Trying To Help My Buddy Out.

Hey guys, I was gonna make this awhile ago but forgot about it until now. My buddy recorded a few original raps and put them on YouTube. He wants to see what people think, I think he's good but i'm a little afraid as his close friend I may be partial to him.

Honestly he sounds like he's reading off a paper. I realize he probably was while recording but its not good when you can tell. He needs to smooth out the flow. The lyrical content is solid but a little typical and the rhyming pattern is straight out of the book. Also he's a little monotone, needs conviction in his voice, although he does flash a little at moments.

It sounds like he's dragged through the dictionary for words that rhyme.

He's showing balls to even create it, but he doesn't come across as natural. It's like hes being forced to rap.

I'd far rather have that than have a rapper distort the same four or five words to make them rhyme.
