Triple H, After his Wrestling Prime

I believe that Triple H is in his prime, right now! He is the 13 time WWE Champion, great wrestler and at the top of his game (no pun intended). But there will come a time where he will have to step down and stop...

When this happens I believe he should still stay in the WWE working as a manager and mabye even GM. Think about it, Triple H RAW GM, catchy no? The thing is he might be good outside the ring as well, I hear that Vince is always getting ideas from him and that he's been in sooo many matchs, he's probably the most experienced out of anyone. He would also be a great face GM, where some heels might try to trick him or underestimate him, he can hit them hard! And we all know that you do NOT wanna piss Triple H off.

So, what do you think, RAW GM? He can make occasional appearences in the ring sometimes too. This would make the WWE use him less and make it more exciting to see him appear in the ring.

So tell me, what do you think?

Also, just to note, I'm saying it'll be years until this might happen...

HHH would be great as GM. They could use this as a passing of the torch so to speak with Vince storyline wise stepping down and announcing his son in law as GM. I see this happening at some point bc the love/passion he has for wrestling would keep him involved to some extent. He will also be a major player backstage....

Triple H is Vince's son in law and as long as he doesn't get a divorce from Stephanie he will be in the business until the day he dies in some sort of role. As for his role when he retires from the ring I think he will take over the role that Vince has been carrying the last 10 years. He will just be the one in charge of the company on TV while Stephanie and Shane will be in charge of the business side of the company. This is not going to happen for a long time though because his ego is too big right now to step out of the spotlight. He has much more wrestlers to stop from any potential push they might be getting in the next who years.

Although HHH is past his prime right now (not bashing him, just saying), I see his role moving to behind the scenes and not in front of the camera (although he would make a good manager, the HHH GM role has been done before back in 2000 and would be a little stale).

HHH would be best at something like booking, or maybe even taking Vince's job when Vince retires (he would definetely be better at it than Steph or Shane as he understands the business better). HHH would be a great teacher as he is a lifelong student of wrestling, so he could also be used to enhance talent, all in all he should definetely stick around in some capacity as he could be really useful in getting the future stars ready for the big time (in pretty much any capacity).

HHH will not be the GM. He won't have that big of an on-screen role in my opinion. He will be backstage. God help us when Vince dies because hhh and steph will drive this buisness into the ground

anything, ANYTHING that gets him out of the ring. i promise you, i will like triple h so much more when he is no longer wrestling and is not on television full time. i like the GM idea though. i think trips would be pretty good at that.

HHH will probably never stop hogging the curtain and what's left of the spotlight. If he is indeed made the GM or RAW or Smackdown, which I think is the dumbest idea ever, he'll take away a lot of TV time and make himself look like the GOD he thinks he is !!! Sorry for anyone wanting to hear my full opinion on HHH check out the thread on him vs the internet world !!!

Anyways it's a bad idea ! he'll jerk his own ego before anything else and make everyone else look stupid, it's gonna definitely hurt the younger and future stars of the business !!!

Also, just to note, I'm saying it'll be years until this might happen...

More like decades..Heck, Funk and Flair are still doing it..but ya I see Triple H either backstage and thas that..I have doubts he'll do the whole GM thing..cause he wont last...until this man becomes heel again Triple H is nothing..look at the crap they have now..one of the best buildups I've seen in a long time has become a massive flop at the grandest stage of them all..and now theres a new variable in the equation..either this is poor story writing, or they should've just ended the storyline at Wrestlemania, draft legacy to SD and call it a day...

I agree with the others though, Triple H is apart of the family bandwagon..he'll be around for the ride...

I think a large part of being the boss and taking Vince's roll is getting your arse handed to you regularly. For that reason, HHH could never be a good GM.

I don't think Vince is going to relinquish an ounce of power until he dies or just becomes too imcompetent to function in everyday life. As for what Triple H will do, Im not sure about GM. He may end up as the top agent working with guys on their in-ring work. Yeah Vince has taken some of his ideas but has rejected some as well. It will be interesting to see if Steph is more receptive or not of some of his ideas. Im not sure what he will do because he maybe trusted by the McMahons, but he still has minimal power in comparison.

Triple H's prime was from Royal Rumble 2000 (vs Mic Foley) - When he tore his quad the first time in 2001..... Nobody ever disputed Triple H's position at the top during those times. Nepotism never came into it because deep down everybody considered Triple H to be the top guy in the business (like Orton is now). That's why it was perfectly believable when he beat Steve Austin cleanly at No Way Out 2001.
He's been living off that status ever since & overstayed his welcome during the Evolution days. I predict everybody will be booing him like Cena got booed at WM 22 because he's been force fed to us for too long.

He will need to leave wrestling for YEARS in order to return in a GM role because the wrestling world needs a break from him... BIG TIME!

Helmsley hasn't been in his prime since 2001 (the year of his first quad tear). This is not to say his work is bad, but look at his work from 1999-2001 and you will see a huge difference. Especially when you take into account that his second quad tear (in 2007) happened when he was well into his late 30's. While I do feel he's very much nearing the twilight of his physical abilities he is still able to tell good stories from time to time. In the future I do believe he will play a bigger backstage role in terms of booking and direction (If he doesn't already) but until Vinnie Mac is either dead of has dementia the final say will always come back to VKM.

It's true, the first quad tear took a lot out of him and the second one certainly didn't do him any favors. Don't get me wrong, the guy is still in tremendous shape but I honestly can't say if he's really past his prime. For example, some have said the same thing about the Undertaker over the past several years, but I certainly can't tell it by his appearance or in-ring work. In terms of physical conditioning, he's probably in better shape now than when he was 25 years old.

It's hard for me to tell by watching him in the ring if Triple H has lost a step because he wrestles the same match most of the time. I'm not knocking him or anything, he just has a repetetive style so it's hard to look at the guy and gauge if he's not as athletic as he used to be. If he added some new moves to his arsenal, it might be easier to judge overall. That being said, it's also possible that he purposely works the way he does just to keep anyone from knowing whether or not he's losing a step. Once more, I'm not knocking the guy, but he does hog the spotlight quite a bit and it certainly looks as though he's going to use his power to surpass Ric Flair's 16 World Championship total, at least as recognized by the WWE. My point with that comment is that Triple H is someone constantly thinking about doing what he can to keep his spot, his high profile position within the company itself. As for when he hangs up the boots, who can say? In order to be a successful heel promoter in the same sense that most of the McMahon family has played at varying points over the past 12 years or so, Triple H would have to routinely get his ass handed to him and I don't know if he'd let that happen to himself. A guy with as much power in the industry as Triple H does, or is at least as connected as he is, has to have a good sized ego.
