They say the clothes make the man

Hawkeye

Getting Noticed By Management
I don't think so,but it sure as hell doesn't hurt. Being the superficial person that I am,I believe ring attire is a key component to making a good superstar. If you were a professional wrestler, what kind of threads would you be rockin?

I think traditional attire is the way to go unless your gimmick is really outside the box. For example,I couldn't see Jeff in tights but it worked for Matt because he had a bit more old fashioned mat technique

Then again... I'd hate to wrestle without a gimmick. You need some sort of substance to go on and use that to connect with the crowd.

That's mainly what it's about to me,connecting with the crowd.Without a gimmick you would have to be an amazing in-ring competitor with an over finisher

Leather trousers, boots and a vest/t-shirt with a crazy design and some armbands.

I'd probably go somewhat similar to the punk-y style that Lita had, but that's just because I already have those clothes in my closet now. I have some chunky boots, ripped jeans, tight tanks to show off the tatts on my arms and vintage punk shirts that are strategically ripped. I'd be a naughty little punk girl when it comes to the Friday night commentating duo... ;) more so for striker, that hot piece of ass.
