TNA/MMA Cross-Promotion

Well i just made this thread because a while ago i said that tna should and probably would do a cross promotion with a mma company. I mentioned that they should probably work with a smaller company such as bellator fighting championship. I started writing a sarcastic post congratulating you on your first time being right on the internet, since most people don't feel it merits a whole new thread based on an old thread that no one remembers but yourself. Then I actually read the link. If you're going to make a thread about how right you were, for the love of God, don't make your 'proof' thread have such a thin premise.

The Bellator CEO did commentary on a SpikeTV taping. Considering that no one knows or cares who he is right now, I can tell you the contents of that commentary without seeing it- it's self promotion for Bellator appearing on SpikeTV in the near future. Joe Rogan announced that TNA had signed Hulk Hogan during a UFC event- was this a UFC/TNA cross promotion?

The rest of what you have to go on is a dirt sheet writer saying "expect more collaboration in the future", for which we have absolutely zero reason to believe that beyond his say-so. That wasn't a statement from SpikeTV, from Bellator, or even the kid that delivers the Poland Spring water down in Orlando.

I don't think that the worlds of professional wrestling and MMA would blend to the point where a storyline-related cross-promotion would be beneficial for anyone, and it certainly looks like that's what you're trying to imply is happening, despite having no evidence for that. I don't have a strong opinion on the matter; it's their money if they want to blow it.

Well dumbass, its a very reliable site and why don't u read the rest of the news they report on there. The fact is i said it was a good idea and it got shot down and they are going to cross-promote with them. I'm also saying glad im right and also glad they are doing it. Everyone on here thinks they know shit and guess wat u dont bc tna is doing something that will help both companies. Like i said they should and now are going to work with bellator. A small mma company on mtv and both will get exposure. More than likely there will be an angle with a fighter and a wrestler at some point in time. Think bout it kurt angle is training for the olympics and they cross promoting wth bellator. If kurt wins anything why wouldnt do a angle with one of there champs and kurt angle. It would give credit to both companies. Oh and btw i am implying that it will happen mark my words it will prob be kurt angle vs a bellator fighter.

Classy. Look, I'll tell you this: this thread is garbage. Your opinion is also garbage. I know it's your opinion, and you're entitled to it. Be happy with it. Be happy with garbage.

However, if you start a whole thread about garbage, and then someone disagrees with your garbage, and you start your next post with "Well dumbass ..." and and it with "..mark my words" this and that will happen, it stops being just a pile of garbage. It's a pile of garbage on a hot hot hot summer afternoon.

No it will not happen, no wrestling and MMA will never have a cross-promotion, because if they do then you might as well do a cricket/wrestling cross-promotion because they have just as much in common and it's going to fail worse than All Wheels Wrestling.

Wrestling is staged, MMA is real, your opinion is garbage. Just because you think something will happen or want something to happen doesn't mean it's going to happen. Those are your little fantasies, they are your views, your ideas, your fictional bullshit, and in case you forgot - they're all garbage. Now school me on the future of the pro wrestling industry.

Cross promoiton would be stupid. If I wanted to watch MMA or UFC I would watch it, most people who watch wrestling know that it is staged. There is no way to cross promote it because if TNA puts a wrestler agianst an MMA star and the wrestler loses in a fight then TNA just made their star look weak, and if TNA wins the mma star looks weak. If they do it TNA style then people might think that MMA is staged, and they would lose all they work for. TNA tried this remember Kurt Angles friend I can't remember his name but he fought AJ Styles. It was a stupid match that did no one any favors. PLAIN AND SIMPLE BAD IDEA!!!

I have no doubt that the CEO of Bellator appeared on commentary briefly on a TNA program. That was the actual reporting of the article. What I'm questioning is that the statement that we should expect more in the future automatically implies that there will be a storyline-driven promotion between TNA/IW and Bellator. That is the writer's speculation.

I just want you to remember that you are saying this based off of one internet writers opinion based on a short bit of commentary with a person no one knows. One day, you'll grow up, you'll look around you and you'll see everyone calling you an idiot (or 10%er) for what you know in your heart and brain is right, and you'll realize that proving a lot of idiots on the internet wrong is not really that big of a deal.

Hopefully when that day occurs, you'll have a stronger premise to stand on with the argument making than "some guy on the internet thinks".
