The WWE Only Makes 1 Star At A Time?

I've gotten so tired of hearing this argument when it plain just isn't true. While I understand where the argument comes from being as Cena and Orton are both superstars and have been for a while now, people forget about the missing pieces here or maybe I'm missing something?

When Cena and Orton were being built up to be huge stars, 2 other men were as well. Yes the Favored Four or whatever you want to call them:John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge and Batista! Maybe the fact half of them are retired makes people forget about them but these guys were all built up at about the same time. Need proof? Orton won the title at SummerSlam 2004, Cena and Batista both won their first belts at Wrestlemania 2005. To further prove my point, Batista won the title from Triple H who had just won it from Randy Orton half a year prior. Then Cena's first title reign ended due to Edge cashing in on him at New Years Resolution 2006. So in the span of 17 months, the WWE built 4 guys who were to become their building blocks.

You can even make cases for guys like Lesnar who were built up just prior to the Favored Four's rise to the top! Then you include in guys like CM Punk, Jeff Hardy and Daniel Bryan and you realize the WWE has tried but a lot of these guys...left!

Batista was a star for 5 years before he left, and argue all you want that he wasn't, he headline Mania with Taker and Cena in that time frame

Edge was a star for what 5 years before he had to retire due to his neck? He also headlined Mania with Taker, Cena/Big Show, Jericho(which means less now but meant more then), and ADR(a guy they wanted over huge).

Punk left early even though he could have continued being a huge star, Bryan with his returning injury and Hardy with his substance problems.

Suddenly you realize it's not the WWE's fault. Yes I will agree they cannot build people to save their company, but the Cena/Orton thing wasn't entirely their fault.

Fast forward to today and let's see what we have going on right now.

Rollins our current WWE champion. Reigns on the chase after him. Ambrose seems to be getting a main event caliber push. Bray Wyatt has fought Cena and Taker at back to back Manias. And would you look at that, 4 guys who they seem to be pushing to all be at the top spot! Am I missing this or something?

I get that Cena and Orton have insane booking but Orton seems to love losing matches to help build other guys now(see Reigns at SummerSlam 2014 and Rollins at Extreme Rules 2015). While Cena has been horrible in his unwaivering ability to not get off of our TV screens, that's why the WWE liked him to begin with! I just am tired of that argument, yes it made sense before but now it seems like they're at least trying to build multiple stars. So let's lay off till they officially screw this up

why you guys always blame cena. punk and Bryan both beat cena to win their wwe belt. edge wins wwe title against cena. Batista wins at rumble against cena. one thing you guys forget that cena is not running wwe.
wwe afraid of making a wrestler as a huge star. bcoz once they got famous they gone to other company. so they won't trust

I don't get the argument that the WWE is scared to make big stars simultaneously.. if anything they are giving a lot of guys chances right now. I think they've taken a slower approach to making stars by having them climb the ladder rather than become huge on their debut.

If you look at the main feuds right now you get:
Seth Rollins (C) Vs. Roman Reigns Vs. Dean Ambrose Vs. Randy Orton.. thats three relatively new guys in a major match where one of them is already champion and only one veteran is in the match.

Then you have Cena Vs. Rusev w/ Lana... this is a feud which has made Rusev look like a big time heel and also helped build Lana to become a big female star.

Bray Wyatt Vs. Ryback...if you look at both mens pasts than its quite amazing to see what they've done in a matter of a few years. Ryback was a member of the Nexus and has been in a lot of big feuds. Bray Wyatt had huge WM matches 2 years in a row one being against Cena and the other against Undertaker.

Thats like 5 or 6 stars (if you count Ryback) being built up at one time. Sure sometimes it may seem like these guys are doing nothing for a while but thats fine as long as they have good booking for a majority of the time.

Also along with that I think a slow build has also started for Neviel and for Sami Zayn.

Lets be real, WWE doesn't know how to build credible stars. I love Ambrose, Rollins, and Wyatt.....Reigns has a bright future, and Daniel Bryan is good too....but none of them are real stars.

The last real star that WWE helped push to "that level" was CM Punk. None of the guys on today's roster of the new generation cracks Pop culture like Rock, Austin, Hogan, NWO, Macho Man, DX, Kurt Angle, Jericho ect did. People like to act like they're stars and get all pissed when someone says otherwise, but the truth is, they're not stars. None of them make WWE must watch TV, and that's mostly WWE's fault.

Within the bland world of WWE, then yes I guess you can consider them Stars compared to the rest of whats on the roster. Not like what we consider to be stars back in the day.

The problem was keeping tge talent, and some bad booking in the nean time. Remember how many world title ppv matches Batista was in....in a row? Like what around 20? Same could be said with Cena. So it was mostly a 2 pony show during the time with others being the fillers.

But I do think they are trying to push new stars now, it will just be a matter of: how many straight title matches or ppv main events will Reigns be in, hes already in his 4th ppv main event in a row. If Reigns is in 15 straight ppv main events can you still say x y and z are also being pushed as equal stars? I hardly think you can. But thats just if, and thats just ppv main events, for what ever they mean and amount to.
