The trash-talking that Chael Sonnen has laid down on Anderson Silva for months has been unbelievable and incredible as he has single-handedly hyped this fight to the point where he's earned major attention from ESPN for his comments. He's gotten himself in hot water over these comments about Lance Armstrong:

"Lance Armstrong did a number of things and he gave himself cancer," Sonnen said on Pro MMA Radio, as transcribed by MMA Mania. "He cheated, he did drugs, and he gave himself cancer. Well, instead of saying 'Hey listen, I cheated and gave myself cancer, don't be like me,' he actually made himself the victim and then went out and profited something like $15 million from this 'Hey, poor me, let's find a cure for cancer' campaign instead of just coming clean and saying, 'Look, here's what I did, I screwed myself up, and I hope people learn from my mistakes.'"

He has since backtracked from these comments saying that he never said them in the first place and that he was framed by a Hispanic guy.

Here is around 8 minutes of Sonnen ripping into Silva at the UFC 115 Q&A:

The assault has gone on his Twitter account as well. He claims it's not his, but judge for yourself...

Yesterday at the press conference, when they posed for pictures, Silva tried too hard to be intimidating. Chael didn't care.

I have Chael by decision. I think he will take down Anderson Silva, and ground and pound him for five rounds en route to becoming the new Middleweight Champion.

SPEAKING OF WHICH!... I have a signature bet with jmt225 regarding this fight. I'm picking Sonnen, he's picking Silva. Loser has to display a signature of the winner's choice for one month.

CHAEL SONNEN FUN FACT: Back when the WWF purchased WCW, he was training at the WCW Power Plant to become a wrestler. He wasn't picked up by the WWF and the rest is history.

If you want to watch the press conference from yesterday (it's definitely worth watching), you can check it out on http://www.ufc.com/live.

The Weigh-ins will air on http://www.ufc.com/live tonight at 7:00 EST. Those will be definitely worth watching as well.

Obviously, this is a PPV, so do not ask for streams. Also, do not spoil any prelim results, as the UFC will air them if they need time to fill.

GO CHAEL!!!!!!!!

Fuck Thiago Alves. I can't believe the UFC is considering putting him in a title fight if he can beat Jon Fitch. The guy hasn't fought since his ass whooping at the hands of St-Pierre and is overweight for tonight's fight. What a disgrace it would be if he beat Fitch and then got a title fight, at best he should fight the winner of Shields/Kampmann next.

Tonight's going to be interesting, needless to say. A lot of good fights on the card tonight from top to bottom.

I'll be watching.

Don't worry Indy, Fitch will do the same thing GSP did to him. It would suck though if he does win and got a rematch, much rather would see Hardy get another crack at GSP then Alves, if the stipulation is one fight and your back at #1 contender.

Man, I want Sonnen to win so badly but I think Silva will somehow beat him in either by decision or submission in the third round.

I firmly believe that if Nate Marquardt, who is very skilled at submissions, couldn't submit Chael Sonnen, then Anderson Silva, who has exactly one career win by a submission hold, won't be able to.

Keep the faith, Sonnen by Decision.

That's true, I just hope that Sonnen doesn't try to stand with Anderson in a fist fight. He needs to keep Silva grounded.

I can't decide how I want the main event to end.

I can't decide if I want Silva to knock Sonnen out quickly, or embarrass him like he did Maia.

Why? More importantly, why by Chael Sonnen?
He's too good for the division for the most part, making his fights boring because of it. He's been a bit of an ass too and hides behind the fact that he can't speak english well. Chaell Sonnen is entertaining. It's rare that I like it when guys talk a ton of trash, but he's one of the few exceptions. He's a good fighter and would put on more competitive fights than Silva. I know it's not the most sound logic, but that's what I'm going with.
