It was reported last week that Sojournor Bolt's future with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling appeared to be in doubt. According to sources, she was released by the organization this past week as they opted against renewing her contract.
Further confirming her departure from the organization, her photo gallery was removed from the company website's Knockouts section last night. However, her profile remains on the roster page. The reason for this is because the company may opt to continue using Sojo on a pay-per-appearance basis, so there is a good chance we haven't the last of her in the six-sided ring.
The veteran women's wrestler had been sparingly used since Dutch Mantel's departure from TNA this past summer and the feeling was her days in the company were numbered.
In addition to former Knockout Sojo Bolt being released by TNA, Jethro Holliday (former WWE star Trevor Murdoch) has also been removed from the "Roster" page over on TNAwrestling.com.
As is the case with Sojo Bolt, he may be used on a pay-per-appearance deal.
I can't say I'm surprised since Bolt and Holliday haven't been used in weeks, maybe even months. It sounds like they could have a few more appearances with the company, but they are definitely no longer apart of TNA. I can't blame TNA with all of their talent they have on the roster. Bolt is probably more talented then the beautiful people in the ring but other then that she was nothing special. I couldn't find anything special about her, and the TNA crowd didn't seem to either. I wasn't a fan of Holliday but I thought he had some decent matches and feuds. I guess TNA really didn't have anything in store for him.
TNA really never gave Bolt a good story line to flourish. She was with the Kongterouge before she feuded with Awesome Kong. Then she was pretty much a jobber from then on. Some superstars have it and some don't, I didn't think Sojo left any impression on the TNA wrestling world. Does anyone else feel the same or different about Bolt or Holliday?
