TNA Twitter Stunt with AJ Styles?

Shadow of Darkness

Occasional Pre-Show
Hell Yeah,

Ok man... Now TNA is doing some cool work in promoting AJ Styles through Twitter.

Bryan Edwards, one of TNA's producers, met with AJ Styles today but according to him, the meeting did not go well. He posted the following on his official twitter account:

"Found @AJStylesOrg today. It did not go well. Worked with him for 5 years now and have never had him act like he did today. #disappointed"

Its second time now that AJ has disappointed someone in TNA management by his behavior. It should be interesting to see how the writers go about his return.

Hell Yeah.

very cool, happy they went with something more subtle as opposed to it being tweeted by Dixie or Hogan, very interested to see what they do with AJ when he comes back. It seems to be shaping up to be a heel return which I would personally love to see. AJ needs to get innovating again!

well it looks like we are going to see a heel AJ return which im 100 % keen for and still storyline he's in is also just great.

don't drop the ball tna

Whether he comes back as a face or heel I wouldn't mind he just needs to come back and please please tna don't put him in the aces and 8s that is what I think they will do and I hope it doesn't happen as my god I mean its not like the aces and 8s are big and they can't even win matches so aj in the group wouldn't hp atall

I don't mind if he comes back either face or heel, but I think I would prefer to see him come back as part of Aces & Eights because they need some name value in that group for sure. The likes of Devon, Knox and Doc just aren't good enough for people to buy into the group as a legitimate threat.

However, I do like the idea of one of the earlier posters in this thread, about Styles portraying a "Sting" type character, no-one knowing which side he is on.

I just want to see him back mainly, TNA isnt TNA without the Phenomenal One. Whatever role he comes back with, I hope it freshens up his character and TNA actually use him right on his return. He needs to be back in the main event picture, I would love to see a Styles v Aries feud

It's already the best thing AJ has been involved with for a while now. I remember the triple threat match he was in recently for the number one contender ship of the TNA heavyweight title. James Storm won that match but more emphasis was placed on the fact that AJ couldn't compete for the world title for a whole year. An immediate personality shift followed and it seemed like it fitted Styles and his position in the company, it was written well to him.

Now people are talking about him when he isn't there, and that's how you know how important you are. AJ hasn't done anything important for a couple of years now, but this could thrust him back to the world title scene, and it would be fresh again as it's been a good while. And I agree with The Naitch, AJ Styles (over absolutely everybody) is the quintessential TNA wrestler. He's been the definition of TNA from his X division journey up until being world champion, he's always been the backbone.

It's always good to see AJ Styles in TNA because he's one of the most gifted in-ring competitors of all time, and he's TNA through-and-through. When he's working there it's in the plus column for TNA, and you can guarantee passion and really good matches. I want to see him back and this route seems like it'll bring him back in a big way. Excited to see how it unfolds.

As for the source -> http://www.tnasylum.com/2013/02/aj-styles-disappoints-tna-producer.html

I found it interesting enough, because I have some feeling that he will return as the savior of TNA from Aces and 8s. He will not go heel, he will portray the character that Sting portrayed during nWo invasion.

Hell Yeah.

I can give ya a HELL YEAH on that one too, AJ can play a great face and maybe we just needed a lil less of him in order for him to come back , perhaps as it would seem, edgier !

TNA or total non stop acting is absolute garbage at its finest. but when it comes to AJ Styles, he is the only reason why i watch it like twice a year. anyways, hope they dont drop the ball for all those TNA fans out there.
if you feel that way , why would you even read this post. you say you like AJ, but it takes two to put on memorable matches (or three if you think about his considered finest work with samoa joe and christopher daniels)

Yah... man... just hoping that Prichard doesnt drop the ball. But you know what, without AJ, IMPACT seems somewhat strange. I mean I have been following for years now starting from 2006, and I really feeling something is missing from IMPACT. May be AJ, may be edge-factor. But IMPACT is more becoming like the E now a days, and we cant complain about that, because the creative head was an E employee for 15 years. Prichard is good but he is not at all unique. Hope the creative has some best things for AJ.

I wouldn't mind AJ coming back to revive the TAG TEAM DIVISION, we are starting to now see them rebuild the division to try and recapture the magic between 08? - 2010. I began watching in 08-09 and was always blown away and kept coming back for more of the beer money, MCMG, Gen Me, occasional fortune combos, and Ink Inc. There were some simply amazing matches put on during this time and yearn for the days of this coming back. AJ could be the man to do it , though I feel he would be best suited for reviving the X- Division or tag division it seems he may go straight to the main event scene. TNA officials should notice that after claire lynch and the floundering around with the whole Kaz/Daniels matches over and over , we the viewers need something fresh and edgier with AJ!

I love the whole Sting Idea as I don't want to see AJ returning just to help save TNA from the Aces and Eight's and I don't want to see him join them either. Sure having him as a member of the group would give Aces and Eights the big name that they really need, But AJ has always been a better face then a heel and I don't think the fans would really buy into him being a member of the group. If TNA were to bring him back as sort of Randy orton (don't play well with others) type of character, then it would allow Styles to remain a Heel and be a lot edgier and daker at the same time.

I dont think, based on the vignettes we saw last night we'll see AJ "Return to save the company" I personally think he wont be the leader of Aces and 8's but i do believe he will be someone they try to persuade, ala anderson.
