. Studd wins a walk.

I agree with the consensus. Sabu is out of his element and is getting up against a complete powerhouse in Studd. Sabu has no way to get Studd down. Sabu will get him staggering, head to the top and get caught in a bear hug and then slammed to the mat, and Studd will make the pinfall.

Sabu and Sandman are two men who really lost their first round matches based on their region. WCW is a classic-style setting with classic style matches. Sabu cannot use chairs or tables to jump off of - he has to make due with what he has, and that doesn't favor him.

He'll get some offense him on his speed, as well as his intensity. But eventually, Studd will catch him, slam him, bear hug him, etc. I give Sabu 7 minutes with Studd before the big man ends it.

Gosh, Studd sucks so much. But, I will unfortunately have to go with him here, as almost every move in Sabu's repertoire involves the blatant use of a foreign object. Man, I wish this match was in ECW so I could see Sabu crush this bum!
