Occasional Pre-Show
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't seen an answer to my question, so anyways: Is Trish's contract public knowledge? I don't mean the fine details, but do we know if she's back for some time, or is it just to keep her exposure up for Tough Enough before she disappears? Or is she coming back to be a Diva for a while?

Thanks.

i think she has so much stuff coming up shes gonna stay for a while to plug and promote it all. Then leave for a time like mick foley does.

i think she might just vanish again. ill be honest her inring skill is so-so at best so i dunno, i cant really say ill miss her. no offence or anything.

I think we will see Stratus is an off again, on again relationship with the WWE in terms of on screen presence. I highly doubt she is back to become a full time diva and it is more of a Wrestlemania appearance and Tough Enough hype. I doubt we see her for awhile now that Tough Enough has officially begun and we move past Wrestlemania. Though if she was back full time it would add a much needed spark to the divas department. There are a handful of matches I'd like to see Trish take part in. Trish/Natalya, Trish/Beth, and Trish/Kong. All of which could be real possibilities but I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

Trish is so-so at best? Are you nuts? She pretty much invented the diva style of being athletic and sexy that the same time. Women just showing tits and ass sucks, women doing the same thing as men only worse sucks, women looking like 12 year old chinese boys and screaming and throwing each other on their head is entertaining but not feasable or entertaining for long periods of time. She invented the diva style that not many women can pull off.

As for her contract, I really hope she's back for good. She couldn't have possibly made enough money to live off of forever. At least not the lifestyle she's used to. The novelty of having a WWE star on a program has probably worn off for her other endeavors (much like The Rock). Basically she probably needs to be at least semi active on the roster.

I'm hoping she's back full time. She's way better than any Diva today and it's not even by a close margin. I find her to be more attractive as well and the fact that her attire is almost as ill fitting as Layla's is a plus. She has an amazing ass.

I never thought she'd actually come back at all, but I suppose whatever she was doing before doesn't pay as much as a Wrestlemania payday or being a trainer on Tough Enough. If she is only back for a short time, I'll be slightly disappointed but I know not everyone has the stomach to do this full time so I'm happy for her nonetheless. Maybe she'll get one last title reign before she goes as a nice send off.

Trish has back problems from her original stint in WWE, so I highly doubt she's ever coming back full time. She has her yoga studio and other ventures, so she really doesn't need to return full time. She'll continue making appearances, though.

As far as her ring skills, Trish was good in the ring, but not as good as she was made out to be. She largely got over on looks and charisma. Trish also had a great supporting cast (Victoria, Molly, ...) who could make her look good in the ring.

Today, there are some very good female wrestlers (Natalya, Gail Kim, Beth Phoenix, ...), but the ones who get pushed are the bimbos who have nothing to offer except sex appeal (Kelly Kelly, the Bella Twins, ...,).

Wasn't Natalya the champ? What? You want to to win the US title? I think WWE does the same with the women that they do with the men. They look at quarter hour ratings and try to push who it seems people want to see.

I like Trish, she's really awesome. I consider her match at WM22 vs Mickie james to be the best women's feud and match in WWE history. the crowd reaction was insane and the match was really good. The "botch" finish added to the match, if it was a botch at all and not just selling.

Mickie vs Trish was imo the best womans wrestlemania match of all time. The lead up was great it was week to week people were into the fued. Kudos to the WWE for giving them the time. my fantasy match has been teased before Beth vs Trish! I cant wait to see that one pan out.

I think that Stratus is sadly just back temporaily. However I would love to see Status compete in the divas again because she is a great competitor and she also looks amazingly sexy. However to answer your question, after the 10 weeks she will be out of here unless they have another season and they bring her back.

I think trish was great. but the keyword in that sentence is "was". She isn't as crisp and fluent as she used to be. either that, or she is working with women who don't feel comfortable with her. Trish was one of the greatest ever. no matter who got in the ring with her, it was at the very least watchable. even stephanie mcmahon. Trish and Lita were always my favorite divas. They brought something to the table that wasnt there before and still isnt there now. it was different. On one side, you had women like terri, who was there mainly to look good. then there was chyna, who was super manly and not very elegant, then you had trish, who was a perfect combination of both. she was sexy, but could get in the ring and throw down with anybody. Add Lita's risky high flying and the women's division was at its best. They had some great matches together. Trish even had a hardcore match. not a silly as "hardcore" match that wasnt hardcore, but a serious bust them over the head hardcore match. one of the first of its kind.

I think being older and having ring rust is the reason for that. Austin and Rock both have it too. Austin is gasping for air after a lou thesz press and rock looks a mom trying to wipe chocolate off their kids face when he "lays the smackdown". I just happens sometimes.

I really REALLY appreciate Trish. I think that people who think the Joshi women are the best are kinda nuts because they're basically doing what japanese men do, just worse. Trish invented a new style entirely. Sexy, but not ****ty. Sexy almost in an artistic way. The matrix duck isn't something men can (or should) do. When Trish does it, it's athletic, sexy, and makes sense. Her corner thing is like that too.

Yeah, Trish is one retiree that did NOT come back looking sloppy. Apparently that yoga stuff pays off big time. She's lean, though not as muscular when she left meaning she's not as meaty in the thighs and other places, but she's in amazing shape and looks to be able to move almost if not just as well as before. You can see the age in her face but there is also an apparent sense of maturity that definitely wasn't there in her TnA days. And we get an even better image of the person she is by being able to see her interact with other trainers and trainees on Tough Enough.
In comparison to my feelings about Shawn Michaels I'm a bigger fan of hers now then I was before she retired the first time, much like when Michaels returned from his major injury. There is more substance in her presentation IMO, even though I was skeptical when she first came back, because of her new look, being older, brunette, and thinner. But I'ma fan now and hope she sticks around a while.

If I were Vince McMahon, I would offer Trish a position as a road agent/trainer for the divas... Finlay held that position until he was fired not too long ago, so the position is available. This way, she could work behind the scenes, booking and devoloping the WWE Diva storylines, all while having the ability to help further their training and, when needed, could go out and work a match, which is one advantage she'd have over Finlay in the position.

As for "but, she's never booked matches before" people that will probably post:

A: You have to start somewhere.
B: How much could really go into booking the Divas division?
C: Could she do any worse? Realistically, the divas involvement in the biggest show of the year was having the first woman to win both WWE women's titles job to a reality star after taking a total of two moves.

Now, I don't know what sort of commitment, travel-wise, it would take from the WWE, or if Trish would be willing to do that, but I think it could be a good situation for WWE, for Trish and for the Divas division.
