TNA's Future and Possible Sale Reportedly "Coming to a Head"

It's Damn Real!

The undisputed, undefeated TNA &
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the situation regarding a potential sale of TNA Wrestling is “coming to a head”, and “people in the know have been saying that it’s closer than it’s been in awhile.”

TNA has been trying to sell a stake in the company for awhile now, and they specifically want a deal in which Dixie Carter could remain as TNA President.

Aroluxe Marketing, with which The Harris Twins are involved, have been working with TNA on the production side and are minority owners.

Dave Meltzer said TNA is in a situation where some sort of sale could be close, and added it’s unknown who the potential buyer is.

As a fan, frankly, I just want this buy/sell, Dixie, Billy, Aroluxe, Harris Bros, etc. shit to finalize already. It needs to be over. It's so god damned confusing as to who is in charge, who does what, who is responsible for what, etc. and all this chaos is orbiting a product that's actually worth watching IMO and is seriously distracting from it because it's all so unresolved.

I really hope they're sold to a proper investor who subsequently issues a proper org chart to explain away all of the above. Get this all settled so the focus can go back to the product and away from the business-related chaos still orbiting it.

The issue I would have as an investor is that there are already two minority owners in the company, we know Dixie wants to keep atleast 51% so that she can remain in power, so that leaves the question of just how much of the company is up for grabs at this point and would it even be profitable to invest. Even if Corgan and arroluxxe only own 20% between them that only leaves 29% up for grabs. To me, that's just not a viable stake to invest a large amount of money in, and most investors with the deep pockets that TNA needs are probably going to look at it in the same manner.

The important thing is that the sale creates an influx of capital so that with the new money TNA can spend more to improve their product.

Whether it's better sets, being able to do things like Final Delection but more often and with a greater variety, hire more and better talent and maybe even go on the road.

The last three years TNA has taken a beating in the public eye cause they have regressed a a whole in a number fields so much that some people even dare to say that ROH has surpassed them just cause they do more house shows. Yet the ROH marks don't realise that their favorite company would never be able to afford Bennett and Moose on their new contracts. Gee I wonder why. Cause TNA still makes more money.

I hope in the future they bring back 4sided ring. Just watched the Hardys match, by using the 4 sided ring made it better compare if they use 6 side ring.

Other thing - it great if they reintroduce fireworks at the start of the show.

My big hopes, is they don't think too big, and focus on properly paying talents first and foremost, the bounced checks or missed compensations over the last few years have cost them world class talents.

They're going in the right direction right now though, between the Decay and the Broken Hardys, TNA's been talked about more in the past month than it has been since Hogan/Bischoff took over.

In the long run, Dixie is still in control though, so it really has me worried

Here is my thing, and I am NOT saying I am write when it comes to Dixie being in control, but TNA in the past few months has been the best it has been in a while. It is getting mainstream press, and the WWE just copied one of their segments. (When is the last time that happened? And some may argue that WWE had theirs planned prior as well, but TNA executed first so in my eyes, it is copied)

Through all of this, Dixie has still been in control. When Panda was footing the bill, Dixie spent like crazy and really didn't have to worry about learning how to run a company. She had daddy's money. When that money dried up, she had growing pains, but I really believe she has finally started turning the corner.

If I have several million dollars I would invest right now without needing control. I'm sure I'm not in the majority on this, but if I would do that, I'm sure someone else with money would.

In an ideal world, Panda would see that Dixie is turning it around, and pump some cash into it, because another few years on this track, they would be making their money back.

If it is sold, I'd love for it to be to a Mark Cuban type that is involved, but also knows to keep people that know what they are doing in place.

It would be funny as shit to find out WWE was funding them, just enough to keep them afloat, since only ROH has enough of a TV deal to be competition besides TNA. Without any kind of opposition, WWE would be over-saturating the market and they would REALLY lose more in the ratings.

Think about it, don't you think by now Vince could have bought out TNA and also ROH? He bought out everyone else..... He bought WCW didn't he? Then he realized how bad it hurt his ratings - AND his pocketbook. No competition = stale product (which is what's going on now).

The Hardys should also invest in TNA, that way they can put more of their ideas into the product

Vince bought WCW because AOL-Time Warner didn't want anything to do with wrestling and were desperate to sell WCW off.

I doubt either RoH or TNA has any connection to WWE. If they were, then WWE would've let some RoH guys or some X-Division guys be in the Cruiserweight tournament.

I'm still not sold on that whole deal there. Especially with James Storm going back and forth between the two companies. Who the hell is he? Brian Pillman?

I'm just saying, don't you think if the "Billionaire Vince" or "Millionaire Vince" wanted to, don't you think he could have bought out both TNA and ROH by now? So..... why hasn't he?

Of course he can buy TNA, ROH, or any other wrestling promotion. But I don't think that there is any need for Vince to buy these promotions. He has immense talent up there in WWE and he doesn't need to spend more money on TNA or ROH as he is already gaining decent profit via WWE.

He can but why does he need to?

The only way a tna sale could change something is if it a majority sale and a minority sale because love it or hate it, dixie carter as been a cancer in tna. Not because of her attitude but more because of her lack of wrestling knowledge. The women doesn't want to do what is needed to make her company succesful and sadly we see the results today. Look at how succesful tna was back in 2007/2008 when you had wrestling peoples on the booking team, 8 years later and were back to square one and that's because she took everybody that knew what would work in wrestling today and got guys with no wrestling experience. Whoever buy tna won't change anything long run because they won't have the power to make the change needed to help the company grow.

^^ The last part of your post might be correct. OR......... they would just CLEAN HOUSE and say 'out with the old and in with the new'.

For TNA's future the investor(s) interested in buying need to have some sort of passion for the business or a background in it.

This 'sale' could also get complicated, it still seems that Dixie Carter isn't going anywhere whether it's holding onto a majority stake or having it written into the contract that she remains on screen.

It wouldn't surprise if either or both Corgan & Aroluxe sell their stake as part of the deal.
