You could have waited for Spear to plead his case, and one of the admins would have overturned the ban. They're both reasonable people.

I've been here 7 years. I've watched both admins go from newbies to their current positions and I know how reasonable both can be... just ask Macios. Since both of you were sharing an IP they probably would have just given you the benefit of the doubt, since there have been situations like that before... but since one of the cardinal rules was broken I doubt it.
EDIT: Yeah, and this isn't WF.

KB is going to log on, read this thread, check and see three accounts sharing an IP address, two of which have been banned already. That's pretty incriminating.
