Vote the Libertines in Wrestlezone rock tournament

jpfizzle

Pre-Show Stalwart
It would be an absloute tragedy if they go out first round, the prodigy are good but just check out some of the libertines stuff on youtube, the band is absoloutly superb, they didnt make it over to America (I dont think) but only because of they imploded from within, anyone who wants to know the libertines story just ask of go to wikepedia.... The Libertines at one point had the potential to be the biggest band since the beatles and thats no over statemnt, and absoloutly tragic end and a whole host of die hard libertine fans praying for an eventual reuinion should be enough to push passed the Prodigy.

Vote now they need you, they are currently like half the votes down

While your at it, go vote for Dream Theater. They are being robbed, actually one of my picks to go pretty far, and Evanescence....Really? :lmao:

This thread angers Jake and his favorite band the Prodigy.

I'm about to anger Jake.

Fatboy Slim & The Chemical Brothers > Prodigy

Perhaps they both are. He's said at one time or another that both were his favorite band.

Off topic: IC25, I am anxiously awaiting what will be our most heated battle when it comes to Bon Jovi in the 80s region. We are going to have some fun good sir. :D

^ Sure is. Atrocious. I'll never understand how a man listens to Bon Jovi without feeling ashamed.

Didn't they say something along the those lines on the Behind The Music for Bon Jovi?, or was it some other piss poor 80's band

I remember some guy coming on and saying that if you were a guy and listen to them you were either gay or extremely sad and pathetic:lmao:

Fatboy Slim > Prodigy

You crazy homes. Fatboy Slim was popular in the late 90's as were The Prodigy. But only ones music has stood the test of time. If it wasn't for Spike Jonze then Fatboy Slim would be in the same camp as a band like Chumbawamba.

Chemical Brothers are awesome. But they've never gained as much popularity as the other two. And they've never had a stand out hit like them both. Nothing by Chamical Bros can comare to Praise You or Firestarter in terms of popularity. But there music is consistently great, I'll give you that.

Just my opinion Jake, but I personally enjoy Fatboy Slim & Chemical Brothers more then Prodigy.

But what's this jibba-jabba you talkin' about Fatboy Slim's music not standing the test of time? BS, Better Living Through Chemistry, You've Come a Long Way Baby and even Halfway Between the Gutter and the Stars are all classics. Nobody had the talent when it came to the Big Beat sound as Norman Cook AKA Fatboy Slim. His records are just absolutely mind-blowing in the depth and intricate detail with which he uses samples and mixing techniques.

For me, always Fatboy Slim > Prodigy. Prodigy doesn't have anything that can match "Song for Shelter" in my book.

I am not even sure if Jovi is my final choice for who I back in the 80's yet. I may still go with U2.

And as for Justin's "blah blah blah," Bon Jovi is a HERO in Jersey, kid. And talk about a guy standing the test of time! STILL sells out massive arenas, STILL puts out multi-platnium albums, and STILL ranks among rock music's classiest people.

BUT... will he vote for the libertines in the WZ rock tournament?

.... no - but you should

That's cool. But ask the majority who've stood the test of time.
