You can't please anybody, so some films are missing. Don't bitch about it, does anything other than The Godfather stand a chance anyway? But it's only natural that there are films that are worthy of being in this tournament have missed out. Discuss what tehy are, which film, from which year would you put in etc.

I could do a big list of foreign language films that I would like to see in this thing. Amelie, Battle Royale, City Of God, Oldboy, etc. But the fact is that not many people really care about watching films where you have to read what's being said.

Evil Dead 1 Or 2 - I'm sure if the tournament was bigger there could be a place for one of these, but that just isn't the case. Possibly one of the only sequels that is possibly better than the original.

Heat - Easily a better film than Braveheart.

Donnie Darko - Shit title, but it's one of those films that get's better each time you watch it.

Other - Stand By Me, Edward Scissorhands, L.A. Confidential, Brazil, Carrie, Magnolia, Boogie Nights, Reservoir Dogs, Toy Story 2, Withnail And I and more.

Yeah, there are ALWAYS bubble teams. Amelie and Old Boy were AWESOME films. Edward Scissorhands is an old school classic, Carrie was a trendsetter (though I felt it was a shit movie), and Res. Dogs was phenominal.

Cuckoo's nest has a shot. Schindler's List, Forrest Gump, Goodfellas, Se7en, Fight Club, Clockwork Orange, Halloween. ALL a shot.

Clockwork Orange doesn't have a shot, if this was a book tournament it would, but I always felt that the Clockwork Orange movie never did the book any justice, its like Congo in that aspect. The book is far more riveting and powerful, and when I watched the movie I just felt that certain aspects were left out that made that book special. I often wonder if the moviemakers did that for a reason because perhaps they felt that if the Clockwork Orange movie was made to the full extent of the book, the perhaps it would have been to extreme for the mainstream.

I've already suggested a Beautiful Mind, great storyline, great acting, the movie pulls you in and even when you've figured out what the main characters problem is, your more interested to see how the main character handles his condition rather than watching everyone else react to it.

I kinda wish that some 1960's films were in this, although I know the tournment can't be too big and that most people probably haven't watched alot of 60's films. One film in partiular which also happens to be my favorite film ever, is Psycho. Now that film was a trend setter/started and way ahead of it's times, and is seen as the best thriller/horror movie of all time. But I understand why it wasn't put in.

I think then The Dark Knight would have been a better pick then 300. I mean, TDK has no chance st winning Movie of the year or any thing like that, maybe supporting actor for Heath because his role that got heightened from his death, but personally I believe The Dark Knight is a lot better then 300.

The Dark Knight is a really good film. However, Klunderbunker and Papa Shango made the decision to not include any films from this year. It's a good move, as many people would have blindly voted for a film such as The Dark Knight, and older films will have been voted out early due to this.

Exactly. See, Becca gets it. Besides, even if I HAD decided to allow movies from this year, I STILL wouldn't have included TDK, because I started collecting my lists back in late June, before TDK had even been released.

And I've explained this several times before. Does that keep people from commenting on it? NooooOOOOoooo.

There's been enough Dark Knight talk on the forum already anyway. It's no loss. With the inclusion of 300 though I think it's obvious that this isn't a tournament to find the best movie of all time. It's simply a bit of fun. But that's not going to be obvious to anyone. But as that's the case I wish Transformers had been involved in this. People say it's shit, I'm unsure what people want from a Transformers film. One of the better comedies of 2007.
