I'd like to know what KO has to lose in this match? He has been on a major decline since he beat Ty, probably because he doesn't have Ty to work off any more. With not a single achievement to his name KO has nothing to lose here. All the guy can do is gain something with a win. At this point a victory over someone like The Beard would do him the world of good.
Or lose the win? What does a challenger have to lose in a title match? Nothing. They can only gain the title by the win. A wrestler can always lose momentum no matter where they are at on the card.
Concerning the match, would you rather have everyone thrown into a random battle royal dark match like we do all the time? You complain about beating someone like The Beard doing nothing for me if I were to win, but yet you arrogantly scoff the idea in the WZCW Discussion thread and say you will vote for Darren Bull. Fine, use logic and vote someone who Chris could actually gain from beating.
KO vs. Constantine isn't a big deal, it's simply the KFAD facing a lesser opponent. KO isn't a main event player. Sure he beat Ty but look what happened when Ty was no longer around to be the focus point of his work. Look at how far he fell without the guy that helped build him.
So then what was Holmes vs. Chris? Nothing was on the line and there was nothing to gain or lose. It was implied behind the scenes that the winner would be shoved into the Main Event, but it was never publicly acknowledged.
So here are the two scenarios we have:
A. Holmes wanting to fight Chris because he stopped him from buying the company.
B. Constantine wanting to fight Chris because he stopped him from cashing-in with an added element of surprise if people want to vote that way.
Do you know how many times Kurtesy beat Holmes (at least once)? Do you know how many times I have beat Kurtesy (twice)? Do you know that Kurtesy beat Titus (twice, once with an RP where he was naked for most of it), Barbosa, and Ty Burna at KC?
How can you sit on a stool and judge that I am some dirt level opponent who can't even carry their jock strap? I have never been one to brag or even boast about my accomplishments, but there is only so much crap I can take that is being poured on my character.
Since beating Ty you cannot claim that KO has not been a failure. He's done nothing since retiring one of the greats in this federation. Two cycles later and KO is without an opponent and an open challenge that many don't think he deserves. I'm sure Constantine will get the nod because it's the way things are being pushed, if so I hope he wins. I'd like to see what happens once KO loses.
I have lost to Holmes (who is in his prime), Titus (who could have the record of Ty Burna if he was consistent enough), and Steamboat Ricky. Jeez, pardon me for losing to three rookies and being a complete failure. Do you know many losing streaks people go through here, but are still some of the best RPers in the fed? If you didn't know that, a prime example is glaring at you. I can remember just a few months ago when Titus was half-assing RPs, and now he has a world title shot at Unscripted (and he deserves it). What does he have to lose from that? Oh, nothing. He already has a couple world titles under his belt, main-evented KC, and won the LL. See how pointless your trivial "what does he have to lose from this" argument is.
Ty wasn't at his best by that point. He had lost to Kurtesy at Kingdom Come and had his empire crumbling around him. If anything KO beat a broken man and not the version that was beaten by JGlass. You could make a case that the JGlass victory is worth more because he did it when Ty was unstoppable. I don't think Ty won many matches at the time KO beat him.
Let me lay out a couple things for you. First, JGlass deserved the win, but I would hardly equate a mid-cycle RP against a rookie to a RP that headlined a PPV, was against the man he had built towards facing for almost a year, and was his swan song. I'll let you take a guess at what RP Ty spent more time on. You are a fool if you think that me winning at Redemption means less than Saboteurs spontaneous win. No offense to Saboteur, but the build was huge for our match and was a culmination of one of the best stories ever in WZCW.
Go back and read both Ty's and my own RP in that thread. There was no "deflated" Ty. It was definitely was better than the average RP that has to do with breakfast items.
As I've said beating KO isn't that much of an achievement because he has very to show for his time here. One victory over a broken Ty doesn't scream main event superstar..
I never said it did, nor did anyone else say it did. I got a shot at the Battle Royal and narrowly missed it. So, now I have a thrown together open challenge because I didn't have a match on the card. The announcement got a few sentences and wasn't even made out to be very big. I do not know how people think that an open-challenge segment is some prestige award that only a HoF worthy poster deserves. Maybe I am missing something there. I suggested it after I lost and it was picked up. I didn't push the "glorious" open-challenge segment. I mentioned it once among other options for Chris at the PPV, and that one was picked up. It will curtain-jerk the show and somehow Chris is unworthy to do that.
Side note* Because it is worth pointing out, I had no involvement in inputting Chris as the man to stop the KFAD briefcase. I logged in and I saw that it was taking place. However, I fully support it with the pieces that we had to use.
I am fine with people thinking that I need to go heel or change my gimmick, but don't shit on my character. I would never do that to any of you. I have always been soft-spoken around here, and honestly the constant nit-picking of my character is draining me. So much that it is just making things flat out unappealing. Some of you talk so much about putting so much effort into your work and how you all feel entitled for creative to bloom it out on shows. Well, creative members put a lot of work into their characters as well. Are we barred from enjoying what we do?
Alright, my rant is over.
