To Watch or Not to Watch...

Forgive my ignorance, but who's AJ? Is this like another rehash for Savage/Elizabeth, or are we talking more like Lita/Kane/Edge?

AJ is a psycho, hot diva in a nutshell.

The wedding will be like neither, if anything the wedding will be done to get Daniel Bryan a ton of heat and considering how great a heel Bryan has been lately it should be something good to watch.

Not big on Danielson. Never really was. Watched him quite a bit in the ROH heyday when Punk, McGuinness, etc. were still there. Always thought he was boring. When I hear people trash Bret Hart for not having a personality (something I don't at all agree with) but then praise a guy like Danielson, it boggles my mind. Then again, maybe ol' BD/DB found himself something to really work with by means of personality since then.

I used to feel the same way about Danielson but don't anymore. Over the last 6 months he has shown quite a bit of personality and good promo work, I think he has molded himself into one of the best heels in wrestling today personally.

Do what I always do. Record it and watch it the next day with the option of skipping shit you don't care about.

I do that the night of, Coco. I just watch an hour or so after it's begun, that way even if I'm fast-forwarding through a lot of crap, I can still get to what I'd like to see without ever ending up back on the live feed.

Watch it, IDR. It's going to be an awesome historical night for wrestling fans. If you're not sure what you'd like about it there's always the option of DVR'ing it and then fast forwarding if you aren't interested in a match/segment. I personally plan on watching the entire thing other than maybe the divas parts.... I wish I didn't have to close at work tonight, but I'll be watching my recording of it the instant I am back home.

It's a three hour Raw. They'll find a way to bore the fuck out of me. In that I have faith.

There's absolutely no doubt about that. But there's no show that can provide a guarantee of scintillating, on the edge of your seat action for the entire three hour broadcast, and I'm sure tonight won't either. But there's going to be way more good than bad, something that can't always be said for the shows from either company. Everyone will be bored with certain segments, but that is inevitable.

I'll settle for not thinking the majority of most WWE shows suck. I don't need to be on the edge of my seat for three hours.

You might want to delay it for at least 2 hours then as there will be a lot of shit to sit through

There won't be much wrestling but that doesn't bother me.

I haven't watched RAW since before Wrestlemania, I'm considering it tonight in the hope that they'll actually begin the major summer story tonight. If that's not the case, I won't be watching again for some time.

The worst that can happen is a shitty show that validates your opinion of WWE. You have nothing to lose.

I'm pretty sure tonight's show is going to be nearly ALL nostalgia. And I don't really hold taht against them for once. Raw 1,000 is a party not just for the fans but for all the guys on the roster and the people that help put the show on every week. It really is a giant accomplishment to put on 1,000 episodes of 2-3 hour productions. It's just unreal to think about all the moments of the last nearly 20 years...

So for once I won't hold it against them if they go a little bit crazy with the cheesy backstage segments, or don't include a handful of under-card stars on the current roster. I feel like nights like this aren't really about "wrestling" or pushing the future talents. It'd be nice to see CM Punk actually walk out with the WWE Championship instead of another inevitable Cena win. But outside of that I'm just looking forward to a good time, seeing a lot of old faces, and marking out when everybody and their mother makes a "surprise" appearance.

I'm holding out for an appearance from the "Nature Boy", personally...

Little late to be starting a major summer story, isn't it?

Exactly what it did. I didn't even fast-forward. It was pretty awful from start to finish, IMO. WWE has become fuckin' Home Shopping Network.

I tried, man. I did. Back to TNA.

The only real moment I was all that excited about was the Pac, Gunn, Dogg reunion with DX.

The Punk heel turn was solid. Unexpected and out of nowhere, but still pretty good.

I guess I don't know enough about the story to care. Plus it had Big Sloth in it, and I can't stand him. I've hated him ever since he debuted in WCW.

The problem with this week's show is that it was too busy trying to appeal to nostalgia and non-wrestling fans. Those familiar with the current WWE product got a few bits, including the Triple H/Steph/Heyman segment and the Punk heel turn, but there wasn't a lot of wrestling matches, and most of the segments were purely for the sake of entertainment.
