TNA/Impact Wrestling Presents 'Destination X' 2013 — Can Sabin Win the World Title?

Don't know if I'll watch it live but not for a moment do I think Chris Sabin leaves TNA World Heavyweight Champion. I've always loved him, he's doing well with his push but he just isn't the next guy in line and if they pull the trigger It'll be ballsy and I'll admire their courage.

As for the X-Division title design... yeah, wow.

Sabin winning could be quite the upset, similar to when they put over Aries last year. Might seriously boost the ratings (not that I pay much attention to them — at least not consistently), even if it's an artificial shot to the arm.

I can't see the title sticking with him long, though, which makes him something of a lame duck champion who's just going to get dethroned in a few weeks... again.

I've seen this comparison today and seen it shot down. When Aries became champion everyone felt he was ready, him winning it wasn't the shock, it was him beating Roode for it who'd had such a lengthy title reign. Ray only won it a few months back and has been made to look real strong and whoever beats him for it needs to be ready, and Sabin just isn't on that level yet.

Maybe if they give it to him It'll be shock everyone needs to take him more seriously as a big contender.

Sonjay Dutt being included is very odd considering he's working with ROH early next month.

Homicide is still out of shape, this could be the final time he appears for TNA considering he retires at the end of the year - or so he says.

Trent Barreta has been tearing shit up wherever he goes. Went to NJPW, stole the show. Dragon Gate, stole the show. PWG, stole the show. I'm still pissed TNA didn't sign Adam Pearce, but Trent is a must have for any lightheavyweight division.

Rubix was there for one night only last year, so he probably isn't sticking around. He was good value for money though. This Baretta guy has a decent look; I like the absence of ugly tattoos. Spud I am profoundly disinterested in, but I expect him to win on account of him actually being under contract.

Rubix! Fuck yeah. Apparently I have to learn who Trent Barretta is finally. Could be about time.

Same here. Don't think I've seen him wrestle a single match anywhere, let alone WWE. Based on the time line of when I stopped watching, my guess is this guy was part of the show after the fact.

I'm not all that enthralled with any of the competitors as champion, but I need to see this Baretta fella wrestle before I can really weigh in.
