Basically you flick through photos of strangers and decide if you like them or not, judging a book by its cover and turning the courting process into a meat market. If they like you, you can message them. It's quite amusing when you get matches, as you're never going to meet these people so can say ludicrous things, but I'm not good looking enough to get enough responses that I can write ridiculous things often. My mate is, so I spent last night in the pub all over that.
Except it doesn't always give you strangers, it deliberately gives you people you have mutual friends with e.g. my ex's sister. Liked, obviously.
