The West Coast Wrestling Company's "Night of Reckoning" Oct 24-Davey Richards Debuts!

The Epitome of Excellence
"There comes that mysterious meeting in life when someone acknowledges who we are and what we can be, igniting the circuits of our highest potential."
-Rusty Berkus

After rounding off one of the West Coast Wrestling Company's most powerful shows on September 18th, that night many of us were more than glad to let out a collective exhale of relief. The accomplishments of WrestleWar 2010 were far beyond what anyone could have anticipated. One thing that you certainly don't think about at the end of a largely successful show such as this is that the planning for the next one is going to consume your life once again-starting the next day. For those of us who are responsible for the inner-workings of this company, we look at our upcoming show not as a burden, nor an inconvenience (let's face it, sometimes it truly does suck to have to put these shows together) but as a milestone. Coming off the heels of a show that presented an entire card of match of the year candidates, we are feeling the pressure to knock another one out of the ball park... and we kind of like that feeling! It is with great pleasure that we announce our next show, Night of Reckoning on Sunday October 24th with an earlier start time of 5 PM.

MAIN EVENT
West Coast Heavyweight Title Match
Ric Ellis (champion) vs. Davey Richards (challenger)
-Ric Ellis began his career in 2007. Since the start of his career, it has been his dream to someday stand across the ring from his biggest influence, Davey Richards. When the West Coast Wrestling Company started in 2008, Ric Ellis began to turn heads immediately and continued to cripple his opponents in dominating fashion until he won the West Coast Heavyweight Title in September of 2009. Since September of 2009, Ric Ellis has been on a tear. He has been undefeated in title competition since then, having defended the title against any and all comers. In May of 2010, he decided that he would no longer wait for Davey to come to him... he would begin to pursue Davey, determined to make him take notice. He did so by first targeting Davey's trainer and friend, Tony Kozina. After a non-title loss in Arizona set Ellis back and forced him to re-think his readiness, he successfully defended the title against Tony in Los Angeles. Though successful, Ellis had failed to grab Davey's attention. After setting a date for September 25th, Ellis had convinced West Coast officials to book Davey's tag team partner, Eddie Edwards as his next challenger. With the booking set in stone, due to circumstances beyond the WCWC's control, the date had to move and Eddie would not be able to fulfill his challenge to Ellis. While some would view this as a major setback, Ellis instead called on the challenge of another part of Davey's past in Rocky Romero. Rocky and Ellis tore the house down at WrestleWar 2010 to a thunderous crowd reaction, but in the end Ellis came one step closer to getting the attention of his dream opponent by forcing Rocky to tap out. At the end of the show, Ellis proclaimed on the microphone that should Davey accept his public challenge, that the hunt would be on in the WCWC. October 24th now approaches and Davey Richards has finally taken notice of Ellis. Davey will surely show up on Oct 24th with the intention of breaking Ellis' streak, and proving that you can never be truly prepared for stepping into the ring with the man many are calling the best in the world. Can Ric Ellis prove to the world that he is as legitimate as they come, or has the champ finally bitten off more than he can chew? Will Davey do exactly what many are predicting and become the 4th West Coast Heavyweight Champion? Find out on October 24th at Night of Reckoning!

Wildcard Title Triple Threat Match
Jameson Stafford (champion) vs. LTP (challenger) vs. Jacob Diez (challenger)
-The path of the current Wildcard Champion has been viewed by many critics. While it has been debated how serious the title can be taken, it hasn't stopped any of his previous challengers from trying their hardest to ensure that he leaves without the belt. At WrestleWar 2010, Stafford's tedious feud with Rudy Luna came to a close-albeit controversially-as he was able to walk away from the Ladder Match with the title. Earlier in the evening, just before the 7-Man Scramble Match, it was announced that the winner would recieve a Wildcard Title shot on October 24th. The finish saw a double three-count with two different referees favoring different winners in LTP and Jacob Diez. Original plans called for a one-on-one match between the two, however, Stafford has made it clear that his main goal is to prove that he is the real deal ever since he was jeered for "using alternative means" to retain his title in his first encounter with Rudy. The challengers both, however, have goals of their own and that is to walk away with a title belt at the end of the evening. LTP wishes to mark his return to the WCWC with championship gold, while Jacob Diez desires to break out of the mid-card rut that he has seen as of late. The odds are stacked against the champ... who will leave with the title?

Singles Match
Brandon Gatson vs. Devin Sparks
-Devin Sparks has been on a rollercoaster ride. With an abundance of both wins and losses, he has seemingly experienced a somewhat mediocre-yet underrated-run since losing the West Coast Heavyweight Title. Many seem to have forgotten that this is the man that-at one point in time-was lauded as the leader of The Industry, the group's spokesman, and the next great technical and submission specialist in SoCal. Devin has been asking for a true challenge, and on October 24th, he will recieve the biggest challenge of his career. Brandon Gatson has been contacting the offices relentlessly, voicing his definite intention of making a go at Ric Ellis. However, with Ellis facing his dream opponent Davey Richards, we felt it only necessary that if Brandon wanted a championship-caliber opponent, who better than the WCWC's first ever Heavyweight Champion? Being a former champion elsewhere, Gatson is very familiar with a big match situation and will stop at nothing to earn a shot at whoever the champ is when his time comes. A loss to Devin will surely set him back, but it must be considered just how favorable the odds do indeed favor him. If anything, Devin Sparks will have much more to prove than he ever has. Will the rollercoaster of Devin's career continue to climb slowly, or will it reach the crest of the hill and plummet back down to obscurity?

Lucha Libre Returns
Mercurio, Jr. vs. Vintage Dragon
-It has been a pleasure to welcome the tradition of lucha libre to our shows and this show is no different. Both men in this one are well-versed in the craft of lucha libre. Mercurio, Jr. is going into this one after coming off the heels of a win over Mexus at WrestleWar 2010. Vintage Dragon has seen two losses since his debut, one being to Devin Sparks in a huge singles match at Conflict Resolution II and the other being the 7-Man Scramble at WrestleWar 2010. Dragon will be looking for a big rebound, while Mercurio will be looking to capitalize on his previous success and continue his rise up the card.

Fatal Four-Way Match
"Iron Lion" Tony Leo vs. Kid Vegas vs. Johnny Saovi vs. Remy Marcel
-After coming up short in the 7-Man Scramble at WrestleWar 2010, Tony Leo, Kid Vegas, and Jonny Saovi will look at this as somewhat of a rematch. Remy Marcel, however, will be making his debut here and would like nothing better than to make his debut with a bang. This match will end up having huge effects on the WCWC career of the winner, as this one will definitely be competitive. Look for plenty of high-flying and strong style action in this one, with the winner to recieve a rise up the card.

Krazy Kyle Haystacks, Rudy Luna, and much more to be announced!

Good day to all here on WZForums. I just wanted to share with you guys some news regarding my promotion, The West Coast Wrestling Company. I would love for you guys to check our YouTube channel out (featured above) and if anyone on these forums is in the Socal area (or even a little ways up north) I invite you out to this show. We've been around for just over two years and would love to get our product out there. Indy wrestling needs to succeed in order to continue and it will only succeed if the IWC is aware of when and where it is happening. Thanks ahead of time for any support you guys may offer, whether it be views, ticket sales, DVD sales, discussions, or constructive criticism.

Here is a promo from The WCWC's former champion, Devin Sparks as he issues a warning to current PWG Star and his biggest challenge to date Brandon Gatson. I feel this promo delivers a clear message and as always, feedback is welcome both on our thread and our youtube channel.
