[It's Damn Real!]

I didn't see a thread for wallpapers here anywhere, so I figured the best bet would be to start one that'd allow everyone to post in as well.

The thread isn't limited to sports (or my case, hockey), so if you have other wallpaper designs for whatever else, you are more than welcome to post them here. I'm not sure who the graphic artists are here, or if there are many left or not, but I'd love to see some of your work!

Please use this thread for all your wallpapers (if you design them).

The design was a conceptual mark-up for a viral ad campaign where I superimposed Ilya Kovalchuk's head on Brandon Dubinsky's body. I know, I know... bad karma, but it's not as though the image arsenal of former Rangers who wore #7, #17 or #71 is outstanding, folks – gimme a break, eh? I also know he's a right-handed shot and that Dubinsky is a lefty, but the idea was fun-loving, so keep that in mind when you're judging me.

One of my favorite wallpapers I've ever made. I'm a big fan of the Hitman and I wanted to do him justice. I believe these were Axeraider brushes that I used, since I get a lot of my brushes from him. The font is called Death Fucking Metal. I sampled a few colors from Bret but mostly I used pinks and whites from the color picker. The resolution is 1024 x 600, because that's the resolution my netbook has.

Put this together this morning.

Theme was simple – construct a wallpaper featuring the "new generation" of the New York Rangers youth in Brandon Dubinsky, Michael Del Zotto, Ryan Callahan, Artem Anisimov and Marc Staal.

There's a play on words with the stacked type that reads as both "Gen" and "Era" – both of which pertain to a generation, obviously.

Style is highly digitized and moderately futuristic to also support the "new wave" feel.
