Believes in The Shield!
So we all have been to the site that is unanimous for their viral videos and the people who talk about whatever it is they want to talk about. We've all subscribed to a person on this site because we wanted to make sure we got to see their next video asap. We've all cringed when the dreaded Vevo made its way onto the site and forced us to no longer put our favorite songs in our videos, and instead had to settle for less.

I speak, of course, of the one and only YouTube. The site that brings us millions and millions of videos per second... yes, more than a million videos are uploaded per second on youtube.

And yet, we at wrestlezone in the technology section have yet to make a topic concerning this juggernaut that has given us viewing pleasures beyond belief... until now.

What I want to know is:

What do you think about Youtube in a general perspective?

What do you like most about Youtube?

What do you like the least about Youtube?

In theory youtube could be the best site ever... I've spent countless hours over the years watching youtube rather than some crappy TV show that's playing during primetime that my wife is watching. I've found good music I'd otherwise never have heard of, I've found walkthroughs to video games, tutorials on fixing problems on my computer, how-tos for fixing crap broken around the house, I learned the proper way to chop down a massive tree on youtube, and in general learned tons of crap that I wouldn't be able to learn by just reading text instructions. Video is the best way for a guy like me to learn if I have to learn something on my own.

It's certainly not perfect though, thanks to WMG, and various others.

The worst thing of all though are the assholes that just want to shit all over everything. The comments should be great, a good way to talk about whatever it is you're watching, but then dipshits ruin any conversation to be had unless the uploader constantly monitors the comments and moderates.

In all that's a very small price to pay for a site that's so good. Entertainment or educational it's great.

Okay, you're going to need to produce a source for that. The only stat I found regarding that is 20 hours of video is uploaded every minute on Youtube. If I Google your statement, the only result I see is this forum. A million videos are not being uploaded every second, that's way overstating it.

I enjoy looking for random things on youtube. It's a good place to show things to the world. What I like the most about youtube is how whether it be promotional videos, music, home movies, slideshows, or random stuff; there is an endless number of videos waiting to be found there. Some end up getting more hits than others though. My trailer for the video game I made has around 400 hits, whereas a video I made with my old church group about an Angry Birds themed bible study has over ten times as many at 5,808. Different types of videos are going to get more hits and sometimes you post something (such as my bible study video) that you never would expect to see get so many hits. What I like the least about the site is the time limit they placed on their uploaded videos. I had a walkthrough series going on and some of my videos got deleted after this time limit rule got put in place, which was extremely inconvenient because the older videos should have been grandfathered out of the new time limits since they were already uploaded.
