I have to agree with some on this forum. It does seem that nowadays, its the "cool" thing to hate on anything WWE does. No matter what The E does, you'll still see people complain about it. That's the same thing I said about this year's WM card. No matter what matches WWE would have put on the card, people still would have found something wrong with it. Then I saw some of the suggestions on how to make WM better, and I LMAO. Seriously, you had people saying that Austin and Rock should have faced each other at WM. The same people who bitched about seeing RKO/HHH again, wanted to see Austin vs Rock for the millionth time. Thats the kind of bullshit that annoys me. And then you have people who say that WWE needs to have newer people in the main event title scene. IMO, they are doing that a hell of a lot better today than they did during the Era of Attitude. During the Attitude Era, it was bascially Austin, Rock, Taker, HHH, and Mick Foley. That was basically the main even scene from 98 to the conclusion of the Attitude Era. So why is that nobody complained about that back then? There are more people in the main even scene now, then back then. Nowadays, you have Cena, Batista, Orton, HHH, Edge, Jericho, Mysterio, Big Show, among others. And WWE is also building up future main eventers such as, Swagger, Christian, Kennedy, Morrison, MVP and most likely Miz. And dont even get me started on TNA's main event title scene. Its a complete joke, to say the least. And on top of that, they have Foley as the champ!?! Yet, if WWE has HHH as the WWE champ, then the majority of the so called "fans" will go into complete "bitch-fit" mode. WTF? Then there are some who say that the wrestling back then, was better. I dont think so. B/c back then, McMahon cared more about shock TV than having a good wrestling match. The reason that I made the comparison between 90s WWE and WWE of today, is b/c people for some odd reason, think that WWE of the 90s is like some holy-grail of wrestling. I watched wrestling during the Attitude Era, and it wasnt nearly as perfect as some make it out to be. People say wrestling has changed.... well IMO alot of fans have changed... for the worse. LOL, I actually do somewhat feel bad for Vince. B/c its like damn what do you people want? If he does this, people will complain... if he does that.... people will still complain. WTF!?! I'll admit that WWE isnt perfect, but damn, is not THAT bad. The way some people complain about it, you'd think it was the worst wrestling promotion in history, and McMahon was Satan himself. As I said, WWE isnt perfect, but what wrestling org is? It just seems that nowadays, if it isnt the indies or TNA, then its thought of as being stupid. Seriously, why is that if a person watches only WWE and their favorite wrestler is John Cena, then they are labeled as a "WWE mark" or "WWE Sheep". But if a person only watches ROH and their favorite wrestlers is Bryan Danielson, then thats considered ok? It seems that nowadays, hypocrisy flows throughout the wrestling fan community.
