Lovable Curmudgeon
I share the opinion that the current WWE title is too flashy. It's just an ugly, childish looking thing and has long since outlived it's original purpose. It's time for a change there.
The design before that wasn't much better, though, when JBL, Eddie or Lesnar were champions. Kinda ugly, too, and old-fashioned looking.
The best WWE title was the one from the attitude era. Great design in its simplicity. Big and round and overall just great looking. The winged eagle belt was great, too, only too small. Take that design, make it as big as the attitude belt, and wow.
The WHC belt on the other hand I love. Classic design, only very subtle changes over the years. Keep it that way!
The Intercontinental belt is a bit of an enigma to me. As a kid I loved the design worn by Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. When daydreaming of becoming a wrestle I wanted to become IC champion, not WWF champion, because the belt looked so cool.
I hated the change to the belt design in the late 90s. And I still hate it to this day. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. But for some reason they're sticking with it. One of the lamest belts ever, and it's a main stay. Ugh.
And then there is the new Tag Titles design. Words fail my there. What the hell were they thinking? Did they figure that since tag teaming is dead, let's give them a belt that reflects that worthlessness?
