The greatest idea I think I have ever seen.

For all those people like me that use Youtube, I think the biggest reason people use it is to listen to music. I know I do, infact, I Am doing so right now.

So for the past few months, if you are like me, you will notive many songs use a program called Vevo. Not really a program, instead it was a group put forth by Sony and Universal to control all of their music that pours onto youtube. To make lost money off of it, they are doing the simplistic way to recuperate that lost revenue, and that is through advertisement.

When you go on Vevo, every so often, you have to watch a 15 second ad. Nothing really to complain about, but it could make Vevo money if we actually go out and buy some of those products. So instead of being like Warner and removing their music, Sony and Universal will still get their product out to the populous, who might actaully buy that music on iTunes or a physical copy, as well as make some money off of ad revenue.

Yeah I've noticed that a lot through the past couple of months, and I think it's absolutely great, giving the chance for people to actually watch the music video (those who care for that) or listen to a good audio upload of a song.

And I must admit although I don't exactly rush to purchase the products in the adds, because quite frankly they can be a little annoying at times rather than something I'd sit through 15 seconds of (even though yes 15 seconds is an acceptable amount of time) I still think it's a great business move, and could easily prove beneficial to some certain extent.

I think it's good as the companies get money off the songs they own and people can listen to good quality songs and watch a good quality video. I don't pay attention to the ads though as I usually just check something for a couple of seconds before it goes away.

I think Vevo is a brilliant idea. Firstly, You have all the "Official" videos in the one place. That makes trying to find videos that much easier because you Dont have to browse through the whole list to try to find the actual video clip

Secondly, The Videos are usually in excellent quality, Need I explain why thats a good thing?

I only have one slight problem with Vevo and that is those ads. Yes I know they're only 15 seconds. But almost every time I have watched something on Vevo I have had to sit there through some ad telling me why I should buy gum.

Vevo's a good idea. It gives youtube a chance to put up music videos, and the music labels have a chance to recuperate some losses through advertising. All of the videos are in high quality, and usually the ads are just short, and don't present a problem to anyone that will want to watch the video.

Something of note: I don't have any ads that pop up before the video. Usually, it's just a banner on the bottom of the video that you can close.
