Tournament Idea

Since the sports stadium isnt that popular in WZ forums, a good way to promote it is with a tournament.

Have a tournament to find out the greatest sports team ever. What do you think?

Sounds like a good idea, but it would descend into homerism so quickly it would be pointless. It wouldn't be objective at all. Plus, we already have about 12,00000000 tournaments as it is.

I actually had an idea for a WZ World Series, but 487 procrastinated and it never materialized. But X is right. Too many people would fight over Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, Chicago etc...for being the best sports teams or even sports city ever. It would just be redundant and people would say fuck it.

Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, Jerry Rice...could be good.

I see what you mean with the homerism but a true sports fan, would appreciate a team that hate still had one of the best teams ever.

I am a huge Red Sox fan and hate the Yankees but I would not vote for the Yankees just because I hate them.

I like the athlete idea as well, and I think that could work also.

And to whoever is running the tournament I will gladly help in any way possible.

MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, CFL, Aussie Rules, AFL, NCAA Football, Basketball, Baseball, Olympic teams, English Premier, World Cup, even Cricket is in it.

The only problem is the difference in sports cultures on this board. Americans won't vote for aussie rules teams or "soccer", Brits won't vote for anything outside of europe, Australians will stick to their sports and it will likely develop into a "bashing other sports tournament"
