The upcoming welterweights-only sixth season of “The Ultimate Fighter” will air on Wednesdays — not the usual weekly Thursday slot — beginning Sept. 19.

UFCjunkie.com recently confirmed the change with Spike TV.

The past few seasons of the Spike TV reality series have aired on Thursdays, but this season’s debut episode will air Wednesday (Sept. 19) at 11 p.m. ET/PT. Subsequent episodes will air on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

I took that from UFCJunkie.com, just joking, my friend showed it to me. I find this quite interesting because that leaves an hour open. On Spike, virtually no other show gets better ratings for TNA, so does this mean that the two hours are FINALLY confirmed for them, or will Spike give it to another show?

i wouldnt bet on it, wasnt TNA still talking with FOX? and it doesnt seem like a smart move to just give up fox and continue with spike, unless FOX turned them down or something like that O.o

I doubt TNA would get that spot. Spike seems to like putting on new tv shows that never do worth a damn and end up being a failure. TNA needs to go to FOX and take the deal they would get more exposure with FOX being a bigger network.

If they get turned down by FOX then they could have talks about the 2 hour deal on Spike but knowing Spike they would want to try a new show. I don't know it may be just me but It seems like every month theres something new and stupid on there.

I hope TNA finnaly gets a 2 hour deal somewhere but I doubt it will be with Spike but with it bringing in higher ratings they might want to give it a 2 hour timeslot. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

All I know is if TNA wants to keep signing every guy that comes to them with a WWE pink slip, then they definately need to get a two hour slot soon. Too much of their roster is getting little to no TV time. I mean, the X-Division is the main reason TNA started getting super popular, but now they rarely do anything with those guys.

I work at a Fox station here where i live and i havent been notified of anything and our programming manager tells us guys in master control alot bout whats coming to fox. There slots are pretty filed up threw fall. So i dont see TNA going to FOX anytime soon. Id love it though cause then i could actually keep up with tna.

Yea, giving your best rated show a better slot makes no sense. Why would Spike bother? I agree, if they can go with Fox, they should. If not, Spike is the safe option.

As reported previously, apparently FOX would be giving TNA 4 hours, so they should snap the hands of FOX if that apprears to be true, but they definatly do need to have two hours

I agree they need 2 hrs i feel they put to much into a 1 hr show and when i use to watch it i would be lost and not remember what i just watched. But if they put it on FOX the only time i could see it going would be friday or saturday...and 95% of our fox shows on friday get canned....I guess its just a wait and see.As much as id love them to go on Fox so i could watch it though.
