TNA Turning Point LD

NSL

Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
Will AJ retain his title against his biggest rival and closest friend? Will we find out his attacker?

Will the Beautiful People win all the KO gold?

Will Kong or Tara be the brawl we're expecting, or simply "filler"?

Will the MCMG finally win gold in TNA, or will the Brits get their act together to retain? Don't forget Beer Money, coming into this match with a score to settle.

Desmond Wolfe is awfully hungry...Will he suppress his appetite with a win over Angle, or will Angle fight off the newcomer?

Amazing Red has been flashy, winning, and then defending, his belt in a multi-man matches. How will he fare one-on-one with Homicide?

D'Angelo Dinero surprised us all by stepping up to join SuperMex and the Blueprint...Will they gel as a team, or will the experienced team of Team 3D and Rhino stave off the youngsters, in a deluded attempt at securing their jobs?

Scott Steiner has pushed all of Lashley's buttons lately, trying to steal his wife, and then attacking him in the hotel room. Will Lashley figure a way to outsmart the veteran, or will Big Poppa Pump make Kristal one of his freaks?

Tune in tonight! Be sure to click the sig, and make your opinions known!

Will Hogan actually be there for a change?

I read somewhere (I don't recall exactly, perhaps WZ), that he won't be debuting until the new year. Wants to "survey the landscape".

Basically, find out where to fuck it up, or cut his losses.

So let me get this straight.

The "biggest move in wrestling history" is going to actually kick in over two months after it's announced, meaning that all the heat that was built up for it will be gone and Hogan's impact will still be big but not as huge as it could have been?

You read that correctly. Unless it's all a swerve, and he's the man attacking AJ Styles.

I would probably hang myself from a tree, so don't expect me to ever return to the forums if they do that.

How ticked off would you be if that happened?

I'm working tonight, so chances are I'd smash a work computer, leave, get hammered, and drive my car off a cliff.

I'd be sure to ask an Admin to just delete the TNA section, since no one would be around to watch Impact Thursday.

Why would Hogan attacking Styles be such a bad thing?

My first reaction when I heard the news was "Please don't have AJ drop the belt to him..."

Hogan should not walk in and be champ. He shouldn't be walking anyway, but that's neither here nor there. He needs to stay out of the ring, but I know he's going to step between the ropes, and hopefully he doesn't break a hip or something.

It would just be bad...Bad for Hogan, bad for AJ, and horrifying for the future of TNA.

Well yeah I've been saying that since the beginning. If this does turn out to really hurt TNA, I'll be expecting a lot of "KB was right" being said around here, because there was one person that wasn't saying how great this was, and he uses a Link avatar.

You guys are high on paint thinner if you think Hogan is going to come in and become the World Champion. He's not that stupid.

I've agreed with you since the start. I like the Bischoff signing, but Hogan just makes me uneasy.

I hope not...For TNA's sake.

The thing is, he did it before, and while I know that was 15 years ago, my issue is that that was 15 years ago. Hogan is someone that strikes me as a person that would think it's the same today as it was then. For the sake of the guys that have worked to make TNA what it is today, I hope not.

I won't transform into D-Von again, but I totally agree.

Except when it happened 15 years ago it not only made perfect sense but it was one of the greatest things to ever happen to WCW and catapulted them to the spotlight ahead of the WWE.

I doubt Hogan wins the TNA world title, ever. I'd be willing to bet on that.

Would it really be any worse than Foley winning the TNA title NSL?

Yes, yes it would be. Foley has never been the focal point of any promotion. He's been a transitional champion all of his career and has never seemed like he wanted to be the main guy. Hogan on the other hand made himself the main guy when the fans were leaving in droves because they were so tired of him.

Do you really think Hulk Hogan is going to center the entire company around himself KB? After resigning top talent like AJ Styles to multiyear deals and focusing on young talent, and all of these improvements, they're going to center it all around Hogan? Come on, they are not that stupid, especially Bischoff.

I hope you're right, X...But I won't be sold on it until we see him in the Impact Zone.

Are you sure X? Think back to WCW around 98-2000. To say Hogan wasn't well liked is the understatement of all time, yet he was always around the title or champion. he just wouldn't let it go and he kept putting himself as the centerpiece instead of the young guys that were getting all the adoration from the crowd.

I'm ashamed to say that I'm actually looking forward to this card. If any of the following matches disappoint, I'll be surprised:

Kurt Angle vs. Desmonde Wolfe
Joe/Styles/Daniels II
Amazing Red/Homicide
That three way tag match with Hernandez in it (it has Hernandez in it!)
The tag title match

It's a shame that there's no way in hell I'm going to stay up to watch it.

I see you started the party without me. Sad Gelgarin.

Anyway, my picks for this evening are;

SIX MAN TAG TEAM MATCH: 3D and Rhino will go over, but not clean. They've just turned, and the heel void in the company means that they need to be elevated ASAP. A face champion has all but stalled Morgan and Supermex, so they can tick over in neutral for a couple of months.

TNA KNOCKOUTS TAG MATCH: ALL TITLES ON THE LINE: Sooner or later the Beautiful People are winning the Knockouts gold and having an extended championship reign. I've been calling it every time the tag belts have been on the line, and I'm doing the same tonight. Lacey Von Eric pins Sarita after hitting her with the ugly stick. Lame.

6 SIDES OF STEEL MATCH: Tera is in no way as good as people think she is. Anyone hoping for something the quality of Kim/Kong or Wilde/Kong will be disappointed. Still, they're putting up a cage for these two and they've been building this match for months which suggests that they'll be given time to work. Kong should go over here.

X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Amazing Red is going to retain the X-Division championship because of the restorative powers of Don West, and then that dirty Mexican Homicide is going to steal it. That's right people, you heard it here first, belt stealing angle. In fairness it's almost two years since they played that card.

REVENGE MATCH: In a well organised world Krystal Lashly would turn on her husband because he can't satisfy her like The Big Bad Booty Daddy can... but I don't see it happening. Lashley will go over in a short match to continue his freight train to nowhere.

TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: I say that the Brits retain in a strong match. The smart thing to do will be to relaly hype the fact that the Guns have failed to win the straps again, which builds them into a future title program and elevates the pop when they finally do win them. Looking forward to this.

CHALLENGE MATCH: This program has been fantastic, and far and away the best push any wrestler has received in the past decade. That being said, it has to end tonight. Kurt Angle has been left for dead four nights in a row, and unless he's taking time off for something I don't know about then he needs the victory.
Actually, if Kurt Angle is the mystery attacker then he can potentially job here, but I don't see it as very probable.

TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Will we see the mystery attacker? I don't think so. Whoever is attacking AJ needs to totally fuck him over when they reveal themselves, and you can't do that without having him drop the strap... which I don't think they're going to do.
AJ retains, probably in controversial circumstances I'm sorry to say. Should be all right, but I'm not expecting this match to steal the show.
