Just as the title says, in your own opinion what are your top five favorite/best intercontinental title matches of all time and why. now remember this is just in my opinion so lets go.

5. The British Bulldog Vs. Bret Hart. SummerSlam 1992
This was match of pride and respect as it was brother vs brother-in-law and boy was it great. Both men were on the top of their game with great wrestling sequences, quick covers and crisp moves. While Bret's sister and also bulldogs wife sat in the crowd not knowing who to cheer for just added more to the match. The crowd was in to it from to start to finish and erupted when bulldog won. And to my recollection was the first time the intercontinental title ever main event a ppv by itself.

4. Cactus Jack Vs. Randy Orton Hardcore Match. Backlash 2004
In my opinion this is the best intercontinental match and hardcore match of the decade. Even thou many of you probably don't remember this being for the intercontinental as is was more about the feud but it was and boy was it a doozy. This is one of the most brutal matches of all time as both were taking some sick spots left and right with Orton finally prevailing. As Mick Foley (who was in tremendous shape might I add) put over another star like he has done countless times before.

3. Shawn Michaels Vs. Razor Ramon Ladder Match. Wrestlemania X 1994.
Now this was a hard one as i was tossing up between this and my number 2 as to which one goes where but i decided to put this one here. Now this Match is nothing short of phenomenal as it was one of the first of its kind, the first time on ppv a ladder match. This was something revolutionary at the time and these two stole show. As Shawn was bumping like a motherfucker everywhere while Razor was just throwing him everywhere and it was great. Its considered one of the best matches ever and is only one of 4 matches in the WWE to receive five stars of the Wrestling Observer and its well deserving of so.

2. Mr Perfect Vs. Bret Hart. SummerSlam 1991
If theres ever match thats 100% perfect (pun intended) this is it. everything top to bottom of this match screams classic as its one of the best ever. Both men putting on an clinic and set the world on fire. not one botch move everything done with perfection (again pun intended) with an awesome finish. While Stu and Helen Hart looked on as their son Bret Hart would walk away as the prestigious intercontinental champion in this absolute must see classic.

Now its time for number one and if you said Umaga Vs Santino then you are..... just an idiot, just an idiot. Now for all seriousness here is, in my opinion the best intercontinental title match of all the times.

1. Rick Steamboat Vs. Randy Savage. Wrestlemania III 1987
How could it be any other match, considered by many to be the best ever and they are spot on. If you haven't seen this then have u been living under a freaking rock? Randy "Macho Man' Savage and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat decided to each other to put on the best match and they did just that. Theres not much i can say that hasn't already been said bout this match as its just that damn good its crazy. if u haven't seen this match definitely check it out because in my opinion its the best ever.

Now thats my list so whats yours?

Can't argue with you on 2 of your choices...here are mine.

5. Piper vs. Mountie-Royal Rumble 92-Not really the match, but the fact that finally Piper was given a much deserved title.

4. Ultimate Warrior vs. Hulk Hogan WM VI-granted this one was remembered as a World title match, but it was title vs. title. The two biggest faces of that era sqaured off in an epic battle for the ages...come to think of Hulk Hogan would have looked really stupid as the IC Champ, probably for the best that the Warrior won that match...however, I always felt that Vince should have had the 2 wrestle again and Hogan should have got to beat the Warrior since he helped to make him a star.

3. Henning vs. Hart-Summer Slam 91-This was just the beginning to the greatest SS of all time. Later that night was the tag title match of LOD vs. Nasty Boys (streetfight rules), loser spends night in NYPD jail match of Mountie vs. Boss Man, Million Dollar Title Match DiBiase vs, Virgil, the main event of Hogan, Warrior vs. Slaughter, Adnan, and Shiek, then Undertaker/Roberts crashing Savage/Elizabeth's wedding, ah the good ole days!

2. Ravishing Rick Rude vs. the Ultimate Warrior WM V-IMO Rick Rude along with Curt Henning was the greatest IC champ of all time. Loved how Hennan and Rude outsmarted the dumbass Warrior for the belt. Jesse Ventura getting off on the Warrior losing was also classic! I hated the Warrior, but I did like his entrance.

1. Steamboat vs. Savage-how could anyone not have this one at number 1? Andre/Hogan was the attraction but Steamboat/Savage stole the show. I remember thinking as a kid that Steamboat was really in trouble when Savage hit him in the throat with the bell.
