Why on earth, when you post the post that continues to the next page, does the fricken thread remain bold when you're the only person who's posted something new in it?

I can't even begin to recall the amount of threads that don't unbold, yet have nothing new outside of what I've posted to continue to a new page. Its one of those small things that pisses me off.
