These are movies I haven't seen: are they good?

Godfather Part II is great.

Requiem for a Dream is overrated. Decent, but its not something that could even be nominated for Best Picture material.

The rest, I haven't seen.

Blade Runner - Excellent film with probably the greatest score of all time (by Vangelis)
Godfather: Part II - Best Godfather of the three.
Panic Room - If you like David Fincher, you will like this film.
Shrek the Third - Nowhere near as good as the first two.
Requiem for a Dream - Not as good as people say it is. Pretty much nothing more than a controversial subject matter and nifty camera shots.
Being John Malkovich - Great film...one of the most original I have ever seen.
Moulin Rouge - I can't stand musicals, so I couldn't give you an objective opinion on this one...Luhrmann is an awesome director though.

Blade Runner

Bit slow, but top rate story if you can get into it, albeit slightly cliche. Excellent visuals and special effects. Worth your time. Give it a 4/5.

Godfather: Part II

All around excellent film. Not really a weak spot to be found. It's worth the hype. Give it a 5/5.

Panic Room

Decent thriller, but there's not terribly much to set it apart from most other suspense thrillers. If you're into the genre, it's worth it. Give it a 3/5.

Shrek the Third

It's a bit more aimed at adults than the others. So if you preferred the kiddie style of the others, this one wouldn't be that great. But if you'd prefer a more intelligent Shrek, this one would be preferable. I preferred 1 & 2 over this, myself. Give it a 2.5/5

Requiem for a Dream

Very intense. Not for the weak. I'm sure that's not a problem for you, though. Great performances, thoughtful film. Makes you think. Give it a 3.5/5.

Being John Malkovich

Very good, very original. Pretty crazy, but that's Kaufman for you. I imagine you'd enjoy it. Give it a 4/5.

Moulin Rouge (I highly doubt it)

The 2001 version, I take it? Somehow I doubt you'd like it, but you may want to give it a go for yourself. I wasn't a fan, but it has raving supporters. Hard to recommend, you may want to just give it a go for the hell of it.

I'd say go for Godfather first, then take your pick out of Bladerunner and Being John Malkovich. Go for whatever you want after.

Panic Room - If you like David Fincher, you will like this film.

I'll watch this then. How's The Game while we're at it?

Shrek the Third - Nowhere near as good as the first two.

Thought as much.

Requiem for a Dream - Not as good as people say it is. Pretty much nothing more than a controversial subject matter and nifty camera shots.

Sounds like I'd like it.

Being John Malkovich - Great film...one of the most original I have ever seen.

Huh.

Luhrmann is an awesome director though.

I'm indifferent to him.

The Game - Eh...a little too long and anti-climactic, but there are plenty of films that you could watch that are way worse. Michael Douglas, as always, is great. I would definitely recommend it if you want to get a hint of Fincher's eventual awesomeness, as this film showed his potential to be a true auteur.

Fincher's Exceptional Films: Zodiac, Fight Club, Se7en
Fincher's Good Films (But Not His Best): Alien 3 (or Cubed), The Game, Panic Room

Jury's still out on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button...seems like people either love it or hate it.

Shrek is poor, Moulin Rouge is good for a musical... pure cheese but not awful. Malkovic is clever (and Cameron Diaz's hair isn't)

Blade Runner
If you're a big fan of sci-fi, you'll probably think it's the greatest movie of all time. If not, then you might not know what to think of it. Great score though.

Godfather: Part II
Even better than the first. Al Pacino is electrifying. Nothing is wrong with this movie.

Panic Room
It's a so-so thriller. Probably David Fincher's weakest endeavor. That or Alien 3 (which I STILL say gets unfair criticisms.)

Shrek the Third
Terrible

Requiem for a Dream
A little overrated, but still worth seeing.

Being John Malkovich
Love it. Very quirky and original. Great screenplay. Great acting, especially by the Johns (Cusack and Malkovich).

Moulin Rouge (I highly doubt it)
Love it. It's fantastic. One of the most vibrant, beautiful, and creative films of the 2000's.

Fincher's Exceptional Films: Zodiac, Fight Club, Se7en

I could have told you that. I'd say they're all in my top 20 films. When Zodiac is your third best film, you know you've got some good shit.

Fincher's Good Films (But Not His Best): Alien 3 (or Cubed)

Unfairly criticised. Good, but not great, but not bad either.

The Game, Panic Room

I hear Panic Room's got some really cool camera work. Shit, it's David Fincher. I've never felt compelled to watch either of them.

Jury's still out on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button...seems like people either love it or hate it.

Out in February 6 in the UK. Don't ruin it.
